Oh and meant to say 9 weeks today, dating scan is booked for Monday 18th, really hoping I can relax a tiny bit after that, before I start worrying about nuchal scans etc! If worrying was an Olympic sport do you think we could all be Team GB?

eejaykay · 08/08/2008 12:09

Yep, I think I just got a silver medal for worrying! Just had 12 week scan, almost convinced there was nothing going on - and all is well. Phew! Time to relax a bit, until the next bout of irrational fears, anyway.

Fingers crossed your scan comes round soon, MollieMooma

cricri · 08/08/2008 12:39

Welcome to all the newbies and congratulations on your pregnancies
Eejaykay Congratulations on a successful scan Now you can relax a little and start to enjoy your pregnancy and hopefully you may soon start to feel some movements which will help (well, it did for me anyway )
Hello to everybody else!

iliketosleep · 09/08/2008 14:46

Tiz very quiet here lately isn't it

Only 8 days till B-Day for me

How is everyone?? xx

grinningbee · 09/08/2008 16:01

It is very quiet!

In fact ILTS I wondered if you had something to keep you occupied at the mo, but I guess not yet! Did you manage to go out for some retail therapy?

I'm counting down to the scan on Monday afternoon. I can't imagine how nervous I'll feel by then. After going for a couple of days my constant icky feeling is back (but that's good!) and my boobs are killing me! Especially at night for some reason...

I feel a lot more positive at the moment, but I'm still worried they'll say there's nothing there!

iliketosleep · 09/08/2008 16:37

I did It was good to get away from the kids for a couple of hours lol

Monday, I bet your counting down the seconds!!!

iliketosleep · 11/08/2008 11:24

6 days in counting and not so much as a sodding twinge as yet

Where is everyone??????????????

dan39 · 11/08/2008 11:45

Hello all, I have been on hol for a week and am now back with a bigger tum - I am 14+5 and spent most of the week away wondering (ok - obsessing) about whether still pg or not...my tummy felt big and hard some days and other days not. But I think it is there. Sometimes. Then I think it isn't...I discovered that ice cold water was fab for nausea (yes I still have it but it brings me no peace as had nausea right thru mmc so I don't trust it) and I am addicted to it now, which is no bad thing - but depressed about the fact that my freezer at home is in the cellar...ie too far away!
Feedmenow our dates are the same...will be listening/watching out for your progress...it feels funny not to be the 'newest' on here. Welcome to all the new people, good luck with early worries/early scans/early bleeds etc...you are all in marvellous company if worrying is your thing - someone suggested we could be the GB olympic worrying team...indeed!
supersteph you are also similar in stage to me, how are things?
One nice thing about coming home is that dh missed me, noticed my bigger/harder belly, and has bought me fresh milk and iron rich stuff as he thinks it will be good for me - ahh.

smilesattheweekend · 11/08/2008 12:15

Afternoon ladies!

Hope everyone is well. I had my early scan this afternoon at Queens Medical Centre. It was a little sad as the last time I was there was for the mmc.

I even saw the same lady as before, and she remembered us which was nice. I managed to get away without having to have the "wand" this time which was good. I thought they'd have to due to the layers of chocolate between the ultrasound and the bean... lol.

Anyway! I'm having a jellybean!!! At least, that's what it looked like to me. It was a little jellybean shape with a really good strong heartbeat. I didn't know what to expect to see, but it was amazing. And we got two pictures which didn't cost anything either!

It was all rather emotional, and I'm still in shock really. Hubby is currently sleeping off his shock along with the beer he had when we got back... lol.

I can't say I'll stop worrying, but I do feel a bit better now.

Jules, apparently I'm off for an "initial thrombophilia assessment" tomorrow... Am guessing you might know what one of those is? No probs if not, hopefully I'll find out sooner or later anyway! Just been looking at your new thread. FWIW I agree totally. Hope all is well with you and the small gorgeous one

teeheelaydee · 11/08/2008 17:56

Great news GB I too have to go back to same place as scan for mmc so know how you feel. Hopefully your mind will be able to rest until the next scan.

Mine's on Friday - should be 6+5

teehee congrats!!! that;s great news! good luck on the scan i know how nerve wrecking it can be, but it will be sooo good to see your little bean beating away.

gb congrats on the good scan results as well.

it's great with all the positive news so far.

i've got my own 12 week scan on thurs and am bricking it. i know i saw my bun kicking away 2 weeks ago, but it's too hard to accept everything is ok. of course i am praying that it is, but i am scared of getting my poor heart broken again...

bunnyinheadlights · 11/08/2008 19:50

Hi everyone

I've taken a deep breath and dared to join you ladies - though with my history it may be for a short while. Anyway could really do with some positive vibes and a bit of empathy.

I posted yesterday as got a bfp (af 4 days late). Should be feeling elated but I'm a complete wreck. 3 mc in the last year kind of dampens my optimism but fingers crossed for 4th time lucky. I phoned EPU this morning and have a scan booked for Fri 22nd Aug. So I should be just over 6wks and see a bean. Started aspirin today so hope that works.

Trouble is I don't seem to have any pg symptoms and have been having weird abdo disturbances is the best I can describe it. More sharp than period cramp but kind of feel tender on and off. This pg carry on is sending me loopy I swear!! I must've been to the toilet about 20 times today, not cos I needed just to do the wipe test (note to self invest in some quilted loo roll for work - NHS cheapskates).

So Jules' gorgeous baby and all these other expanding bumps send some baby vibes my way please!

Thanks Jules. New born cuddles are great. I bet your body is a lovely new mum shape and will never feel the same again cos look how clever it was producing your gorgeous girl. And another thing daughters always think their mum is beautiful and make you feel so special (well until they reach DD age 9's age then they start slagging off your dress sense and flabby tummy! )
