@dubkitten@zirafica @MintOwl you are welcome! Can’t believe we have almost filled the old thread up and I was worried about no one talking to me lol 😂

Thanks so much for setting this up, @pastelheart. This thread has been such a lifeline for me - I am so, so grateful. It's wonderful having a community of people who just 'get' how it is. Thanks all. ❤

Nosejug · 17/02/2026 10:17

Greetings! Good morning! My favourite thread. It’s like my pregnancy pals morning newspaper. Itching and insomnia camaraderie :)

SarahAndQuack · 17/02/2026 10:47

Oh, I wish MNHQ would give us a Grin reaction! That made me smile.

I forget who asked on the old thread - was it @AmberRose? - but the itching reminded me there was a question about aspirin and restless legs. I do get them but it doesn't bother me; I only connected it with the aspirin because it came up!

Today is gorgeous and sunny here; I hope it is with all of you and you're drinking in that vitamin D.

AmberRose26 · 17/02/2026 18:33

thank you @pastelheart for the new group .. this chat has been such a god send for sharing thoughts /worries and happy moments, so thank you, to you and everyone else 💛

@SarahAndQuack haha yes I looked for a laughing emoji also for @Nosejug comment ! 😂 yes it was me saying about the restless legs, thanks for replying 🥰

SamVan · 18/02/2026 18:28

Thanks for setting this up @pastelheart ! Leaving a message so it comes up on my list :)

pastelheart · 18/02/2026 20:46

You are welcome! I am getting a bit confused about what thread to comment on though lol 😂

Il just write on the new chat as the old one will be full soon ?! But I just wanted to update, I had my anatomy 20 weeks scan yesterday and all went well so really happy, feeling baby move lots now and getting some little feels on the outside of tummy which is nice, 21 weeks today !! Yay … ! hope everyone else is good. ☺️

Nosejug · 20/02/2026 08:31

Yayyy @AmberRose26 thats brilliant. Isn’t it funny, exactly the same for me where the 20 week scan came about and suddenly so did all the movements !

also… uh ohhhh I woke up this morning to be informed that I snored really loudly last night. It’s making me lol and I’d like him to record it but yeah, poor guy, def a pregnancy thing as I’ve now read! (Mind you, I’ve endured his intermittent snoring for far longer).

Oh, that's brilliant news! It's such a relief, isn't it?!

AmberRose26 · 21/02/2026 07:37

@SarahAndQuack @Nosejug yes was lovely to see baby again and get some more of that every needed reassurance that this is really happening. !!!!!! 😂🥰✨🤞🏽🙏… after 6 losses it’s really 7th time lucky , and it’s funny as this year it’s 7 years we have been together .. this is our 7th pregnancy and baby is due the 7th month .. that’s 777 .. these numbers mean everything is on track /the right path seemingly .. ✨
I keep waking myself up snoring but it’s only when I lye on the right side .. when I am on my left I don’t seem to do it ?! Figure that haha ?! I never snore but it’s defo a thing at the min 🤭

Janefx40 · 21/02/2026 08:48

Hello! Sorry to butt in and won’t stick around but lovely to see this thread. I went through similar and set up threads like this in my time which were a total lifesaver. Pregnancy post IVF and/or loss is such an anxious time. I have 2 IVF children now aged 7 and 2. Everyone adores their kids but I think having gone through difficult times to have them makes you appreciate them even more. I still stare at mine and can’t believe they are here. Best of luck. I hope the nerves settle soon and you are able to enjoy your pregnancies. Best of luck and lots of love xxx

AmberRose26 · 21/02/2026 13:08

@Janefx40 awh that’s a lovely message ! So happy things worked out for you, yes it is definitely a very anxious time and lots of emotions, just preying for a healthy rest of pregnancy and safe and healthy birth here and for all the ladies also, You definitely don’t take things for granted and feel so so bless when things do seem to be going well ! Thank you for sharing your story it’s really lovely to hear 💛

AmberRose26 · 21/02/2026 15:10

Incase anyone is interested-
There’s an app ‘cubbi’ seen it on dragons den 😅 but it gives new mums /parents discounts on lots of stuff from clothes /baby stuff /food /days out etc .. I just downloaded it and having a look, just thought I would share ☺️

pastelheart · 22/02/2026 08:20

@AmberRose26 amazing news! And yay for movements, I found that even though I was expecting them to get stronger, it took my by surprise when they did actually get stronger! We went to an engagement party last night (I lasted until 11.30pm I’m so rock and roll) and everyone on our table was watching baby dance to the music as my tummy wouldn’t stay still lol 😂 also number 7 is my lucky number! So it’s a good number 🩷 will have a look at the app too!

