Do you think that would work? Or would it be safe? I have considered it!!

daisyj · 19/08/2008 13:36

Hi everyone. Can I join you? I'm feeling just terrified right now. After mc in March at 11 weeks, I am now 8+3 and having an early scan tomorrow - feel sick just thinking about it, even though I know I couldn't have waited another 4 weeks. I know that no one can tell me for sure that it's going to be OK, but this seems like the best place to let off a bit of steam . Don't want to whinge about being pg on the ttc threads I've been on in the past few months, iykwim, so thought I'd better find somewhere else to freak out!

Also, I see ronshar is here You were fab on the October thread after my mc - can't believe it's 33 weeks already for you - that's wonderful .

daisyj · 19/08/2008 13:37

Oh, mollie - I just saw. So very, very sorry . Take care of yourself.

dan39 · 19/08/2008 17:12

Mollie I am so sorry, as all here have said there are no words to help but sending hugs and really hoping to see you again soon. Love to you and DH, do what it takes to get you through.
Ronshar that you for telling me I am not mad cos I am crying...I cry when anyone wins anything at the olympics so I am glad not to be alone!
Got really bad cystitis, went to see lovely new female doc, cried, (of course) and she offered to do the hb thing - what a nice woman! And she said if I want to come back every week I can...I am 16 weeks tomorrow so I thought that was a bit of a daft offer on her part as she may never get rid of me...The hb was lovely of course and cheeered me up as I am miserable and fighting with DH. I need to apologise that I am hormonal, and he needs to realise that I am hormonal and apologise for...well, eveything really.
daisyj good luck and don't panic and everything crossed for your scan tomorrow - sticky thoughts to you!

TwilightSurfer · 19/08/2008 19:19

Reese Eleanor arrived 18AUG following emCS coming in at 8lbs and 9oz. Pretty darn good for having been pregnant for 50 WEEKS (pregnant/miscarried/pregnant again 17 days later)!

elibumbum · 19/08/2008 19:22

Welcome daisyj - Good luck at your scan tomorrow. I hope it goes well and lets you relax a little (I know that is easier said than done!). I get v anxious and scared before my scans in this pg too - side effect of pg after mc.

dan39 your doc sounds lovely.

LackaDAISYcal · 19/08/2008 19:28

Congratulations TS and welcome to the world Reese Eleanor . I hope you are recovering well and not overdoing things. You're surely not home already though

Mollie, so sorry for your loss and wish you every success in the future. I have every faith that you will be joining this thread again soon. My DH was affected by my second mc far more than the first; I think like a lot of people (me included) he didn't think it would happen again. WE got through it though and DD is now a 14mo bundle of endless energy. Take Care of yourself and I hope we'll see you soon {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}

This thread can be so bittersweet at times

TS Well done!!! Welcome to Reese Eleanor. Gory details at some point please!
ILTS come on then get on with it....are you still here??

cricri · 19/08/2008 20:31

Congratulations TS and welcome Reese Eleanor Hope you're both OK and look forward to seeing some pics soon
Daisyj Welcome and good luck for your scan tomorrow. As Elibumbum said hopefully you can relax a bit afterwards although I agree it is easier said than done. Hope you get a photo and look forward to hearing how it went.
Dan Glad your doctor was so understanding. Do take her up on her offer if it helps and hope the cystitis clears up soon - I've had my fair share of UTIs in my life and they're horrible

dan39 · 19/08/2008 20:37

Thank you Cricri I am drinking water and weeing like there is no tomorrow...actually I am a bit concerned about tomorrow as I dunno how I will cope at work with going anywhere that is not near a loo! I drive around lots so will have to time all my wee breaks.

The doctor was so lovely and I think I will take her up on her offer. Get my NHS moneys worth!!

tsom · 19/08/2008 20:45

mollie so sad to hear your news, take care of yourself

scotlass hope your pain has settled - did you have any luck getting seen earlier at the epu? I have had some right sided aches on and off for the past few days but seems to have gone now. Yesterday I was in tears as hadn't felt sick all day and convinced heading for another mmc, today I have felt sick nearly all day and fell asleep in the tate modern. Feel confused...not planning a scan date yet...wish I could just stay under the duvet for the next few weeks

TS congrats, hope you and babe are doing well

elibumbum · 19/08/2008 21:00

TS congratulations and well done. Hope you have a swift recovery from the CS. Welcome little Reese Eleanor .

elibumbum · 19/08/2008 21:13

dan39 ouch - why don't you take the day off sick and stay near your loo (downing pints of cranberry juice!). Hope it clears up soon.

iliketosleep · 20/08/2008 00:11

iliketosleep · 20/08/2008 00:11

I'm bored

splishsplosh · 20/08/2008 09:19

Mollie - so sorry to hear your news

TS - congratulations, and welcome to the world Reese Eleanor

ILTS - good luck, really hope it's not long now. Have you tried battered sausage??

I'm 34+3 today - started being sick every now and again a few weeks back, especially if i cough - was throwing up in the toilet this morning, and dd came to put her arm round me (though she did tell me several times that spitting is not nice )

I've got a fun packed few days ahead - first consultant appointment at Kings this afternoon after having my care transferred there, appointment at St Georges tomorrow re my heart, and physio on Friday for my rib pain

elibumbum · 20/08/2008 09:37

splishsplosh you are going to be busy with all those appts! I'd be really interested to hear how physio can help rib pain? I got it in the last trimester when pg with ds but I'm already starting to get a bit now(only 16wks!).

winemakesmummyclever · 20/08/2008 10:29

Hi, can I join you?

I had a mmc nearly a year ago. The first scan said it was @ 9w, my dates said it was @ 11w, and the reg who did the ERPC said it was more like 14w. The "anniversary" is on BH Monday and I can't even drown my sorrows (have found that they float anyway ). I am now 13w pg and as I will be 14w next week, I am bobbing myself right now and most definitely fulfil the criteria for an obssessive knicker checker! Had a scan at 11w that showed everything was ok, but I don't take anything for granted anymore.

A wee bit about me - am a SAHM & pt student. Married to dh for 3 years tomorrow and we have a gorgeous ds who is 28m and own the laziest dog in the world. Never seem to be able to get myself as organised as I would like and try to avoid housework whenever I can. Generally, I am a laid back and lazy old bint .

Hopefully things will go ok this time around, and I will be able to stay on top of my uni work and juggle home & family too. I figure that it will be easier to do this year pg (and miss a bit of spring term when lo arrives) rather than defer the year. I am counting on MNetters to help to keep me sane - well, as close as I could ever get to it

Good luck to everyone here!
