Hi ladies. Came on to see if Daisy was around?

Just wanted to let her know that I am starting to feel a little braver now and have just joined one of the antenatal threads.

Glad to see this thread is still going strong.....

cricri · 01/08/2008 20:48

Feedmenow Daisy is on holiday at the moment (we're on the same AN thread). She's been away a week and I believe she's away for 2, but I'm not 100% sure.
I'm pleased to hear you're feeling a bit braver now, it must be so difficult after what you've been through.
Please keep popping by and let us know how you're doing.

MrsMcJnr · 01/08/2008 21:49

Hang in there ladies, symptoms do come and go and some days you'll feel more preggers than others

Feedmenow - hey you sorry to hear you've been having a hard time, hope you are ok x

supersteph · 02/08/2008 16:41

Glad to here DAN we are in the same boat. Is this your first baby? I was sick again this am, so I feel a bit better today. The sickness stopped a week ago. So every 1 is right, symptoms come and go... xx

grinningbee · 02/08/2008 17:03

Hello ladies!

I recognise a few names from here from when I had my mmc in October.

Mind if I join in on the paranoid knicker checking?

I got my BFP on Monday and think I'm somewhere between 6 and 7 weeks. I've managed to get an early scan on the 11th, and am wishing time away something rotten!

tsom · 02/08/2008 21:26

Could I also join the worrying about pregnancy symptoms (or lack of)?
I am 5 weeks today, previously have had ectopic, ds1, mc 5.5 weeks, ds2, mmc 8 weeks and mmc 9 weeks. Am chewing my fingernails a bit. Trying to hold off an early scan as my scan at 6+2 in my last pregnancy was inconclusive ("no heart beat but maybe your dates are wrong") and then spent 2 weeks fearing the worst whilst hoping for the best. Also am going on holiday between 6-8 weeks so may just keep my fingers crossed and carry on symptom spotting.

Good luck to everyone, sticky beans...

Hi Justjules!

Yes, he was poorly, but I'm pleased to say (fingers crossed touch wood) that the treatment is all over now, and he's just on regular checkups to make sure the bugger doesn't come back!

I've had a bit of a scare. I went for a wee last night, and there was a small bit of brown blood. Of course I went into panic mode because this is how it started for me last time. However, there has been nothing so far today, but I'm sure I had nothing for a day or two last time before it all kicked off.

Can someone please slap me and tell me not to worry!!!My early scan is a week tomorrow but the temptation to ring them tomorrow is strong.

iliketosleep · 03/08/2008 12:32

grinningbee Everything will be fine, but its a waste of time telling you to relax as you just wont I would ring for an earlier scan anyway as scans are FAB! (to set your mind at ease of course )

I'm 38 weeks today but i think baby is back to back

vicky38 · 03/08/2008 13:47

Hi there ive got two older children, suffered a misscariege a year ago and now pregnant again. It has taken me this long to pluck up the courage to try again and now i'm scared of it happening again . Any advice on how to relax would be recived gratefully

ronshar · 03/08/2008 21:18

iliketosleep · 03/08/2008 21:26

Oops sorry vicky38, welcome!

Unfortunatly there isn't a way to relax sorry

But feel free to offload any worries etc here, like ronshar pmsl

cricri · 03/08/2008 21:58

Grinningbee Lovely to see you here and congratulations on your BFP I'm really pleased about your DH too. Hope you haven't had any more bleeding. As ILTS says, early scans are great. I had one at 7+3 after a mmc and having that picture to focus on really helped.
Vicky38 and tsom Welcome and congratulations. Hope your pregnancies are uneventful, although as ILTS also says, there is no easy way to relax. Offloading worries here really does help.
I had my 4D scan today and we're having a girl DH and I are thrilled and the scan was a lovely experience. Made it so much more real and can't wait to meet her. Now need to think seriously about names...

iliketosleep · 03/08/2008 22:01

oooh congrats!! any chance of posting a couple of pics for us to coo over??

Lcy · 04/08/2008 00:13

Hello everyone

Just wanted to say congrats to JustJules, TJuice, Sweetkitty and everyone else who has recently had their babies

I am now 39.2 weeks pregnant - so hoping to give birth sooner rather than later!

The anniversary of my miscarriage is on the 16th August and i will be spending some time thinking of my first little one.

xx

Lcy · 04/08/2008 00:14

Oh and congrats to CriCri on finding out you are having a girl!

cricri · 04/08/2008 09:49

Lcy Lovely to hear from you I can't believe you're 39 weeks, hopefully it won't be long now before you're holding your LO in your arms.
There is a picture from my 4D scan on my profile BTW.

grinningbee · 04/08/2008 10:30

Omg! Cricri those baby pictures on your profile are amazing!

feedmenow · 04/08/2008 17:11

Cricri, Mrsmc and Jules, thanks for the friendly words.

Will keep an eye out for Daisy's return.

Vicky, my best advice would just be to "be". Set yourself small targets. How many weeks are you? If you are really early, then maybe consider paying for an early scan somewhere between now and your 12 week scan so that you only have to get through a few weeks til you get some reassurance, then only a few weeks more til you get reassurance again. Maybe consider buying a doppler so you can hear babes heartbeat between your 12 week scan and when you start to feel movement. But my biggest piece of advise would be not to let your fear ruin even one second of your pregnancy. You have a precious life growing inside you and it deserves to be loved and appreciated the whole time. Good luck. xx

Hi Everyone, so much to catch up on.. so many babies in progress...and now loads of babies that have made it into our lives HOORAY!

cricri congrats on your little girl!! she's a doll! how exciting for you. i am so pleased for you

iliketosleep - no sign of baby yet? are you going to try the old methods like a hot curry etc to speed things along?

teeheelaydee · 04/08/2008 20:54

Hi ladies - some names I recognise and wondered if I could dip my toe in. Just found out I am PG - BFP today after 3 m/c from June to Feb.

Don't want to spend the whole time being paranoid so thought you ladies may be able to keep me sane. Really agreed with you feedme my plan is to be positive.

Grinningbee Was also on mc thread in Oct and I think we were about at the same time - spooky huh?

Doctor already said I can have scan at 8 weeks so counting down already.
