oh wow congratulations @SarahAndQuack and welcome welcome to earth precious little baby boy! Thanks for sharing your birth story, I’m so glad that not only was it a good experience in itself but also a healing one. I hope you’re feeling well enough after haemorrhage and stitches, a speedy recovery from your fit body is hopefully on yhe cards. Enjoy the joyful hormonal soup!! Xx

Nosejug · 23/06/2026 03:17

@AmberRose26 how exciting, it’s all happening! Glad they’re looking after you well, how do you feel? Must be cool knowing that you’re just around the corner! Today was my planned caesarean date! Is everything in order at home? Hope you’re managing some r&r and sleep in all the excitement (and heat!)

MintOwl · 23/06/2026 05:11

congratulations @SarahAndQuack such wonderful news. And great to hear about your healing birth story - well done! Wishing you a speedy recovery and sending a hearty welcome to your baby boy.

@SarahAndQuack awh what a lovely story and massive congratulations to you and your beautiful baby boy !! He will be in the garden with you soon enough helping you 💙🥰.. .. that’s amazing well done you with no pain relief also !! I am hoping to have the diamorphine but as you say you just dunno how it will go on the day .. oh that’s interesting about the contraction just in your lower tummy.. Hope you heal quick from the blood loss, what happens do they give you an injection to help with that at the time of you don’t mine me asking ? glad you are home and getting settled into your routine etc.

thanks @Nosejug @MintOwl i slept ok last night on and off .. little cramping, it’s mainly when I stand /sit up right so I don’t think it’s proper contractions as it wouldn’t go away when I lie on my side etc in bed? Will just wait and see how it progresses 🤞🏽✨🙏💛

pastelheart · 23/06/2026 08:12

@SarahAndQuack CONGRATULATIONS! I’m so glad you had a lovely birth and felt listened to by the midwives, it really makes a difference. Sorry to hear about the tear and blood loss, I hope you are feeling okay and not too uncomfortable

enjoy your baby bubble

@SarahAndQuack Amazing news, reading your post has made me feel really emotional this morning. We are SO blessed to have these babies. So pleased that your birth experience was overwhelmingly positive despite the blood loss and tear and that you felt heard and cared for. I'm just sitting here feeding ATM, another rough night but I seem to get 2 rough ones and then a better so will be sleeping today! Hope you can take it easy and have what you need. I've been checking on here to see any updates but hadn't realized I'd logged out so had zero notifications! You've been on my mind. Congratulations 👏 🎉 xxx

Baby girl arrived Friday night weighing 7lbs15 so not a heavy as expected, she came quick, got pessary in to induce me at 2pm, by 7pm she had to take it out as was getting really strong cramps /waves which were coming 6 in ten mins .. after pessary came out cramps continued and by 8ish my waters broke, started active labour at 8:20 by 8:45 pm she was born .. only 20 mins of pushing she was out .. my placenta didn’t all come out in a oner so I had to be taken to theatre and put to sleep to get the little bits still attached to my uterus out .. I lost 1 litre and a half of blood, all home now and healing well, baby girl is just cluster feeding today (day 2) she’s literally been none stop for over 12 hours but I guess she’s just ordering in her milk for tomorrow .. the more she sucks today the more she will get tomorrow 😅. The midwife did say my milk may take a couple days longer to come in due to the blood loss. Other than that all good baby has a good latch etc so that’s one less thing to worry about 😅 just enjoying the best baby cuddles ever hope ..everyone else is good ✨💛

dubkitten · 28/06/2026 18:38

Congratulations @AmberRose26 welcome to the world little princess 💕

MintOwl · 28/06/2026 21:42

Wonderful news- congratulations @AmberRose26!

Nosejug · 29/06/2026 08:13

Ooooh @AmberRose26 wonderful news!! And wow such a short active labour that’s amazing! Sorry about the placenta portion of labour though, I hope that wasn’t too scary. I was early so not sure if it’s the same but also had similar blood loss (2L) and milk did take some pumping but came after a couple of days of determination! Was still getting a little though and sounds like your beautiful girl is doing all the right signalling! May your boobs inflate swiftly! Best congratulations and welcome welcome precious little one ♥️

Sara237 · 29/06/2026 08:32

Oh, this is wonderful news! Huge congratulations! I am so happy for you - she sounds like a real trooper. I'm sorry you had such a rough time.

FWIW I lost 1.2 litres, so slightly less, and my milk was delayed a bit but it's fine now. Hopefully it will be the same for you!

@AmberRose26congrats!! Am I the only one left now? 😭😭

Not long now, right?! When is your due date?

Nosejug · 29/06/2026 22:58

@zirafica i do believe you are the last! You have a lot of exclusive cheerleaders! Are you 14th/21st aug still? Quite a wee way to go!! How are you feeling? Mobility was really painful for me towards the last few weeks and very dramatically improved after birth. And one of the best things (aside from the new world I’m getting to know) is sleeping on my back again! It’s wonderful. I do it every night!

zirafica · 30/06/2026 06:27

@SarahAndQuack@Nosejug hi bothhhhh!! Yeah it’s 14th/21st so still a while to go! I’m actually feeling absolutely fine? No pains or aches, least pregnant I’ve felt so far? It’s odd! I am getting loads of sugar cravings which is very out of character for me but other than that I’d say I’m pretty normal… mentally though I’m back in the trenches, worrying about how it’s all going to look like when the baby is here and how my partner will behave and whether I should start buying clothes now or not yet and what can still go wrong and whether I’m actually ready for this… it’s so funny that it’s still a month and a half away but also feels like it’s going to be so soon!!!

Backtotheicsi · 03/07/2026 13:05

Hey ladies I’ve been meaning to pop on and see that all your little lovelies have arrived (almost all) congratulations ladies! Little miss is now 4 months old and has been home 1 month! Thank you all for your support during those few months of pregnancy I’m glad to be able to give a happy update 🥰

pastelheart · 03/07/2026 14:19

@Backtotheicsi yaaaay! That’s a lovely update, I’m so pleased for you 🩷 I wanted to tag you to see how you are but knew you had a lot going on.

Oh wow @Backtotheicsi im so glad to hear she’s home with you now! Must feel amazing to be back in your own environment with her! Hope family life is feeling wonderful 🌞♥️

Backtotheicsi · 03/07/2026 15:55

thanks ladies, it has been amazing she had over come so much. I can’t believe how fast time has gone when I look back to those of us in that ivf group! Enjoy ladies we have all gone through so much to get to this point we deserve it! Xxx

Nosejug · 03/07/2026 15:57

Aw@zirafica I recognise those worries. I started separating worries that were actually weighty and those that felt fleeting, and that helped me recognise that some of the stuff was only a worry because it was an unknown. Glad you’ve been feeling great pregnancy wise though! It will go fast. It goes even faster upon arrival! My girl is 4 weeks today!