@Nosejugwell it’s just karma for all the snoring you have had to listen to over the years 😂

@Janefx40amazing story and I am so glad you got your happy ending 🫶🏼

Hi everyone 👋🏻. Shall move over here now too! I was wondering why the other thread had gone quiet then realised 😅. Doing OK here but ate far too big of a yummy curry dinner last night and it just sat there all night long so I slept even worse than usual… really need to cut down my dinner portions now my tummy is being so squished and digestion is so slow but easier said than done! Otherwise doing OK. Still achey all round my pelvis and bump. Husband set up our pram this morning (eek!) and our antenatal classes (Bump and Baby) start tomorrow evening.

@Janefx40 Lovely to read such a supportive message from an ivf elder! So glad it all worked out for you in the end and such a good point about things meaning even more when they have been hard to come by.

CloudyIvy55 · 24/02/2026 14:26

Thanks @pastelheartfor the new thread! As others have said, it's been so nice to talk to such a lovely bunch of supportive women who understand ❤️ currently in the waiting room for my 28 week appointment with the midwife.

@Janefx40such a lovely message!! So nice to hear from someone on the other side of all this x

Sara237 · 24/02/2026 14:35

@pastelheart Thanks for continuing the thread and to echo what every else has said; it's fab to be here and to be amid fellow ivf kindreds!
So lovely to hear about all the movement and swaying bellies, I had a wobble yesterday as of couldn't feel much after feeling loads but midwives listened in when I called and all fine. It doesn't take a lot for panic to set in! I'm 24 weeks next week though. Yay! Enjoy the sunshine 🌞 it's so much nicer now Spring is imminent.

MintOwl · 24/02/2026 22:19

Great news about your scan @AmberRose26 - congratulations! Had a 28 wk scan today and all went well although it’s much harder to make out what they’re looking at now the baby’s bigger and extremely wriggly! Really reassuring and nice to have the extra scans even though it’s for high risk reasons. We expressed our preference of giving birth in the birthing centre as opposed to labour ward (one floor below) but they were quite firm in their recommendation for the latter so mulling that over.

Good to hear you got the reassurance from the midwives @Sara237and yes, loving these glimpses of spring! Hope everyone else is doing well

FancyGoose · 25/02/2026 09:09

Thanks for the new thread - I was also wondering why the other one was so quiet!

@MintOwl did they give you good reason for why they would recommend the ward? You have probably heard of it but the BRAIN acronym can be helpful when weighing up what you want and discussing things with Drs. It's hard when you have a particular plan in mind but as long as the baby arrives safely and you are well too that's the only thing that really matters 🥰

I had a doppler scan yday and the blood flow is looking good still so that's a relief as baby is now growth restricted. Seeing fetal medicine next week and a full growth scan as well and then section has been bought forward to the following week now (37w) which feels so unbelievably soon. Having a lot of trouble with anxiety and keep having visions of the worst happening though, just with our history and all the risk factors it is hard to believe it might really happen.

CloudyIvy55 · 25/02/2026 10:23

@FancyGooseglad you've had some good news. Can completely relate to having visions of the worst happening... I think when we've all been through so much and things not going right, that it's hard to believe they actually might!

I've had this reoccurring thought for a while and I haven't posted it on here as I don't want to sound completely crazy but I cant shake the worry that there's been some mix up at the IVF clinc and the embryo used wasn't ours.... I feel crazy even writing it down and I know it's anxiety getting the best of me. I think my brain is constantly scanning for the next problem and if there isn't one...it will make one up! 😂🤦‍♀️

SarahAndQuack · 25/02/2026 10:31

Good luck with your meeting and scan, @FancyGoose. It all feels really soon! I understand the anxiety but it sounds as if they are looking after you so well.

@CloudyIvy55, you don't sound crazy at all. I think IVF generates so much worry; it's really easy to keep thinking there's another shoe to drop. I had a dream just last night that the baby was born and the nurse asked me what race the donor was as she didn't look like me (I'm not having a girl!), and I felt terribly stressed because I couldn't remember, and I had this horrible feeling I really ought to know, and maybe she wasn't mine, but since I couldn't remember anything about the donor, I couldn't be sure. My brain is clearly over-active when I'm asleep! Grin

I'm really enjoying the hormones at the moment - it's so nice having 24 week well in sight (Friday this week). More and more people I know have noticed I'm pregnant and it's been very nice not having to 'announce' as such.
