Woken up this morning to some bleeding. It's brown at the moment so hoping that's a good sign. And I'm not in any pain. Unfortunate that it's happening on a weekend, so I have to wait to Monday to ask the GP to refer me to the EPU.

Ginnygi · 02/08/2025 08:46

Husband announced he wants to leave today.

I don't know how I can live anymore.
Please tell me this won't end the pregnancy. I can't breathe.

Mads96 · 02/08/2025 08:56

@Scribblespreemy first was a girl and second a boy! So no pattern to symptoms really. I did crave salt and vinegar crisps with DD and sweets with DS but other than that no major differences in symptoms!

Mads96 · 02/08/2025 08:57

@Ginnygioh gosh, did he give reasons as to why? Focus on you and baby 💗 have you got family or friends who can come and be with you? Sending virtual hugs

TheFutureIs · 02/08/2025 08:59

Oh shit @Ginnygi no advice but sending you love xx

WishingUponARainbow · 02/08/2025 09:06

Oh @Ginnygi I’m so sorry to read your updates. I’m sorry there isn’t much I can say but please take care of yourself and bubs. Sending lots of hugs and strength x

Ginnygi · 02/08/2025 09:30

I'm going to leave this thread for now as don't want to spread negativity on here.
Really hoping for the baby to be okay, I'll try to stay calm as much as possible (hard when I spend most time sobbing) so the baby does well.
Would be tempted to get a scan today but too scared in case something's has already happened. Can't take any more bad news.

Ginnygi · 02/08/2025 10:10

Ended up booking a scan which is in just over an hour..
I don't know if it was a good decision or not. Can't feel any fatigue today so that stressed me out but it could all be due to the shock.

@Mads96 are you first two boys or girls if you mind me asking?
I have zero sickness and am genuinely curious to know if you or anyone else has actually experienced this being linked to baby’s gender or if it’s just completely random!?

I have 2 boys and a girl. I was also pregnant with a girl 2 years ago but unfortunately lost her halfway through the pregnancy 😞
With both girls I was very sick and had to be on antisickness tablets and even then was still very nauseous. Both boys I was barely sick, first I was a bit but it was very manageable, could still work etc. with my girls I had to be signed off for months. So I believe there is something in it, for me anyway. I feel exactly the same as with the girls again this time! I'm sooo sick 🤢 So I'll be extremely shocked if this turns out to be a boy 😂

@PickleThePenguin I had a some brown bleeding on and off. Never lasted more than a day. Also not accompanied by any pain. No matter how often you read that it’s completely fine and normal it’s still horrible so can sympathise. Hope baby is completely fine. Monitor it and if it doesn’t get heavy or turn bright red try and find comfort in that, though I know it’s so hard not to worry.

Mushroo · 02/08/2025 10:42

@Ginnygi i was horribly stressed during my first pregnancy and everything was fine. So sorry to hear your updates.

just had my scan and all great! Strong heartbeat and measuring 7 weeks which is exactly what I thought. So relieved, feels a bit more real!

@Pennyroses I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your baby girl and at so late on in the pregnancy, must have been devastating. Wishing you an amazing, healthy pregnancy this time round, and if your previous symptoms are anything to go by, a beautiful baby girl at the end of it.

It is interesting how for some, the sex of the baby seems to make a difference and for others not. Wonder what camp I’ll be in - this is my first so not anecdotal evidence to compare anything too!

PickleThePenguin · 02/08/2025 10:45

@Scribblespree

Thanks for your reassurance, fingers crossed it's just random. Still bleeding now but not got any heavier, so hoping it'll peter out. Off for a day in London so hopefully that will be a good distraction.

@Ginnygi best of luck at the scan today. Hope it’s good news and you get the reassurance you need. I’m so sorry to hear what you’re going through at the moment. Judging by how your partners been behaving recently, it sounds like in the interim at least you and baby would benefit from a bit of time away from him right now, not least because of the stress he’s been causing you and then in turn, additional worry that stress is harming your baby. Do you have any close friends or family you can lean on right now? I think you need as much love, kindly support as you can get right now from people you can trust x

Casper94 · 02/08/2025 11:52

@Ginnygi hope the scan gives you the reassurance you need ❤️ I don't know you well and obviously have no idea of your whole situation but I'm going to be honest, it sounds like you'll be better off without your husband at this point. It's gonna be rough for a while and feel like crap, but if my choice was go through the pregnancy alone or be treated the way he's been treating you lately, I'd choose to be alone. In time he'll realize his mistake and at that point you'll have moved passed it all. You're strong, your baby will keep you going and they can survive all kinds of stuff in there - you being reasonably upset at the moment is not going to damage them. Take care of yourself, maybe take some time off work and go see friends and family ❤️❤️

TheFutureIs · 02/08/2025 14:22

Measuring spot on for today. I'm slightly worried that the tail is still so visible at 7w6d.

Pennyroses · 02/08/2025 15:09

@Scribblespree thankyou ❤️ it's been a tough couple of years, just hope this one works out this time 🤞🏼🙏🏼 I think there's a theory that in general HCG levels are higher with a girl which is why morning sickness is often associated with girls but then I know a few people (including my own mother!) who didn't get it at all with girls. So you just don't know really until a scan confirms it!

@Ginnygi Glad it went ok and baby is well! That’s really positive!!
I read that apparently the tail doesn’t start to disappear until week 9 if that makes you feel any better?

TheFutureIs · 02/08/2025 15:14

They’re still quite tadpole like at this stage!

Ginnygi · 02/08/2025 16:50

I'm looking at the scan pictures they emailed and I think it's the positioning of yolk sac in the physical pic they gave me that gave the tale-like look! Looks different from the emailed pics and it's vas VERY much like a tadpole.

I think my husband has a depression. When I think about it now, all signs were there. I think he's been unwell for white some time. I don't know what the future holds for us. Focusing on the baby now.

Ginnygi · 02/08/2025 16:51

Obviously, if he wants and accepts my help, I will help. But if he shuts off and blames things on me, I can't help.

Fallulah · 02/08/2025 18:50

Glad your scan was ok @Ginnygi - stay here with us if you want to; you’re not being negative. Does your OH have somewhere to go/anyone to talk to about how he’s feeling?

We’ve come away for another little break, not far from home this time. I think the tiredness has hit! I haven’t slept properly the last couple of nights - I’m overthinking everything!

Is anyone else on high dose folic acid and finding it’s giving them an upset stomach? I’m taking it at night with my vitamin D and wonder if I’d be better taking it in the morning instead. 🤔

@PickleThePenguin how are you doing now? Hope you had a good day.

Orangelover · 02/08/2025 18:53

6+4 here and still pretty symptomless! Had some mild nausea weds/thurs and was so excited but literally feel fine today.

I'm about to go into Sainsbury's and I'm not going to be able to stop myself from purchasing a weeks indicator but I'm gonna struggle if it doesn't give me that 3+.

These weeks drag big time! Even DH who is always calm about everything was like "how has it only been just over a couple of weeks since we found out?!" Shock

Lovely to read everyone's positive scan news. Hoping for the same next week for us but can't quite let myself think about it yet.
