Purlease Congratulations on your BFP, what wonderful news I'm also from the Due in November AN thread, but I post here too after a mc last year. This thread has been fantastic for support during my pregnancy, especially the worrying early weeks. Here's to a happy and uneventful pregnancy for you!
Jules Sorry to hear about GTT I agree with Daisy - have the wine! Home stretch now so hang in there - how many days have you got to go? You must be top of the list

Thanks Cricri, I'm sure in April, it was you recommended I come over here. Thanks for the support.
It's great to hear some good positive stories too.

perkypopsy · 26/06/2008 14:08

Hi Everyone, just had a quick read to check all well with my fellow knicker-checkers (though am more of a kick-checker these days ). Jules can't believe you are nearly there - think ALBS must be too? So exciting. Must do some work - don't seem to have time for anything these days - apart from spending day secretly looking forward to catching up with wimbledon on sofa in evening - BLISS
Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine

Bleeding this morning and a BFN. Looks like I read the 2 BFPs wrong last week or I've miscarried again

lackaDAISYcal · 27/06/2008 08:58

so so sorry purlease . It could have been a chemical pregnancy. Don't lose heart lovely and we'll see you back here soon

There are lots of lovely words of wisdom and comfort on the MC avengers thread in the conception section.

jules.....am very excited for you. First babies are so exciting and lovely

Will catch up with Tjuice's pics soon.....or tell her to pop in here and say hi so we can get a direct link to them.

Am off for the weekend; supposed to leave at 10 and still not tidied up in the house or fully packed...tumble drier has been smoking this morning! and I've got to go to the post office and get some cat litter as we have none and of course I'm still in my pyjamas as my jeans are still in the drier...having only limited selection of clothes to wear can be a right PITA....and the DCs have wrecked havoc on the livng room, but tough, it can stay like that till we get back on Monday

cricri · 27/06/2008 10:45

Purlease So sorry to hear your news As Daisy says, it could have been a CP. Would definitely recommend the MC Avengers thread and hope to see you back here again very soon. Look after yourself.
Jules Great news about diabetes test. It must be so exciting to be packing your hospital bag at last When do you go in?
Everything is fine here, thanks for asking. I'm feeling the baby's movements much more strongly now so that's good. Makes it more real somehow and I'm allowing myself to get excited about it all now.
Popsy Good to see you and I agree with Jules, you must pop in more often When do you start your mat leave?
Daisy Have a fab weekend. I'm always running around like mad before we go away - what is it going to be like when I have a DC to sort out too

purlease · 27/06/2008 17:22

Thanks Daisy and Cricri - sounds like CP. Ah well I'm sure DH will be happy to get into action again for next cycle. If I hadn't been so keen to test I would probably have never known - except boobs had been a bit tender.

On the bright side have a dinner party tonight which I was going to have to remain sober at - but now all I can say is bring on the wine!

supersteph · 28/06/2008 13:14

Hi all, to let you know my scan went well on thursday and I am 8 weeks 4 days today. I feel sick in the mornings mostly but my bb are really sore. Very happy now, Only 3 weeks and 3 days till I hit the 12 week mark. Can not wait. xx

cricri · 28/06/2008 20:33

Great news on your scan Supersteph Hopefully you can relax (well, a little) now and keep focusing on that photo until you get to your 12 week scan. I hope your sickness isn't too bad - I was so glad when my nausea stopped even though it was reassuring in a way. I got a bit fed up with eating plain rice and pasta though - ugh!

supersteph · 29/06/2008 15:14

Thanks cricri. How far are you know and when did your sicknes ease off? xx

supersteph · 29/06/2008 15:14

I mean now not know. Sorry.

cricri · 29/06/2008 19:07

Hi Supersteph I'm currently 22+1 (still can't believe that ) and my nausea started easing off at about 13 weeks. It was gradual and some of my food aversions have continued (I still cannot face broccoli or parsnips ). I tried everything to ease the nausea - acupuncture anti-sickness bands, eating ice lollies, eating small amounts frequently... Nothing really worked tbh although I was never actually sick and I was still able to get on with my daily life so I got off lighly compared with some. Hope you don't suffer too much either

kd73 · 30/06/2008 20:45

Purlease I am so sorry. Please rest lots and be kind to yourself.

Supersteph wonderful news re the scan

JustJules good luck - not long now!!!!!!!

Thanks to everyone who posted about "me" and apologies for not replying sooner. We got the information re the blood tests to accompany the nt scan and frankly neither my partner or I could see the benefit of it and suspect it would only muddy the waters further. Furthermore, having spent the last 4.5yrs ftc we couldn't envisage having a termination and have decided to wait until the 20wk scan.

tryingnottoobsess · 01/07/2008 12:54

hello knickercheckers,

Just wanted to pop by and say hi, and I hope you're all doing well.

jules, I keep thinking about you & missy... so soon now!

Hopefully I'll be back on this thread fairly soon fretting about my knickers, though we're waiting to ttc until after our r/c mc appointment at the end of this month. Had my first blood tests yesterday so it feels like stuff is happening...

good luck all!

supersteph · 01/07/2008 15:12

Hi all, I have had a really bad day today. acturly bin sick four diferent times this am. Just had some pasta that has stayed down!!!! When does the sickness start to ease off? I am glad I feel fine in the evenings as that is when I work. [sorry for moaning but makes me feel better.] xx

elibumbum · 02/07/2008 12:05

Hello everyone,

Hope you are all well.

supersteph glad to hear your scan went well. My symptoms seem to have got worse in the last week or so but I'm sure I've read that the peak around the 9 week mark - so hope that they will start to ease in a couple of weeks!

trying good to hear from you. Glad things are starting to happen and hope the time until your appt isn't dragging too much.
