Hey folks. Thought I’d set up a thread for those expecting in September next year. I got my bfp yesterday at 10dpo on Christmas Day 🥹. I think my due date would be around 6th September. It would be nice to keep in touch with some ladies going through similar things. Xxx

@Bluesea14 is your placenta anterior? Apparently can take until about 28 weeks to start feeling bigger movements - but as PP says if its a change and unsure go to triage!

Very true re climate crisis! Feels like its talked about by politicians less then in last 8 years or so weirdly. And all this money were spending on heat waves because of not taking action sooner.

Sorry about the back pain. Is it severe? I lie sideways when reading work stuff but don't often have that kind of task. Have you found any yoga exercises that work? That's my aim for the weekend! Good luck

It’s been a little better now I’m seeing a physio and making an effort to look after it a bit more although I have to push myself to not be lazy in the evenings!

8 weeks until delivery and I've made peace with the fact I will be miserable. To try to keep cool I'm putting a damp towel in the freezer and stuffing it down my shirt/dress and drinking all the water.

Anyone got a breech baby? I’m 32 weeks been for a growth scan today growth fine but she’s frank breech! 🙈 said not to worry as of yet but I aM worried haha

Yes! Me! At my 32 week scan I had a head in my ribs and feet dancing on my cervix. I've started trying to do the biomechanical positions they recommend and I'm hoping at my 36 week scan baby will have rearranged!

I’ve got bum in cervix and feet up! Mine is frank breech! Worried that she’s running out of room to move! I’ll have a look at those positions!

How is everyone getting on?

My hands and feet are getting swollen in this heat which I’ve never had before, have previously kept all my rings on until the end. I’m quite miserable tbh, very uncomfortable and can’t sleep when it’s so hot.

Only 2.5 weeks to go and I'm SO ready to have her now. I have to go to hospital weekly to make sure she's in the right position since she was breech at the 36 week scan.

Also very swollen from the heat here! Saw the MW today and baby is apparently transverse but hopefully plenty of time to turn. Hoping they’ll send me for a scan if they’re still unsure at 36 weeks.

I was due 15th September but went into labour on 10th July and baby was born at 30 weeks +3 days.
Hes now 35 weeks + 3 days (5 weeks old) and doing really well.
Still in the Neonatal unit. But off all monitoring and just learning to feed before he can come home ❤️

Yes the day I had my scan she was Frank breech. I tried doing these weird yoga poses I found on the internet to try and make her move. The next day I had ECV and they found she had moved to transverse.

When they did the ECV she moved very easily. I think it took longer for the meds to kick in so as of Wednesday she was in the correct position. I'm getting checked again on Monday.

My bubba is frank breech too! I’m not keen on having an ECV looks quite intense?? And done some reading and looks like can end in an emergency section - how did you find the ECV?

I know you weren’t asking me, but just wanted to say my baby was frank breech and I had an ECV at 36 weeks, it worked first try, they gave me an injection to relax my muscles and some gas and air and it was honestly not bad at all, slightly uncomfortable, but about a 2/10 on the pain scale. I had a scan this Thursday and he’s still head down and the head is now engaged.

I know they don’t always work, but don’t let the horror stories put you off if you’re keen on a vaginal delivery, the risk of an emergency section is very low, I was quoted 1 in 200, so 0.5% risk.

Thank you for this!! What concerns me is that my 2nd baby was 10lb 6 so I feel like she might be less likely to turn - and I feel like it’s messing with nature haha I don’t know ! Do you have to have frequent scans to check hasn’t moved back?

Not nearly as painful as I thought it would be. To give you a detailed run through. I went into the hospital. I was put on the CTG to make sure she was happy whilst the doctor was finishing rounds. The midwife had a feel and found she had moved a bit she then asked me what I knew about ECV. I told her it's the use of external pressure to move baby into the correct position. The doctor came in asked me some medical history questions then took a look with the ultrasound. The doctor made sure to tell me how painful the procedure is. They then gave me an injection of a medicine (in the leg) to relax my uterus so I don't go into early labour. That takes about 5 - 10 minutes to get to work. Then they got to the actual ECV procedure which only took maybe 5 minutes tops to move her. I was offered gas & air if it was too painful but honestly I've had deep tissue massages that where more intense. They checked with another ultrasound to confirm success. Then left me on the CTG to make sure everything was still good.

It does look a little weird because you can see the outline of your baby but funnily enough my bud was completely unbothered by it.

After they were happy baby was calm and I wasn't going to go into early labour they printed off a report for the file and told me at every upcoming appointment to check the position. They also gave me some exercises to do to encourage her to engage now she's in the correct position.

My baby is measuring quite big (7lb 11 at 37w), but he still turned. I’ve just had that one scan so far, but I’m having growth ones every two weeks anyway so hoping he doesn’t turn back!
