@rach971so good, lovely to see a picture too 😊

Aprahel87 · 13/05/2026 18:30

my midwife told me no news is good news, she only needs to reach out if there is an issue. Haven’t seen them in my pregnancy notes either

33Carr · 13/05/2026 19:04

Ahh ok thanks everyone, I’ll raise it on my next appointment that it hasn’t been updated but won’t worry about it until then! She did say they’re very new to badger notes so maybe they’re just not utilizing it properly yet.

lovely photo @rach971 makes me giddy for our first proper scan, can’t wait to see bubba 💕

rach971 · 13/05/2026 19:08

@33Carr Thank you 🥰 Still can't believe everything was okay

hollyhocks2 · 13/05/2026 19:20

ohh @rach971 I am sooo happy for you! What a relief. Gorgeous photo!

Ncl31 · 13/05/2026 20:24

@rach971 what a beautiful scan photo, I can’t wait until we’re able to get such a clear photo.

@33Carr my midwife said they have to manually input the results in so maybe yours haven’t got round to it yet

33Carr · 13/05/2026 20:47

Yeah that makes sense @Ncl31 thank you

rach971 · 13/05/2026 21:03

Thank you @hollyhocks2 and @Ncl31 ❤️

MsPussinBoots · 13/05/2026 21:16

It's so exciting to see a scan pic! I'm so glad everything was ok.
I was worried this morning that I had no symptoms at all but have been feeling sick since 3pm so ... yay? It's really hard hiding this from my Velcro tween but I want to have a scan before I tell her.

scan done, booking appointment done.

i cried, as soon as I saw that heartbeat 🥲
measuring a few days ahead, so 8 weeks tomorrow instead of Friday. And due 23rd dec.

Omg same here @Niftymum88!!! Had my rescan in epu and saw a lovely heartbeat and baby measuring exactly 8 weeks so my date is also 23rd 🩷 amazing news! Still due date buddies atm 🥰 starting fragmin injections tonight 🙏🏻

SausageRoll90 · 13/05/2026 23:21

For context I need fragmin / blood thinners as I have a blood clotting issue that was causing reoccurring miscarriages, I had aspirin and blood thinners on my son's pregnancy and it was obviously successful so this time I'm back on the thinners - happily so.

Although I did forget how bloody stingy they are 😬😳 ouch!

Kate543 · 14/05/2026 06:45

Hello all, haven’t checked in for a week or so as our household has been so poorly😩 just checking in to the new thread!

Ncl31 · 14/05/2026 07:41

@SausageRoll90 so pleased everything was fine on scan, it’s so lovely seeing them isn’t it.

im on Tinzaparin and aspirin this pregnancy alongside progesterone as after my third miscarriage I was tested for “sticky blood” I am positive for APS and Factor V Leiden. Do thinners for the duration.
Did they give you a definitive plan for delivery with your son? Or were you allowed to crack on as normal?

Alwaysgrowing · 14/05/2026 12:48

I have bager notes and a purple folder. I just had the purple folder last time. It doesn't have the pregnancy information on anymore, it's just for scans as they don't use badger notes for that. That's annoying with changing. I am also trying to change my appointments, looking for a scan cancellation so it's before 14 weeks and my daughter has an assembly on another. She's so excited and it's on her birthday so I can't miss it.

pastaislife · 14/05/2026 13:08

hello all, just checking in! haven’t chatted as much for a good few weeks, have had two scans at 7+3 and 9+3 with quite a large hematoma which has been worrying, but baby looked great on both scans and not had any bleeding yet 🤞🤞 hoping for the SCH to be gone at 12 week scan. Almost 11 now, thrilled to have made it this far! Symptoms been fairly mild last few weeks including before last scan so trying not to stress on that too much!

