MrsMcJnr · 26/07/2008 23:47

Hello downbutnotout, thank you for your lovely words I hope life is being much kinder to you these days!

Congratulations Squarebear I know we have met somewhere on MN before My baby was a January baby and personally I think it?s a lovely time to have a baby! Enjoy the holiday, and feeling better. Sounds like 2nd stage karma kicking in to me!

iliketosleep · 27/07/2008 11:25

Morning all,

Well what a day its been so far, im exhausted!! Its DD1s 8th birthday and i woke up with a banging headache and visual disturbance. I had previously mentioned this to midwife and she said to phone the hospital if it happens again. Well I was naughty and decided against it as i didnt want to be dragged to hospital on today of all days. As it turns out MW had left something out of my kit and turned up about half an hour ago to drop it off. I mentioned the headache to her and she checked me and i was fine! So diagnosis is migrane, which is good as i was worried about pre eclampsia!

Anyway took some tablets so am feeling a bit brighter now, The DDs are in the pool cooling down, DS finally gets his go on the ps3 after 3 days of pestering (could do with the quiet for a while) and my mums invited us round for sunday lunch so woohoo!!

Dp has gone to a boot sale with his brother for an hour so i will go and get a couple of chores done before we go out.

P.s. 37 weeks today so operation get this baby outta me begins today

supersteph · 27/07/2008 13:36

goingfor3 · 28/07/2008 16:19

iliketosleep · 28/07/2008 16:30

Its soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hot today

im going to melt!!!!

AAARRRGGGHHHHH

iliketosleep · 28/07/2008 17:28

Oh jules i keep forgetting to ask,

How is your sister getting on now? she cant have long left??

downbutnotout · 28/07/2008 20:13

Hi steph - I noticed you hadn't posted for a while and I'm glad that everything's OK.

To the ladies who are "larging" it - I feel for you. I've only been huge during the winter when I had the reverse problem of a very cold midriff, but I can really imagine that this heat is no picnic.

Have thrown caution to the winds this week and told my boss (which went much better than I expected) and dd, who is soooooo excited . She is already thinking of names - her current choices are Julia for a girl and Zeus for a boy (I blame our Greek holiday)

ronshar · 28/07/2008 22:25

Love the names. My DD2 who is 3 informed pre-school that the baby was going to be called baby Jesus! Not sure were that one came from but I am trying to talk her out of it.

I have worked my way through a tub of lemon sorbet, I am still reallllllly hot. It has just rained here but it really hasnt helped!
I am not complaining about the sun shine. I would prefer that to the cold but I just cant cool down.
Swollen ankles anyone?

Goingfor3 and Mrsmc, it is brilliant that you have come to visit us. It gives me inspiration that there is light at the end of this dark tunnel of worry. Thank you very much. I bet your little ones are just beginning to caus eyou more worry. Sitting up, rolling around. Oh the joys of impending toddlerdom.

iliketosleep · 28/07/2008 22:37

we had THE best thunderstorm, and then to top that we had ANOTHER thunderstorm, it was great

I heart thunderstorms

Im cool now!!

ronshar · 28/07/2008 22:47

I used to be scared of the thunder storms. But now I am a big girl I love them. We get some great lightening down here on the coast. Today however I think they passed us by.

iliketosleep · 28/07/2008 23:10

we are still getting the odd rumble or flash and it started at 6 this evening, excitment has worn off a little bit now but i still heart thunderstorms

I dont heart being fat and uncomfortable

bunnyinheadlights · 29/07/2008 10:47

jules she is beautiful gorgeous yummy and sweet! you must be so chuffed...

sorry to hear that you ladies with bigger bumps are suffering in the heat - cant be nice - when i had dd my ankles swelled into unrecognisable tree trunks. hopefully cooler weather in store to help.

downbutnotout great that you've told your boss must be a great weight off your mind! i cant wait to get to your stage!

at the moment i am 10 weeks on wed (tomorrow) but lots of brown blood this morning when i wiped i am worried sick now and wonder whether i should rush to doctors or just wait. i hate this. sorry for bringing this thread down - but am so scared.

MollieMooma · 29/07/2008 11:20

Bunny Oh hun I can appreciate how worried you are, don't leave it thought, call your GP or the EPAU to put your mind at rest. Just remember it's really common to bleed during pregnancy and just coz we've all had bad experiences doesn't mean that it bodes ill. I'm not going to tell you to relax coz I'm sure you can't but sending you a virtual hug x
ILTS Wishing your time away for you so you can hold your LO in your arms
Jules How delicious is your DD, loving the updates
Supersteph Congrats on your scan
ronshar LOL at swollen ankles - poor you

bunny thinking of you - get yourself down to docs if it will help you feel better. Hopefully you have a good GP who can help you.

iliketosleep · 29/07/2008 12:59

I'll second what jules said, we both had subchorionic haematomas (sp?) at the beginning of our pregnancies. Lucky for me jules was there to put my mind at rest and look at us now! Jules has a gorgeous 3 week old dd and i will have mine in 2 week (I WILL!!!!!)

Thankyou for wishing the time away for me

My nesting is starting today WOOHOO!!!!

bunnyinheadlights · 29/07/2008 13:18
