iliketosleep · 20/08/2008 11:52

Hello hello hello

Well I didn't get a sweep

but have a MW coming on Saturday morning to give me one so better than nothing I suppose.

Also If nothing has happened by next wednesday () I am to be induced!

She is still only 3/5ths engaged so for all the pressure I've been feeling she must be wearing a hard hat made of lead

iliketosleep · 20/08/2008 11:54

Hi Winemakesmummyclever weren't we both on march ante natal thread or am i thinking of MC avengers cake thread??

iliketosleep · 20/08/2008 11:55

Oh and PMSL at Splishsplosh's battered sausage suggestion, depends what I do with it I suppose

I'm tired i'm allowed to be crude

scotlass · 20/08/2008 12:04

Hello everyone. I've escaped from the duvet - I've been rather attached to it over the past 4 days.

My goodness what a roller coaster of emotion this thread is. I've cried and laughed over the past few minutes reading through it for a catch up.

Mollie I'm so so sorry for you and your DH. I wish I could take away some of the pain but as we all know on here nothing anyone says helps so please take care of yourself and know your in my thoughts.

At the other end of the scale
TS CONGRATS!!!!!!!!! Reese is a beautiful name and yay to more newborn smell to sniff >>>>>>>

ILTS you still here?

tsom dan39 daisyj and everyone else hang in there girls. I bet if knicker checking was an olympic sport I'd be wearing a gold medal.

Well I'm still here, tried to phone EPU on Monday as don't bother going through GP 4th time round - the midwife might even give me her mobile at this rate. They were engaged and I know they're dead busy so phoned in sick and had a duvet day/ cried at the cycling - have you seen the size of Chris Hoys thighs!!!!!. Pain subsided and felt a bit better so went into work on Tuesday. Took one look at my desk/workload and stress levels of my colleagues and thought sod this I can't handle it so left after an hour and phoned EPU. Promptly burst into tears when heard the lovely midwives voice and she said come on up in the afternoon cos she could spend some time with me. Long and short scan showed a yolk sac, white blob thing which she assures me is the start of the baby and it's not ectopic PHEW. No sign of bleeding and she says it's in the right area so fingers crossed my DD's going to get a sibling after 10yrs and 3 false starts. I'm only 6wks today so trying not to get carried away but seriously think I'll give up if this goes wrong. Told DH on the phone last night so that's helped and we go back for another scan next Thursday so send me positive thtoughts for a heart beat. Feel a bit guilty going to stay off work for a couple of weeks but tried the working on thing the last 3 times so trying this now.

cricri · 20/08/2008 12:24

Scotlass Glad you were able to have a scan and that it went well. It is very early days yet, but the mw sounds very positive which is good news. Fingers crossed you see a hb next week. Try not to worry about work - it is more important that you try to relax for your baby. As you say, you've tried to work through on previous occasions so this time it's good that you're putting yourself and the baby first. Sticky thoughts for you
Winemakesmummyclever Weren't you on the Due in March 2008 AN thread with me? So many of us suffered mcs on that thread Congratulations on your latest pg and a successful scan at 11 weeks. The worrying doesn't ever stop but hopefully will ease somewhat and we're here to keep you sane. As you say, it's what mc does to you.
Splish Sorry to hear you're having a difficult time of it at the moment Hope all your appts go well this week.
ILTS Keeping my fingers crossed that the sweep on Saturday works and that you don't need to be induced...
Hello to everybody else

ronshar · 20/08/2008 12:32

TWILIGHTSURFER Yipeeeeeeeeeeeee for you and your baby girl. I love the name. I am getting a theme here. We are all going to have baby girls called Eleanor. No problems as it is a beautiful name. Lets hope all is well for you and you come and give us all the gory details very soon. Well done love.

Scotlass that is the most fantastic news for you and your family. I am stuck between crossing fingers for you and not crossing anything to try and help ILTS get her little one out

Welcome to WMMC and Daisyj. Thank you for remembering me Daisy. I have always taken the line that even small words of comfort can help when we feel so alone after MC. You will never feel alone on here. We are all mad in our little ways. Look at Jules she cant keep away.

