maz32 the waiting is awful, just try to get through a day at a time. I bled for 2 weeks with ds1 before it settled, with my mcs it was obvious when I had passed the sac each time.

scotlass put your feet up, sounds like a good plan

ITLS good luck tomorrow, let us know when you're up to posting

daisy my ds2 was apparently breech at 37 weeks, they were planning a date for c/s and then did a quick scan "just to confirm", turned out to be head down - they had just been feeling his bony backside and thinking it was his head for weeks! It's not uncommon to be breech at 30 weeks so will hopefully turn soon for you.

rainrain you said you felt worrying didn't help with your previous mcs - how did you manage to relax - any tips please

natty my epu don't seem to measure hcg unless they think you might have an ectopic as "it doesn't alter what we do". They prefer serial scanning but means waiting 2 weeks (TWO weeks!) between scans.

I was hoping to have a scan on friday afternoon but routine scans mornings only so am going on monday. I don't think it will be a good result but as the days go by with no bleeding you can't help but get your hopes up. Has anyone else had reduction in nausea after 6 weeks with a positive outcome? It hasn't entirely gone but is nowhere near as strong as was with ds1 and ds2 at this stage.

tsom · 26/08/2008 20:55

going to watch "mutual friends" now as a distraction

oops not sure what happened there. thanks for the welcome. it's comforting to be around people who are going through the same thing.

mm1509 · 26/08/2008 22:20

Welcome aquababe, I'm still a bit on a newbie here as well but as you will find out everyone is very supportive, we've all been there before I suppose.
Nerves starting to get to me now, one minute I feel quite positive and the next start worrying again. Counting the days till my scan on Friday, hopefully that can put me at ease.
This stage is sooooo long!!!!!
Maz32 - what a horrible time you are having, I so hope like scotlass says the bleeding won't affect the baby and hopefully we can have another positive outcome.
Sending positive vibes to all of us we are feeling nervous at the moment and of course to Maz32.

mm1509 · 26/08/2008 22:23

Sorry that was supposed to be "who" are feeling nervous.

cricri · 27/08/2008 06:57

Aquababe Congratulations on your BFP and welcome It's always nice to see ladies from the MC Avengers thread over here. The early days are worrying as you know, especially if you've been reading this thread in recent days, but we're all here to support you and get you through. It does get a bit easier I promise, although each stage of pg brings its own worries.
ILTS Good luck for today Look forward to your good news as soon as you feel up to posting!
Popsy Good to see you I'm also working until 2 weeks before EDD but I work from home so at least I don't have to commute. How were the NCT classes? Ours start this Sunday - it's going to make the whole giving birth thing all the more real Had my first dream about going into labour last night which was horrible - I couldn't get hold of my doula, the birthing pool hadn't arrived... Couldn't get back to sleep after that!
Hope everybody else is OK

ronshar · 27/08/2008 09:59

Scotslass. Fabulous news for you. I am so happy that your little bean is hanging on.

Aquababe. What a great addition to our merry band. It is always fantastic when MC Avengers make it over the fence.

Daisy, I saw midwife yesterday, 34 week check. OMG 34 weeks! I asked her to double check baby for me as I was convinced I was breech. She assured me that baby head down but still free! She did scare me somewhat when she said baby could still turn around up until delivery. It isnt unusual for breech babies to turn on way in to birth canal. Apparently alot of units with let a multip mum try to deliver a breech naturally!
I am hoping for home birth so I am worried baby will turn again and force me into hospital

ILTS, a bit late but I hope you are ok today and baby arrives without any problems and not too much tearing.

Welcome to all the other newly pregnant ladies. Congratulations and I hope your stay is a long one.

EasyRider · 27/08/2008 10:11

GOOD LUCK ilts one push and she will be out

aqua hello old friend, great to see you here

34 weeks ronny bloody hell!!! you are having a baby

hello to everyone else,

Tis me, old timer, with a new name

back in the saddle so to speak

ronshar · 27/08/2008 10:44

Right I demand to know who you are. I am rubbish at working it out for myself.
I recognise your style.

