It'll soon be back to normal and I swear the breastfeeding helped get me back into my prepg jeans sooner. I was in my 20's then though, think it might be harder in the 30's or even 40's at this rate.

I want big boobs and and a huge mum tum.

kate2179 · 11/08/2008 21:32

Thanks Jules! Just posted on your birth announcement thread! (Birth announcement thread - doesn't that have a lovely ring to it!)

kate2179 · 11/08/2008 21:33

iliketosleep · 11/08/2008 22:49

Twilight is on the august AN thread, as far as i know shes been in labour for about 3 weeks the poor woman

Jules Your birth announcment! I'm so glad everything has worked out for you! You had a pig of a pregnancy and birth but got the best present out of it!! Now, when are we planning number 2?? hehehe You enjoy her while shes tiny as it wont be long before shes arguing the toss with you, slamming doors, playing loud music.......
(if you end up with a teenage 8 year old like me )
Dont know if you saw my message before but hows your sister?

Have been trying to think of ways to get this baby out but cant seem to find one that suits...

Curry-NO!! Pineapple-Not overly keen TBH (Im a fussy eater)
Sex-Nope, pelvic girdle is making my life hell......
Walking-Nope, pelvic girdle is making my life hell......
Nipple stim-been doing that for weeks!

I'm all outta ideas that arent going to hurt like crap or make me sick

TwilightSurfer · 12/08/2008 00:43

{{{WAVES}}}Hi Kate. Still here waiting on the baby to fall out. ILTS wasn't fooling...I've been in early labour for three whole weeks now. The baby engaged early and started dropping thus causing loads of contractions that as of yet haven't gotten me to active labour YET!! Fingers crossed it will only be a few more days (minutes). Today I am 39+3 and ready to see my little one's smile....whenever she's ready to come out, of course.

Hope all is going well with you.

MollieMooma · 12/08/2008 09:24

Hi, welcome and congrats to the newbies

Jules Fantastic birth story, sounds very emotional and traumatic but well worth it in the end
kate Good luck with your tests today x
GrinningBee Congratulations for your scan, really pleased you got to see and have photo's of your "jellybean" it's a wonderful feeling isn't it?
TeeHee Good luck for Friday
Bunny Good Luck for Thursday, no I haven't been signed off, didn't go to GP, I'd already booked a few days off as my EDD for m/c is tomorrow and I thought I might need some time from work, so been off since Friday and going back tomorrow. MS is beter, just sick at night, not so much in the day, still wearing my travel sick bands with pride!
ILTS Come on what you waiting for

iliketosleep · 12/08/2008 09:31

Well I was lying in bed last night and got the most crampiest tightest pain in my gut that made me go "ow ow ow ow ow" It was then followed by a monster fart and immediate relief

Hips dont feel too bad today so may attempt going for a walk

smilesattheweekend · 12/08/2008 09:54

Thanks Jules. I have a scan tomorrow and will be seeing the consultant from the recurrent MC clinic - I think they want me to stop taking the drugs at about 34 weeks. I am sure they will keep an eye on me pretty well until baby comes.

Grinningbee - good news on the scan!!

Hello to everyone else.

X

Smiles

cricri · 12/08/2008 18:18

Grinningbee Great news on your scan I treasured that first picture and kept looking at it all the time. Helped keep me positive when I had a few wobbles.
Smiles Good luck for your scan tomorrow. It will be lovely to see your baby again
Teehee and Bunny good luck for your scans later this week
Scotlass Congratulations on your BFP Hope your stay with us is a long and uneventful one. Sending lots of positive vibes your way.
Twilightsurfer and ILTS Hope those babies come soon for you both
Jules Just off to read your birth announcement now...
Hi to everyone else!

TwilightSurfer · 12/08/2008 18:20

ILTS.....ditto on that pain & it's outcome. You get all hopeful then . LOL Pregnancy is such a glamorous dream.

grinningbee · 12/08/2008 18:40

Thanks everyone

The funny thing with the scan picture is that it is just an unidentifiable blob. They put a couple of x's either side of it so you know where to look.... lol. Am I allowed to start counting down to the 12 week one now??? Heehee. I'd like to think I'll be able to identify it as human by then.