Are you still here ILTS?

smilesattheweekend · 20/08/2008 13:54

Well done Twilightsurfer!!

Hugs to everyone else.

Jules thanks for asking, I am fine, have very fidgety legs (aka restless legs) even just sat at my desk they are driving me mad - had the same with DS. Wish I was finishing work soon and could laze around but will be going til end sept. DH starts school in a couple of weeks - bless!

Baby isn't moving much today, just feel the odd "tickle" but nothing major, she wore me out last night doing the lambada me thinks! have a heart monitor thingy at home so will have a listen later. SPD and sciatica at the mo - have been having physio, it is working well if I remember to get up and move about lots - I get engrossed in stuff and forget!

Am getting at people on public transport, have been getting on tram to go home and having to stand all the way for 1/2 hour whilst sodding numpties try to look the other way, my Dad (god rest his soul) would turn in his grave at the lack of courtiousness (spelling?), am 6 and a half months pg for christs sake!!! I wouldn't mind if they had no legs or looked ill but I would at least offer my seat to a lady that looked like a weeble!! Sorry for rant, it's the fabulous pg symptons that are making me crazy.

Good luck to those who are just about to let their babies fall out.

X

Smiles

ronshar · 20/08/2008 14:26

Smiles, maybe you could stand on thier toes accidentally on purpose with all your wieght and then act really when they say something. That should get thier attention. Or say very loudly "it would be lovely to sit down I think my waters are brwaking".
Selfish buggers. I wouldnt stand for it.
Get it. He He.

iliketosleep · 20/08/2008 14:29

No, I am a figment of your fucking imagination now piss off and leave me alone

I thought I remembered WMMC from march AN too although wasn't sure if it was that or MC avengers with all the cake and battered sausage

I'm really sore at the bottom of my belly as the midwife...

A) pressed her finger so hard into my pubic bone when doing the fundal measurement (Ouch )

And

B) Took hold of babies head and gave it a really big shake to see where it was (double ouch )

AND IM TIRED!!!!!!!!!

Lol I really need to stop feeling sorry for myself dont I??

scotlass · 20/08/2008 14:35

No you definately have permission to feel sorry for yourself on here! Now get yourself a curry for your dinner, go up and down your stairs a couple of times and have some lovely time with your DH for the natural prostaglandins to do their bit and then we'll be celebrating the arrival of ILTS junior.

smiles I found rubbing my belly and taking a sharp intake of breath used to help when I needed to sit down in public - no one wants their shoes ruined by a womans leaking waters

If you can't feel sorry for yourself at this stage of the proceedings, when can you ILTS?

Can't believe she wouldn't do a sweep today though

Can DP do a "sweep" tonight or are you not speaking to him after the snoring?

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 20/08/2008 14:38

jules

I wanted to say it, but couldn't bring myself to, lol.

ooh, my lovely, lovely, underappreciated DH sent me not one, but three bunches of flowers today . One from him and a wee spray from each of the DCs to say he hopes I'm feeling less miserable and in pain soon and because he knows how disappointed I am in not being able to go to London today. what a lovely lovely DH he is

either that or he wants a blow job and thinks this will sweeten me up

Lcy · 20/08/2008 14:45

Hello - just popping in to say hello and to say to ILTS - I UNDERSTAND!!!

Unbelievably I am also still waiting for my baby and i am now 10 days over due!!!! Head is also only 3/5ths engaged and no sign of any contractions. Due to be induced on Sunday.Every time i walk down my street people ask me if i have had it yet. Feel like shouting "yes I just decided to stuff a huge pillow up my top and leave my newborn baby at home by itself". Then the advice starts - "have you tried walking, sex, blah blah blah". I no longer answer the phone and have my mobile turned off.

Anyway - heavily pregnant rant over .

JustJules - how is your beautiful baby?
Daisy - how are you finding your pregnancy?
WMMC- hello so glad things are going well for you. The anniversary of my mc was on Saturday - i will be thinking of you x
Ronshar, cricri and everyone else - hello x

goingfor3 · 20/08/2008 14:48

Huge congratulations twilightsurfer. Really happy for you.

