Hey folks. Thought I’d set up a thread for those expecting in September next year. I got my bfp yesterday at 10dpo on Christmas Day 🄹. I think my due date would be around 6th September. It would be nice to keep in touch with some ladies going through similar things. Xxx

Mine went great, it’s is growing at just above dates but only by 2 days so all is good, all the anatomy tests were great. The gent doing the scan was great, he could see I was nervous and he has scanned me before so he went straight for the heartbeat and showed us all was ok, he then did all the checks and showed us many angles of the baby.

glad yours went well @gardenflowerposter did you find out what you are having

That’s great news that it went well and sounds like the sonographer was really good too. - makes such a difference having good HCP involved. We found out we’re having a little girl and are so pleased. Would have been totally happy either way though as I already have a DS and love being a boy mum! What about you?

camelinastorm · 16/05/2026 17:49

We are keeping it a surprise
yes good staff make it so much better

KRB1796 · 10/06/2026 13:24

Hi there long time no speak! Think last time I came on this thread was when I had just announced my pregnancy at 12 weeks. I’m now 27 weeks with a healthy baby girl and all is well! Hope you ladies are good 🩷

gardenflowerposter · 11/06/2026 13:00

Hello! Hope everyone is doing well! This pregnancy is flying past, I’m 25 weeks tomorrow also with a baby girl šŸ’— anyone else feeling huge? My bump seems massive but I can’t really remember what it was like first time round!

camelinastorm · 12/06/2026 08:49

Hi all ohh seems to be a few baby girls about, we don’t know what we are having and actually have no idea, my bump still hasn’t popped as yet, still look like I’ve ate a few to many McDonalds, hoping it fully pops soon as right now I just feel uncomfortable in any clothing

glad to hear you are doing well and hopefully the summer flies past
have people bought like the large things, we have bought nothing up to now and still feel like it’s ages away
also is anyone having a baby shower? My friends want to organise one but I’m not sure

We've started the buy some extra things (we already have quite a bit from our son though), but it still feels like ages away too! But then again, I don't want to leave it too late and then have to get everything when feeling (even more!) massive lol!

My friend wants to do a baby shower too and I did have one for my first. Super low key, though. Basically just homemade afternoon tea at her house with some friends. Nothing fancy! It was really nice!

Literally the only things I've not purchased are sheets and pram. Babcia wants to buy that so we're going shopping today.

We're not doing a baby shower, it feels a bit tacky one of my very close friends (we had our fertility journeys together) sent us enough clothes for 6 months.

camelinastorm · 13/06/2026 09:33

@DefiantRabbit9 aww that’s so nice of your friend, I’m still so scared to buy stuff it’s been 5 years of IVF, thought I would relax a bit more once I hit viability, but nope still panicking all the time. We have had a few clothing items gifted and got an Emma’s diary pack that had a bottle and nappies in.
really need to get with it and accept I can actually buy stuff

I was like this too until my husband asked me if doing that would somehow make me less hurt by any bad news and told me it was time to enjoy our good news ā¤ļø I think when you start feeling regular movement it really helps.
This is our third baby so I don’t think we need to buy anything, do need to get all the baby stuff down from the loft though 🤯

I don't think the anxiety ever truly goes away. I try to keep it in check by reminding myself that every worry, every intrusive thought Lilith feels and effects her. I got back to my old hobby of knitting and that helps me not think about things that haven't happened and may never happen.

JesseMumsnet · 15/06/2026 13:13

Hey ladies,

Congratulations! Lots of exciting things happening in this thread šŸ’•

Hope it’s okay to jump in, it's pretty relevant and hopefully will benefit you all.

  • Free access to a nurse or midwife who you can message any time
  • Free content relevant to your stage, designed by our health team
  • Free drop in live classes on feeding, sleeping, baby first aid and more!

Pretty badly! Our house is fairly cool but even so I wake up soaked on sweat and can't get back to sleep. Out and about in london is hellish... and my lower back has started hurting almost constantly... apart from that fine Grin how about you?

I had to go to hospital after almost passing out on the train. Our house has been insulated to hell and back so I'm just plain miserable. Honestly I'm mentally struggling to hang in there. Only thing I hear is people saying "we need AC" not "we need to address the climate crisis and we need to do it now"

SoMuch2Say · 29/06/2026 13:00

Also really struggling with lower back pain, I’m seeing a physio which helps in the couple days after I’ve seen her but not much beyond that.

30 weeks this week…feels like a milestone!

30 weeks!! Crazy. 29 tomorrow for me. Joined this thread at 4 weeks I think, it’s gone pretty fast! How has the transition to the 3rd trimester been?

missmoosh · 02/07/2026 07:59

28 weeks today for me! Finally in the third trimester wooooo!

Only when it's really hot. Maybe pop round the triage to make sure everything is OK.
