Full term tomorrow! Due 12th June, anyone want to wait for their babies with me?

I’m full term tomorrow with my fourth baby, planning a homebirth. Anyone want to wait for their babies with me? My due date is 12th June. I always found myself in TWW threads when TTC and this feels similar

I’ve finished work and am waiting for the nice weather this weekend to hand-wash and dry all the big items from the loft (car seat, next to me, etc.)

I have a high energy 2 year old who is still breastfed so I have been getting some tightenings but I think it’s just when I’ve been feeding her. She is at nursery today and the bigger two at school so I’m washing some clothes and preparing the house.

It’s so nice to have some time to myself and I’m feeling really quite patient… for now…

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Ahhh I'm not pregnant but this a lovely thread. I really wish you well and hope you don't have much longer to wait! An exciting time! Enjoy your day, hopefully you will get lots done! X

I'm not as close as you, EDD 18th June. I also have a 2 year old who is at the childminder this week. Yesterday I washed and dried all the baby clothes, muslins, blankets etc. Today I'm freshening up the moses basket, next to me, pram etc as I am back to work on Monday for 2 weeks!

I am also having brazton hicks for about 3 weeks now. Had my show almost 2 weeks ago 😂 That panicked me a bit.

Mini heatwave next week will possibly kill me off 😂😂😂

OneMoreCoffee3 · 21/05/2026 10:15

Oh bless you! I was about to say I was so sorry that you were still working then stopped myself because you may prefer that! If you’d rather be off then I am sorry you don’t get the same break. I’ve had my previous babies from 33-39 weeks so I wanted a couple of weeks off ideally and half term is next week. 2yo goes school hours Wednesday-Friday so I’m trying to make the most of this few days as it could be my only bit of childfree time

I’ve been having braxton hicks and lost some plug (but not the enormous plug I know is possible 😅), sometimes they feel more period painy and I wonder if things will progress but it all cools off again.

I’m hoping the heatwave won’t be too bad 🤞

Ohh I'm due 10th June! Been having period cramps for last few weeks and keep waking up at 3am with period pain that seems to fade as day goes on. No shows or anything yet and first baby so not expecting very much to happen though I did want to try getting some colostrum but don't want to induce labour 😅

I did 3 weeks of colostrum harvesting on my first and the little fecker still had to be induced on his due date 😂

That makes me feel better 😃 I might start then after the weekend!

Nice to hear that in a weird way. I’ve spent 3am onwards in the bath a few times for it to all go off again. Just the beginning of the beginning of our bodies getting ready

That makes me feel better too! It's always around 3am and I even started writing timings down the other. Week but it just fizzled out by morning. I secretly hope I'm dialating slowly so my birth goes quickly but who knows 🤣

37 weeks today, so happy that I’ve made it to the gestation that means I would be supported in my home birth! I hope you enjoy the sunshine today if you are UK

I’m 4 days over!! Started mat leave at 38 weeks and getting very fed up now. I was really hoping she’d come before the heat wave

HVPRN · 22/05/2026 07:03

Morning! I’ll join. Due 9th June.

Tandem breastfed my first two many years ago - toddler was still feeding. I remember the braxten hicks etc when she fed, my son came at 41 weeks though ;)
My current 3.5y old will be going to nursery today so I can rest up as I have a cold the teenager brought back 😵‍💫

I finished work the other week - nest and rest time!

It’s so hard psychologically to go over, a ‘due window’ would be better than a due date so we don’t feel late over 40 weeks! I hope you manage in the heat wave and that if you go into labour you’ve got lots of fans and damp cloths on hand.

I’m going to try to actively enjoy the peace and quiet before the new baby comes to keep me patient but I’m not sure how long that will last…

Sounds quite similar to my situation - my eldest is 13. I think tandem feeding is definitely the cause of my tightenings, it took me a while to click that it was the cause though, especially because I’ve had a preterm birth before.

I hope you don’t feel too poorly and get to enjoy a bit of child free time today

@OneMoreCoffee3Thank you! So far had a lovely friend round and going for a siesta this afternoon! :)

Hope everyone has a lovely day

OneMoreCoffee3 · 23/05/2026 09:13

I did so much yesterday, I didn’t stop. I’ve got nearly everything washed and I picked up a second hand pushchair I’m thrilled with. I was up from 11-3 in the night tightening but after having paracetamol only a few of them actually hurt (very mild). Tired today!

I've been cleaning too I don't think the weather is helping as I keep thinking it's a good opportunity to get things dry but I've vacuumed all my sofa today and I'm knackered lol. But I need to finish what I've started as I have a friend coming round! I'm trying to enjoy the sunny weather

BudgetBuster · 23/05/2026 12:00

My DH has decided today is a fantastic day to start doing some DIY that I've been asking him to do for about 3 months. So I'm trying to do normal cleaning, plus baby prep, with a 2 Yr old and the bloody dog under my feet in this heat 😂 The teenager is grounded from gaming and his phone so naturally he's unde my feet too.

We are off to a theme park tomorrow... lord help us.

Haha made me lol with the teenager - they hang around don’t they! (Plus dogs - right under my feet too!) 🙈 my teen loves his skateboard so me and toddler watching him with tricks.
Ooh Theme park fun - let us know how your day goes!

Loved getting washing done yesterday, I’ve had a headache last few days (still have a cold) but checked BP and temp so all okay. Hope you all have a lovely day ☀️

Oh wow, how has the theme park gone? We were out and about this morning and it felt relentlessly hot. My DH I think feels guilty at how much house and baby prep I’ve done so is also trying to find jobs to help but which just feel like they increase my load 😅

I hope you managed to get it all finished and put back together again. Because I’m planning a home birth I’m motivated to ensure each task is fully completed and the house reset. Sadly none of the members of my family seem as bothered about resetting the house to a standard I’d like to birth in…

@Notmycuppatea I can’t claim the theme park bravery, that’s @BudgetBuster. I wouldn’t like to steal her thunder 😂
