Full term tomorrow! Due 12th June, anyone want to wait for their babies with me?

I’m full term tomorrow with my fourth baby, planning a homebirth. Anyone want to wait for their babies with me? My due date is 12th June. I always found myself in TWW threads when TTC and this feels similar

I’ve finished work and am waiting for the nice weather this weekend to hand-wash and dry all the big items from the loft (car seat, next to me, etc.)

I have a high energy 2 year old who is still breastfed so I have been getting some tightenings but I think it’s just when I’ve been feeding her. She is at nursery today and the bigger two at school so I’m washing some clothes and preparing the house.

It’s so nice to have some time to myself and I’m feeling really quite patient… for now…

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Im not pregnant but I remember really well being pregnant with my second DS 4 years ago. It was a heatwave then as well. He was due on the 16th June and at bang on midnight I woke up with first contraction. He came at 8:00 on his due date and I just wanted to wish you all good luck and you will all have your little babies soon.

bebefin · 24/05/2026 18:38

I’m due my fourth too! 8th June. Eldest is 10 so not quite teen (although acts like it).
I’m 38 weeks tomorrow but all my babies come late so I’m expecting at least another 3 weeks, always jealous of those who’s babies come earlier!

Pregnantera · 24/05/2026 19:40

I’m due on the 1 June with my first baby. Have had absolutely zero signs of anything happening yet. Probably for the best as started my maternity leave last week and since then I cleared the spare bedroom, the room is now half decorated and I have the rest of the contents dotted about the house waiting to be re-homed/thrown away. Why did this seem like a good idea in a heatwave?
I also can’t get any colostrum at all so that’s worrying me now as the date gets closer.

I got very little colostrum 2 years ago with my son. The little I did get never even got used but I fed up til he was 23.5 months!

So don't be too worried. Babies are far more effective at mill extraction than hand expressing or pumping.

HVPRN · 24/05/2026 20:13

@PregnanteraI agree with @BudgetBuster:) mine fed past toddlerhood, it wasn’t a thing to colostrum harvest. Good for those with gestational diabetes or other reasons professionals personally advised.
I advise straight on breast within 20-30mins, and bring to the breast loads; 1-2 hourly. Feel like you’ve just finished a feed before starting up again 😅

Pregnantera · 24/05/2026 20:40

@BudgetBuster @HVPRN thank you ladies. So worrying as a first time Mum when something isn’t going as you are told it should and my mind spirals so much as it is!

It’s really normal to not be able to express much antenatally and then feed very successfully. A friend of mine had her second baby on Friday and was so shocked she couldn’t really express colostrum because she had only finished feeding her now 3 year old at 20 weeks pregnant with this one so thought it would be easy peasy as a seasoned breastfeeder.

You really can’t feed them enough when they are first born, any feeding cue is worth feeding. It primes your breasts for feeding and brings your milk in sooner.

Yes please to this. Due my 2nd 19 June, first nearly 9, came 5 weeks early… still holding on here. Got a planned section but not told of date until at least 2 weeks before. Have a scan and check up with consultant tomorrow! How is everyone doing?

OneMoreCoffee3 · 25/05/2026 08:26

Gave the children three options for activities today and they’ve opted for the cinema, I’m thrilled, haha. We’re screen free for the 2 year old still so I’m hoping it’s novel enough that she sits through the film and then has a nap after.

I didn’t get woken up with tightenings last night and I don’t think I’m anywhere near labour yet. 38 weeks on Friday and I’ve never made it to 39 weeks so time will tell!

How are you all?

@Nightscroller1 Do you think you'll be told your section date tomorrow? Or will they try to leave you closer to the 40w mark?

@OneMoreCoffee3 I'm back to work today for 2 weeks. Our 2yr old would never sit still long enough for a cinema trip 😂He'll barely sit still long enough to get dressed. He's an outdoor kid 24/7 so Daddy will have to find something to do hah

Pregnantera · 25/05/2026 08:55

@OneMoreCoffee3 that’s so re-assuring thank you! You would think your friend would have got colostrum so easily!!
An air-conditioned cinema might be a good shout for today.
I am 39 weeks today and absolutely no signs of anything happening. Not even pressure in my pelvis, think this one is here for the long haul.

Birminghambabe03 · 25/05/2026 10:19

I’m joining although I’m actually due in July. Full term in June though!

Nightscroller1 · 25/05/2026 13:46

@BudgetBuster i don’t think so, at our hospital it’s a centralised booking arrangement and I checked in on a local mum Facebook page and they were all told in the week before and it varied from 39 to 39+6!

the way I’m feeling and my feet are swelling this heat id not be sad if it was soon!

Ah yes, I understand. Wasn't sure if it was a medical need thing that maybe they wouldn't let you go beyond a certain term.

At least the weather might die down a bit before we all have to go having babies 😂

OneMoreCoffee3 · 25/05/2026 14:23

I agree, I don’t fancy trying to feed and be skin to skin with a newborn and trying to keep them cool whilst also trying to comfort them. All sounds very sweaty and sticky 😂

@BudgetBusteragree with you both 🥵

BudgetBuster · 25/05/2026 15:13

I'm inside working and literally sweltering. Meanwhile my toddler is having a sandwich and fruit poolside in the garden and my husband sipping a non-alcoholic cocktail supervising 😂😂

Why did I not think a June baby through more 😂😂

Nightscroller1 · 26/05/2026 07:49

Has anyone got the swelling feet yet? I actually can’t believe how swollen mine are! Never had this last time and my DD was born in July!

When is everyone working up to? I haven’t decided as don’t have my C section date but thinking 2/3 days before.

Babycatsmummy · 26/05/2026 08:14

I’m currently 36+3 and have sent my 2 year old over to my Grandparents for the week as my PGP is absolutely destroying me! I’m having a C-section next week because of a few issues and I’m gutted as was absolutely adamant I was going for VBAC this time around. X

Pregnantera · 26/05/2026 08:23

@Nightscroller1 I’m not really getting any swelling yet, not noticeable anyway. I stopped work at 38 weeks pregnant, I have a high stress job and it was decided it was better for me to stop where I could do a proper handover than leave unexpectedly. At least with a planned date you can arrange around that.

@Babycatsmummy I’m sorry it must be so disappointing for you. I have an appointment today to discuss a caesarean this morning due to complications, it’s not what I want myself so it’s hard to accept.

Yes! My feet were like balloons yesterday unfortunately... I got a fright tbh. They've calmed down overnight so I'm going to try to keep elevated now today although I'm working so not so easy 😂

I'm 36+5 but it was definitely just the heat and probably walking at the theme park the day before.

HVPRN · 26/05/2026 10:28

Swelling is on/off for me. Defo feels weather related.

I finished at 36 weeks 😁 however I had nothing prepared so last few weeks I’ve been getting organised for LO. Feeling nearly there now. Want to clean car out - last job!

warmbeluga · 26/05/2026 10:51

Hello, I would love to join you but don’t know if I’m a bit early for you all. I’m due 20th June with my first, so 36+3 today.

I’m also planning a home birth, but baby is currently
measuring toddler sized and well above the 97th centile on their own none existent line in the heavens of the growth chart!! This is just via fundal height measurements so having a growth scan this aft which will give me more info to go off, although it’s all still highly inaccurate info🫠 Has anyone else has a suspected giant first baby? I’d be a lot more calm if it was my 4th normal delivery!

Hope you are all surviving the heat. Had my feet in the dogs paddling pool all yesterday, but I think I might have to fully submerge today!!
