Hi, just popped in to say Kasha had her baby on Monday, born at 31 weeks, a little boy. She announced it on the due in Sep thread, but I guess she'll be along herself at some point.

Sorry you're having some more stress Jules, hope your bp calms down - put your feet up and relax

Hope everyone else is OK

I'm 27+3 now, though baby bump not v obvious still - told someone today who couldn't believe it. Although I though it was noticeable now. Perhaps everyone still thinks I'm just podgy.

elibumbum · 02/07/2008 13:14

jules sorry to hear you are having a stressful time - hope your bp and swelling goes down soon.

Hi Everyone, have been reading through the posts and just realised have had to take notes so i remember who said what and when...pregnancy hormones definitely kicking in now

Loads been going on here - have waddled into the third trimester - DH has gone crazy painting rooms and generally trying to be super prepared while i am in a stage of putting my fingers in my ears and pretending not happening.

Went to visit some hospitals last weekend - BIG MISTAKE for too much information and weird rooms full of "tools". Going to not think about it until i can't ignore it any more... Jules need more info on hospital bag - tried shopping in mothercare last weekend (at DHs insistence) but we just stumbled around looking like f*ckwits, had a row and went home...how do you know all these things????? Hope BP has lowered - god you have really been through it haven't you but YOU ARE HAVING A BABY

splishy and Cricri HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII - are you both massive/hot/swollen/foggy like me - hmmmmm actually am sure your last post said not splishy - v v unfair - where are you hiding that baby????

cricri · 02/07/2008 16:32

Jules Sorry to hear about your latest difficulties but hope your bp is lower and that you won't need to be admitted. Not long to go now surely
Congratulations to Kasha and look forward to hearing all about it soon. Got me thinking that no way am I prepared for a baby to arrive at 31 weeks Not even sure I'm ready for he or she to arrive on my EDD - we've done nothing yet!
Popsy Good to "see" you Sorry to hear you're feeling so hot and swollen I'm not too bad - unlike Splish I do actually look pg, but I'm not massive. I'm also fortunate in that I work from home so at least I don't have to endure any travelling. I feel very tired all the time though - this pg business is exhausting!
Supersteph Hope you're feeling better today. Ms is horrible At least you've got some respite in the evenings, but still...
Trying Hope your blood test results are good and all the best for your appt later this month. Hope to see you back here very soon

downbutnotout · 02/07/2008 17:03

Hello all - have avoided posting on here as I am so scared of tempting fate, but you all seem so supportive I have plucked up the courage. I have one dd(4) and have had 3 mcs (all before 12 weeks) over three years of ttc. I am currently 10 weeks and very wobbly indeed, to be honest. I had some spotting at 9 weeks while I was on holiday abroad and made up my mind that it was happening again and did all my grieving, only for it to stop after a couple of days. I arranged another scan with the EPU when I got back to the UK (it is tomorrow morning) but now I am a basket case. Even the fact that I have rampant nausea has not convinced me that I'm not going to lose the baby and I'm so scared. Sorry - I just need to vent.

elibumbum · 02/07/2008 20:31

dbno welcome and congratulations on your pg. Sorry to hear that you had a bleed last week being pg after mc is stressful enough without the added terror of a bleed. Will keep my fingers crossed for your scan tomorrow. Good luck.

downbutnotout · 02/07/2008 20:59

Thanks - had a scan at seven weeks before my holiday and was shaking so much that I nearly fell off the couch . dh will be with me tomorrow (he couldn't make it last time) so will have support whatever the outcome.

kd73 · 02/07/2008 21:06

Good luck for tomorrow dbno hope it all goes well

cricri · 02/07/2008 21:30

dbno Just read your post and sorry to hear about your recent bleed, it must have been terrifying. However, there are many ladies on this thread who have had early bleeds and have gone on to have successful pregnancies so fingers crossed for you. Good luck for your scan tomorrow and let us know how you get on.

elibumbum · 03/07/2008 09:51

I was a nervous wreck before my 7 week scan - am already starting to fret about my nuchal scan later this month.

I remember going to my 20 week scan when I was pg with DS and not being remotely nervous - didn't cross my mind that there could be a problem. I don't think you can ever feel like that again after a mc.

cricri · 03/07/2008 10:53

You're right Elibumbum, mc does that to you. I've been petrified at all my scans during this pg. I'm hoping the 4D scan I've got booked in a few weeks' time is a more pleasant experience

downbutnotout · 03/07/2008 13:46

Thanks for your kind words - scan was fine! Heartbeat clearly there and right size for dates

I give it two days before I start knicker-checking again though...

LittleSquirt · 03/07/2008 15:18

Fantastic news!! So happy for you!

elibumbum · 03/07/2008 16:15

Wonderful news dbno !!!

cricri · 03/07/2008 16:33

Excellent news dbno Really please for you. Will you be having another scan at 12 weeks or is this it now?

perkypopsy · 03/07/2008 17:57

dbno Hooray for you! You are right - every scan is a nightmare after MCs - I paid for an extra scan at 13+5 cos I didn't dare believe the one at 11+4 could be right - she was looking at nuchal fold and I was saying - doesn't matter as long as is alive.

cricri I know what you mean - 31 weeks - bloody hell that would be three weeks time

downbutnotout · 03/07/2008 18:39

Yes, I still get my dating scan at 12 weeks plus nuchal fold measurement - so I can start obsessing about that now, of course. Still, every day is a day closer to meeting my baby.

Good wishes to all - now feel confident enough to look up my due date (Jan 28th) - when is everyone else due?

barbareebaa · 03/07/2008 19:04

Hi peeps!

jules sorry to read about the hic ups - are you very near to your due date? Take care of yourself.

Hi dbno So pleased your scan went well being pregnant (particularly after a mc) is so amazing but so completely terrifying.

Just wanted to tell that I had my 20 weeker on Tues and all is well (as far as could see) and we're having a little boy
Am a happy girl!!

x

kd73 · 03/07/2008 20:17

dbno & Barbareebaa wonderful news on your scans.

Justjules Hope you are well.... My next scan is beginning of August. Midwife appt today stressful, but went well in the end after the heartbeat was eventually found!!!!! Feels like one drama after another

barbareebaa · 03/07/2008 20:38

Hi Kd73

so sorry about your stressful appointment today.

How many weeks are you now? I'm sorry I've totally lost track. Only 4 weeks til your next scan though - hang on in there x

KashaSarrasin · 03/07/2008 21:59

Hi everyone

Hope you are all well, and thanks splishsplosh for letting everyone know DS2 arrived! Sorry I haven't posted for a while, to be honest my pregnancy was getting so complicated I didn't want to post on here and scare people earlier on in their pregnancies!

I had a few more bleeds over the last few weeks and have been in and out of hospital. I was having what I thought were BH contractions and went to get them checked out on Sunday, they turned into real contractions by 1pm Monday and DS arrived just before 6pm Monday, at 31 weeks exactly. I posted a short version of the birth story on the Sept thread here if you want to read it. It was quite scary, but he's doing well and is now out of intensive care but will be in the SCBU for a good while yet.

I'll post another update when I get a chance, and will be stalking this thread for more good news soon (jules are you up next??)! In the meantime, sticky vibes and peaceful pregnancies to everyone!

cricri · 04/07/2008 09:15

Kasha Good to "see" you and great to hear that DS2 is doing well Must have been so scary for you.
Barbareeba Great news on your scan I think the boys are outweighing the girls on the Due in November thread!
