jules she's lovely and beautiful - i want to give her a big cuddle! congratulations again!!!

mollie i am sure you will be fine and will see lots it's hard waiting isn't it? since my 6 week scan i have been counting down the days to my 8 week scan (this weekend) and have already broken down in tears imagining the worst case scenario... i know must think positive... how are you feeling otherwise? i have been sick as a dog and spent most of the time dry heaving (yes at work) told people i had a tummy bug...

ebb wow 11 weeks already! that's fantastic! i cant wait to get past the first trimester. you're almost there! will be thinking of you - i know what you mean about the nerves!

welcome to dan39. yes it's nice to come here and realise actually all the insane thoughts are being shared by the rest of us... mc really messes with one's mental state.

hello everyone else!

Jules

We haven't 'spoken' much since you became 'properly' pregnant, but I've been following your story with such interest, and am so pleased everything's worked out for you. And she is indeed gorgeous.

Elibum Good luck for your nuchal although I'm sure all will be well, glad to hear my bricking it thoughts are common
Bunny I'm not feeling too bad thanks, very very tired and a little nauseous this morning, sore (.)(.) and some twinges but I don't mind But was a bit annoyed that I hardly slept a wink last night for worrying about my scan!

Sweetkitty Don't think we've "met" before but congratulations [smile

ronshar · 16/07/2008 12:19

Jules your pics made me cry.

ronshar · 16/07/2008 12:44

ElliG Hi love how are you. I didnt ignore your facebook message honest. My facebook is taking ages to load itself so I figure it would be easier to catch up with you here. How is DP. Better I hope. When has the wedding been rearranged for? Or have I missed it

TwilightSurfer · 16/07/2008 14:03

Congratulations SWEETKITTY!!!!!

downbutnotout · 16/07/2008 18:39

Come on then jules, we've seen your lovely photos, now we want the birth story!

DBNO what a FANTASTIC scan picture! How many weeks are you now?

Got to stop posting on here when I'm not pg... but then jules officially ISN'T pregnant, and she's still posting!

elibumbum · 16/07/2008 21:00

dbno - wow - perfect little baby - you must be so relieved.

downbutnotout · 16/07/2008 22:38

Thanks everyone - jules, your baby is beautiful too.

I'm 12 weeks and it feels so strange to be here at last. Trying to take it one day at a time.

ronshar · 16/07/2008 22:42

DBNO, what a really clear picture. Your baby looks perfect from where I am looking.

Jules are we going to get the skinny on your ordeal sorry beautiful birth experience.

Kate you stay as long as you like.

Hi Jules - start a separate thread under bf-ing and some experts like tiktok or mears will be along I'm sure.
Main thing is lots of skin to skin, feeding on demand and making sure you have the right latch. However, you are only on day 5 right? My milk came in that day so if yours has come in too (norks like beachball rocks?!) supply will start building more from now on.
Remember her tummy is only the size of a walnut and she is probably getting plenty well done you for keeping it up x

cricri · 17/07/2008 08:27

DBNO what a lovely clear scan picture I really hope you can start to relax a bit now (although easier said than done I know )
Jules Good luck with the BF.
Kate I agree with Ronshar, stay with us - you're going to be back soon anyway

elibumbum · 17/07/2008 09:07

jules have a look at the kellymom.com website - it has loads of info on all aspects of bf. It is early days yet - should increase soon. Good luck

splishsplosh · 17/07/2008 14:08

Congratulations to Sweetkitty and also great news DBNO Jules - on top of advice already given, also drink lots of water, and don't forget to ask for as much help and suuport as you need - m/w and hvs aren't always the greatest but remember the phone helplines, also there should be bf counsellors at your hospital or at local clinics and some places have baby cafes for mum to mum support.

Remember that most people find it tough to begin with, it's not just you, but if it's something you want to do then help, support and some perseverance are all you need, and it does get loads easier, and is v convenient and free. On the other hand, if you do struggle and hate it, then don't beat yourself up about it - whatever works for you and Eleanor x