Hope things start moving along swiftly for both of you Twighlight and ILTS.

iliketosleep · 12/08/2008 21:19

He he he, mental note to self, dont post before the first cup of tea of the day!!

Still nothing happening yet, I think being the gentleman that i am, i am waiting for TS to go first

I know i wont be yet anyway as

A) I have no energy, usually have a sudden burst before I go into labour.

B) Its DD2s birthday party (family gathering) on Saturday, sods law will be then! Failing that...

C) DD2s birthday on Monday, sods law it will be then! lol

Actually not got anything from dds (chelsea will be 7 on monday, sians 8)

Come to think of it, not got anything from Jamie either! I started afresh and didnt even realise

I moved house 3 and a half years ago and wasn't banking on anymore DC so threw/gave away all baby stuff.

I will never be ready for the birth

TwilightSurfer · 12/08/2008 22:19

OH I AM READY! THIS BABY NEEDS TO HURRY UP AND GET OUT!!!!!!

Ladies all that worrying you're doing now about the baby hanging in there from week 5 to week 12 to week 20 to week 28..... By week 39 you are READY READY READY to get things moving.

ILTS sods law does have a way with things but hopefully not in your case. But I will be happy to go first.

iliketosleep · 13/08/2008 00:03

Well if all else fails, its a full moon on saturday

Squarebear1973 · 13/08/2008 14:00

18+3 - twinges in groin, just above hips & just below belly button. Anyone had similar? Should I call midwife? Think felt flutterings since wk17, but books etc. say won't feel until 20 with first, but after 4xmc, surely you're MUCH more aware of this stuff? Feels like wind but isn't wind....
Hope everyones fine as not been on for a while
Anomoly scan (I hate that word!) next Wednesday

iliketosleep · 13/08/2008 15:37

twinges could be braxton hicks contractions (practise contractions) and you can feel baby at anytime. Books are just a guideline, every PG is different

HTH

iliketosleep · 13/08/2008 22:37

Well my prediction for the 13th was wrong wasn't it

Crappity crap crap crap

tsom · 14/08/2008 08:26

GB congrats on scan
teehee and bun good luck this week

I am supposedly 6+5 today but had some sharp cramps on monday followed by no nausea yesterday and worse today have drunk a cup of tea - didn't taste right before. Am fearing the worst, had planned not to have an early scan after last time and didn't want to ruin my holiday but am now in sussex, miles from my epu and stressed ++. My mum keeps asking me if I feel sick again yet, my dh back up north thinks I'm mad to worry as no bleeding yet. However last 2 were mmc so no bleeding doesn't mean its all ok.

Feels like groundhog day...

Kezza7779 · 14/08/2008 08:57

Morning all,
i have come in to send you all positive vibes...
i joined this thread 8 months ago after 2 MC, one was a blighted ovum - both at 9 weeks. well after 2 further years of ttc - we did it, i spent the next 5 months knicker checking and worrying myself stupid. following that after finally believing i was pregnant ive spent the next 4 months worrying about if the baby wil be ok.
Im now 40 weeks pregnant - yey!!! and waiting for the little blighter to come out.

I just wanted to say that i know nothing i say will stop you worrying, especialy for those who have had mc's and/or found it difficult to conceive but where there is light there is hope - for all of us and i wish every single one of you the best of luck with your pregnancies and futures.

Ker x

kate2179 · 14/08/2008 16:24

Not posting on here much atm, but still lurking and couldn't let tsom's post go unanswered. Tsom how about getting a private scan in sussex? Whereabouts are you? With my last pg (which was ultimately a mc) I managed to get a scan at St Richard's in Chichester even though I wasn't under them. It sounds like you aren't going to be able to enjoy your holiday until you know either way what's happening anyway, and hopefully a scan at this stage will give you the reassurance you need . Try not to read too much into disappearing symptoms (easier said than done I know), it doesn't necessarily mean the worst. Unfortunately, as all of us who have had a mmc know, the only way to tell for sure is to have a scan, so if you can afford it, get on and book one woman! I'm pretty sure there are some private places near Chichester, but if you're over the other side of the county there are bound to be some there too. Good luck, whatever you decide! Will be thinking of you, and there's always someone here if you need a rant!