Ncl31 · 14/05/2026 16:56

@pastaislife great news that little one looks well on your scans. When is your dating scan?
by LMP I’m 10+4 but I’m guessing I’m around 10+2 from ovulation. Got my dating scan on 27th so I’ll be around 12+1

pastaislife · 14/05/2026 17:07

@Ncl31 thank you! 🥰 dating scan is on 28th where I think I’ll be 12+4 going from ovulation and previous scans size! So very similar to you x

Desperatelyseekingme · 14/05/2026 18:48

Hey everyone, just checking in. I had my last scan with early pregnancy today and I'd been worried due to symptoms reducing but all was great, lots of movement and very much looks like a baby now! She took two measurements one 11+2 then baby stretched and she got 12 weeks, by lmp I'm 11+3 so expecting to be somewhere in between on dating scan - they won't scan me again as my dating scan is 27th - also sickness came back after 3 days with none x

Ahhh I have APS too and found out after my 3rd loss as well. I didn't have a plan for birth specifically. They were happy with his growth and I had to stop my fragmin at some point before (can't remember how long before now) and I had an induction at 40+1. I also had gestational diabetes which ended up being the thing they were more mindful of in the labour. But all were happy for me to go to term and have a natural delivery because he was growing nicely along the 50th centile.

I'm hoping that I'll feel less anxious this time and have a spontaneous labour rather than an induction. Although I had a positive experience of induction, I'd quite like to be able to labour at home. X

howluckyarewe · 14/05/2026 20:55

@rach971 what a beautiful scan photo!

Not long until dating scans now, and I'm getting so excited to tell my DC. I don't think I let myself feel the hope until now but tentatively starting to loosen up a bit.

My mind is skipping ahead to labour and delivery already, and I know there's so many steps and milestones to meet in between. I'd really love another spontaneous labour but guessing this will be a second induction for me.

Is anyone else a vegetarian craving meat? 😂 I’ve not eaten meat for 12 years but I keep getting a taste of beef and I don’t know what to do! I’m not sure I can stomach actually eat meat after all this time, I’m quite squeamish.. I’ve been craving ice too which I’ve heard can mean low iron so perhaps the meat craving is linked to that. My prenatal vitamins contain iron but tbh, my current diet won’t supply me much iron, I’m so nauseous I can’t manage anything not bland. Any ideas?

I have the opposite - I normally love food and eat meat and fish regularly because I like the taste, but right now fish is a no and meat is quite difficult to get down 😆 I’m trying to eat meat every couple of days because of iron, as well as taking my vitamins, but also in the first trimester babies have enough nutrition from the yolk sac right??

something that doesn’t make sense to me and maybe I should ask ChatGPT or do some research is how on one hand the embryo is dependent only on the yolk sac in the first weeks (and this makes sense as some women are vomitting a lot, and yet babies are still fine) but at the same time you’re told it’s imperative to get folic acid? But how does it reach the embryo if it is only feeding from the yolk sac at the start?

anyone with a biology-related degree care to explain? 😆

Ncl31 · 14/05/2026 22:32

@SausageRoll90 I was told at my counselling after diagnosis that they’d have me deliver no later than 39 weeks. Growth scan and placental flow depending. 2 of my good friends/close colleagues who happen to be OBGYN consultants have suggested considering a c section. I’d already considered it and I think that’s the way I’m going to go to be honest.
i work in the operating theatre and see the wrong end of child birth with all the complications and nasty bits, I think I’d bE waaaaay to anxious with all of that worry

mamatotwo98 · 15/05/2026 06:26

Hi all! Just checking in to the new thread. I was cautious about being on a December thread as was right at the end of the year! However…went for a scan last night to be told that it was identical twins! Two heartbeats in one sac and it was potentially the biggest shock of my life. This was our unexpected (not unwanted) 3rd baby and so to find out it’s 3 & 4 has been wild! So I’m thinking I indeed will be a December (or earlier) mama now!

Ncl31 · 15/05/2026 07:22

@mamatotwo98 oh goodness what a surprise, how are you feeling about it now? I can’t imagine the shock, albeit lovely news. Congratulations x