LackaDAISYcal · 20/08/2008 14:54

hi Lcy...fingers crossed things get going for you before Saturday

All is going well, apart from some pulled muscles and strained ligaments (from fighting with a cranky crappy cheapo pushchair for two days), nasty sacro-iliac joint pain, the beginnings of SPD and a mystery burning pain that may or may not be down to ligaments....and getting fed up with people telling me how huge I am and that I'll be enormous by the time the baby arrives .

(I'm not that huge; it's just I'm all out front and carrying very high)

OP posts:
Lcy · 20/08/2008 15:01

I love it how people feel it is ok to comment on your size when you are pregnant. A male neighbour of mine said to me "oh my god you are huge are you sure its not triplets" - felt like saying atleast mine will come off after birth mate .

ronshar · 20/08/2008 15:02

LCY. I was just reading your other thread.
I was over with both DD's. It is rubbish really rubbish. People stopped phoning etc when I eventually replied Can your hear a baby? Have I sent you a message with time weight, sex? No so stop F*ing asking then. Great excuse to be rude when pregnant.
Dont panic induction doesnt have to mean anything other than a jump start which sometimes is all you need to get going. I was induced with DD1. She arrived 6lb 13oz so no ryhme or reason for late arrival.
Good luck love.

Is anyone else getting lower pelvic pain with back ache? I seem to be getting sharp pains across the front of pelvis/abdo very low down. Having had two labours I am not to concerned it is early labour but still not sure what it is! I drink plenty and not prone to UTIs so am unsure!!!
Sorry I mean those who are 30 weeks+, I dont mean to exclude anyone else but dont want to worry those at 6weeks etc. Could be just my shite muscles moaning about over stretching

ronshar · 20/08/2008 15:03

Bugger x post with you both. Is it the same pain Daisy?

LackaDAISYcal · 20/08/2008 15:16

SPD pain feels like someone is punching you, hard, in the pubic bone and is worse going up and down stairs and getting in and out of the car and the bath. sacro-iliac is a niggly pain right in the area of the wee dimple at the top of your buttocks (or big dimple in my case )

lower pelvic pain in conjunction with back pain could be a UTI ronny. try drinking lots of cranberry juice to see if it clears, but maybe worth getting a sample along to your GP to be on the safe side

how many weeks to go now for you?

OP posts:
ronshar · 20/08/2008 15:20

33+3. I have midwife next Tues so will see how I get on. I do have probs with my back normally but I have been really lucky this time round. But it is this new sharp pain that I was wondering about. It kind of crosses over the front of my bump. Kinda where a C-setion scar is. If I had one that is. The baby is all over the place still so it could be just jumping in and out of my pelvis.
I am going to jump baby all over the place when it eventually makes an appearance. Get my own back a little.

LackaDAISYcal · 20/08/2008 15:22

just remember that untreated infections can cause you to go into labour early! I would call your MW and arrange for a sample to go in just to be on the safe side. My UTI early on was just how you described and I thought I was having another MC. 2litres of cranberry juice and a gallon of water later I'd banished it away.

OP posts:
ronshar · 20/08/2008 15:29

Ok doctor Daisy I shall stop off and get some juice.

LackaDAISYcal · 20/08/2008 15:30

and make sure you take it easy

OP posts:
cricri · 20/08/2008 17:01

Lcy Hi Sorry to hear you're still waiting for your LO to put in an appearance.
Ronshar and Daisy Sorry to hear about all your pains. Not good
I've had a couple of comments from people today - one chap at the gym said "I thought you were putting on weight, now I know the reason why!" So if I hadn't been pg you would have just thought I was fat then Then the lady on the checkout asked me how long I had to go and when I said 2 and a half months she looked very surprised I don't think I'm that big - like Daisy it's all out in front and I can still paint my toenails!
Smiles So glad I don't commute anymore and don't have to put up with insensitive fellow passengers anymore. I'd definitely try some of the suggestions posted on here