I take it congratulations are in order. How many weeks etc. Come on spill the news

calsworld · 27/08/2008 10:47

Hello everybody, can I pop in for some support today? Ronshar has kindly posted on my thread here and invited me over.

Am a bit scared as to what's going on and weepy, although I think alot of it is down to being very tired, I just can't seem to quite manage to drop off.

I don't want to go to the toilet anymore.

LackaDAISYcal · 27/08/2008 10:55

I know who it is ronny

calsworld, have just had a quick scan of your thread and am sorry to hear you are going through this . like others have said there can be many reasons for pregnancy and not all of them sinister ones so try and stay positive until you have had the scan tomorrow. Although, if the bleeding is getting worse I would call someone today; the community MW would know whether you need A&E or the EPU if there is one at your local maternity hospital. Meanwhile we are here for you if you need the support

i missed ilts post about going in for an induction....good luck lovely; you'll have that baby very soon

calsworld · 27/08/2008 11:02

Thanks, bleeding is not getting any worse, i don't think, but its not getting any better either. Its getting more clotty...I guess that's a bad sign?

dan39 · 27/08/2008 12:22

I won.t get anything done today checking in for news from ilts!

Bleeding is so scary calsworld, but you also never know. I had lots at 7 weeks including chopped liver type (sorry) clots and it was a fairly common haemmorage (?SP?) on the womb wall which didn't affect bean, but I was told would continue and cause cramps etc which is NOT what you want to hear at that stage whether after mc or not...Good luck with the scan, see what they find.

Am now 17 weeks tho demoted back to 16 yest at antenatal appt...

(Hello Supersteph me too on the big tum from nowhere front!!)

I have changed hospital and hence Trust as have moved, old one goes by scan dates and the other by my AF date - with 6 days difference!! I was perturbed as I am wishing my life away with this preg thinking that the further I get the safer I am. Still scared by every stage tho.

calsworld · 27/08/2008 12:54

dan39, thanks for your reassurance...I didn't know that it could be anything other than foregone conclusion with cramps as well, everywhere seems to say bleeding is OK unless accompanied by pain.

I'm not rolling around in agony or anything and its not there constantly, but its definitley worse if I need to go to the loo for anything other than a wee.

I've slept for a couple of hours and think I'll perhaps attempt a shower as I feel dirty. I guess I also need to eat something as I haven't had anything at all yet today.

dan39 · 27/08/2008 15:27

If you want to look it up its called an extra chorionic haemmmorage - the leaflet I got called it a 'common problem in early pregnancy'. Its funny really as I had had a mmc before, which is silent, no blood and continued symptoms, so knicker checking doesn't work for me - I almost (but not quite) envy everyone else on the lookout for blood....my fear is scan related as I quite simply believe every time that it will be dead.

Anyway - off to GP surgery now with a bottle of warm wee in my pocket! Hoping water infection from last week has cleared properly.

maz32 · 27/08/2008 17:10

dan39 can i be nosey and ask how long u bled for, im just wait for my scan to see wots wot but am not hopeful as had lots of bleeding but has been 2weeks tomorrow since it started.xx

ronshar · 27/08/2008 21:49

Daisy how can you know and not tell. That is so unfair. [stamping foot]

Good luck for those with scans tomorrow and for those who are waiting. Fingers crossed.

EasyRider · 27/08/2008 22:32

ronny it is only me

winemakesmummyclever · 27/08/2008 22:46

calsworld, tsom & maz - so sorry that you having such a bad time. As others have said, bleeding is not always a mc, but that will not stop the fear and worry that you are going through right now.

I appreciate that the waiting and not knowing is the worst thing at the moment. I was extremely lucky (if you can ever use that word in ref to mc) that I was seen within an hour of bleeding starting, so didn't have to go through that particular agony.

I hope that you have people around you that can support you and help you through this. Plus, there are alway people on here you can vent to whenever you feel the need. Hope that others going through this kind of thing are being supported in RL too (how are things with you scotlass?).

Rest up if you can, try not to worry too much, try to stay as positive as possible and lean on those around you. Sending you all positive vibes for sticky little beans and hope that all goes well for you.
