ronshar · 30/07/2008 22:33

I remember the sausages!! Was that from Avengers or here? You see I am also unable to think straight.

iliketosleep · 30/07/2008 23:11

Yeah was from the cake thread which should have been battered sausage thread!!!

Funny you should say about forgetting about your belly, the only time i realise mine is there is when i have to get the kids to put my socks on for me

As for prescriptions, i THINK your midwife should have given you one, is it called a MATB1 form or something like?

Emmsy1 · 31/07/2008 07:01

Ronshar,

see here

cricri · 31/07/2008 07:28

Just catching up with this thread...
Bunny Great news about your scan - such a relief Wishing you an uneventful pg from now on.
Welcome to the newbies - this thread is great for support esp in those nerve-wracking early days.
Ronshar and ILTS When you feel like more cleaning give me a shout My nesting instinct obviously hasn't kicked in yet and could do with a clean
Ronshar I've been grappling with the MA form as I'm self-employed too. What a royal PIA it is too. I'm not even sure when to stop working and how long for at the moment Don't want to lose my hard-won clients but on the other hand want to make the most of my time with the baby. It's difficult...
Hope everybody else is OK. I'm counting the days to my 4D scan on Sunday when we find out the flavour at last

Emmsy1 · 31/07/2008 07:52

cricri do you want a boy or girl? I bet your DP wants a boy and you would love a little girl, then you can dress her up in all the lovely clothes they have for girls, and not forgetting all the shopping trips together when she's older
I like both, but really hope the sonographer guesses correct at baby being a girl, need to balance it out a little!

cricri · 31/07/2008 08:57

Emmsy Funnily enough we both have a slight preference for a girl, although at the end of the day, as long as s/he is healthy then we're not too worried Friends with boys tend to feel they're easier than girls, but I guess I'm more familiar with girls so feel slightly more comfortable with that. We'll see! Not long to wait now...

hi ladies - thanks for confirming that i havent gone totally mad. yes a relief but the road ahead is still long. for that reason i hope you dont mind if i dont put my name down on the list yet....till after the 12 week scan. call me superstitious...

very envious of all of you who are in nesting/cleaning mode. ronshar made me laugh you cleaning oven with your belly

quick question - i am signed off work for now. but am wondering if you would go back if the bleeding still hasnt stopped? i feel guilty for being off work for so long... but of course i want to do the right thing for the little bean. any thoughts?

iliketosleep · 31/07/2008 15:20

myself personally i would take the time off for as long as possible as R&R never did anyone any harm, but its a personal choice. If you feel well enough and want to go back, then go for it!!

iliketosleep · 31/07/2008 15:23

I have an achey fanjo and all down the back of my thighs. Cant be normal can it??

dan39 · 31/07/2008 16:55

Hello all - a question - when does the line appear - the one from your bellybutton down? I think I might have found it. Or I might just be mad...
I have decided to try and be positive as I am 13 weeks and seem to have a tummy that suggests something is growing in there - although I still get the paranoid moments when I think I am imagining it and just fat. Its so hard! (the situation not the tummy)My DH is being very supportive in trying to get me to think positive, but I feel a bit like I am in a no man's land as its 7 weeks til 20 week scan. How on earth do I know things are okay for all that time? I suppose tum will grow? Seeing mw in a week or so - will she try to find the heartbeat with the doppler thingy? I wondered about buying one but I reckon I would be even more paranoid (if possible) if I couldn't work it.

iliketosleep · 31/07/2008 17:28

I never got a line but i have a wonderful hairy belly (why????)!!

Its hard to keep yourself reasured during the LONNNGG wait, i got a doppler and didnt really have a problem finding heartbeat so was always reassured. They are expensive to buy though so you could rent one from doppler hire

doppler hire

they also have an ebay thing but i cant find it!

Found it first time at 9 weeks! so at 13 you stand a good chance! it will be quite low down in your pelvis. Midwife will find it

RosyBelle · 31/07/2008 19:09

ILTS - have been off Battered sausage this pregancy and have steak pie from the chippy instead - 18 days and an aching fanjo?? Are those aches coming in waves??

Ronshar - you could cellotape a cleaning wipe to your belly and just shimmy round the house... my belly is not that big yet but I could tape 1 to my ar*e

Dan - I never got a line with DD - and not this time either... however am with ILTS on the hairy bump thing - it stuck up in the air!? - I wanted to wax it but midwife would not let me... but thankfully it fell out when DD was born.

iliketosleep · 31/07/2008 19:50

nope not quite ready yet anyway, ive made no plans for the 13th so she can come then, i will allow it

The dc are playing computer and all i can hear is...

"ooooh mama, too hot, too spicy......hot hot!!" lol its so funny

RosyBelle · 31/07/2008 20:05

ILTS are you aware that your DC's are not over the age of 8 yet and the web has such a thing as parental control?? What on earth are they playing??

DH has taken DD to local carnival so have spent 2 hrs alone and in heaven - only nothing to watch on TV

Saw midwife yesterday and as am high risk have been referred to consultant - the same man who took 10k off us during the last 2 cycles of IVF - what shall I say to him ladies? Apart from 'can I have my f**ing money back'

iliketosleep · 31/07/2008 20:27

Its from the subway advert for the reggae reggae chicken sub, just coincidence they are on computer (wii sports)

Yeh i would ask for a refund, think it would work? lol

MrsMcJnr · 31/07/2008 23:55

Ah Jules, your DD is soooooo cute

becklespeckle · 01/08/2008 10:00

I have just changed my due date from what the scan had give me.

BUNNY glad your scan went well. I am still worried as my sickness has gone and bb dont feel as sore. But still enlarged with darker veins. (sorry tmi) And also I still cannot feel my uterus! I am sure evrything is ok but I now cannot wait till I feel my little 1 move. I have been told that it could be earlier this time as it is my second pregnancy. (well third including the mmc.)

I think what I am trying to say is you never stop being woried untill you have your baby in your arms. And of course when you know your little 1 is fine, you have lots of diffirent worries then........
I am sure all will be ok in the end....

dan39 · 01/08/2008 15:53

Supersteph - you are due at nearly same time as me, i am 4th feb - good to hear you are as paranoid as I am! i don't feel sick either, just yest and today - but I have been drinking bucket loads of water and wondered if I had been feeling queasy as dehydrated. My boobs have done nothing at all, maybe a wee bit itchy sometimes but nothing otherwise, which scares me. I so feel like I am wishing my life away as I want to get to the 'next bit' which is really any bit that gives me some evidence! I think my tummy is growing but then I think I am imagining it...
I nam sure you are right and the worry never stops, and you swop it for other worries when it comes out!
