I had a section and was up and about the same day, no pain

I didn't have another child to look after however but looking back I would have coped

do you have friends/family/MNers around?

xx

suedonim · 28/08/2008 13:35

How frightening, Aitch. I'm glad you're home for now and send you very best wishes for whatever lies ahead.

Aitch · 28/08/2008 13:35

oh, and the builders are still upstairs, banging away. and our bathroom was being repaired yesterday (some leaking tiles) and they turned up yesterday and lolol haven't shown today and aren't answering calls. it's hysterical in a way.

Thank you for the update Aitch.

Things sound much more positive than tehy did when you did your OP and it sounds like your hosp is actually pretty good(imo anyway)

QuintessentialShadow · 28/08/2008 13:35

Good to hear your update Aitch. Good you are home, and keep your little one inside for a little longer.

If you get a moment, will you email me? (petrovafossil at gmx dot de). I have some things I would like to send to you

LittleMyDancing · 28/08/2008 13:39

Good to hear that you're at home for now, I'm crossing everything for you that the LO stays put for as long as possible.

As for the builders, there's a thousand MN voodoo dolls having pins stuck in them right this second....you should hear a dull thud or two as the pins take effect and they drop to the ground.

Tatties · 28/08/2008 13:41

Sending positive vibes your way... hope everything goes well for you Aitch

MamaG · 28/08/2008 13:42

Glad you're home Aitch, will keep everything crossed for you xx

OracleInaCoracle · 28/08/2008 13:46

oh aitch, so glad you are home for the time being at least. dya want me to sort out those fecking builders for you?

funnypeculiar · 28/08/2008 13:47

Missed this thread somehow - lovely to come into it when you are back home (albeit with builders )

My best mate had her baby at 32 weeks. He was in scbu for a good few weeks, but she managed to bf/express - and she wasn't a hugely commited bfer before the birth. Whilst she found it a faff (waking herself up every 3 hours at night to express when there wasn't even a baby in the house was wierd!) she managed it.

He is, incidentally, now probably the most angelic, gorgeous little boy ever made. Much nicer than mine.

Sure with your determination you can make it work

Do keep us informed

madmouse · 28/08/2008 14:04

Aitch no one would have a lo in scbu voluntarily, but it is a great place with wonderful staff, particularly nurses are very caring and love babies.
