Hello, thought I’d join in! Found out on Wednesday we are pregnant with our second, already have a two year old little girl. From the maths we’re around 8 weeks - didn’t realise before and just put a late period and symptoms down to stress at work 😅

Have our booking appointment on the 9th. Feeling tired and nauseous all the time but always struggle to believe it’s real until that first scan!

Hope everyone is doing okay 🤞🏻 and big congratulations to all 🎉

@Orangelover please please know that once you get to 6 weeks, the indicators are really inaccurate as your hCG is so high at that point.
@Fallulah thank you ❤️ He'll definitely go to see a therapist as he already asked me to book one two days ago but I told him to do it himself because I wasn't feeling well.

PickleThePenguin · 02/08/2025 19:25

@Fallulah Thanks for checking in. Still some brown discharge but much lighter. Was good to get out and catch up with friends rather than over thinking at home. So feeling a bit more positive.

I know I don't even know why I did it, full wast of £12. But I did and got a 3+ and it's made me feel mildly better Grin

That's great you got it!

Had our scan today, measuring spot on at 12 weeks with a lovely heart beat.
I still have loss of symptoms, cramps, brown discharge, and lighter pregnancy tests but everything is currently okay.
Fingers crossed little baby keeps growing well and the scare of another loss will decrease and I can be more positive.

Lovely news that all is well ❤️
Would you not be due in February if you're 12 weeks now? Or was it a typo?

Emilyj13 · 02/08/2025 21:15

Ops @Ginnygi yes should say 7 weeks!!!

Mushroo · 02/08/2025 21:36

@Emilyj13 yay! Glad yours went well too xx

Peanutbutterjelly123 · 02/08/2025 22:07

Glad to see all the scans went well ❤️

@Ginnygi you definitely sound like you ate better off apart than together at the minute so you can focus on yourself and the baby. I hope you have some good support around you.

@Scribblespree my first was a girl and I was sick every morning to 20 weeks but then felt fine an hour later & was good for the rest of the day. With my son who we lost at 35 weeks I was more nauseous throughout the day but sick less than half a dozen times the whole pregnancy. Again lasted to about 20 weeks. This time I had nausea for 2 weeks on and off and have been fine apart from that so far 🤞 will be 9 weeks tomorrow so doesn’t seem to be a pattern here.

Absolutely knackered but can’t sleep club 🙋🏻‍♀️

TheFutureIs · 03/08/2025 06:17

I’m up as we’re off to Italy! Our first little family holiday! (I’d also usually be up due to pregnancy insomnia)

WishingUponARainbow · 03/08/2025 06:19

@TheFutureIs whereabouts in Italy? I’m soooooooo jealous 😍 have a wonderful time x

TheFutureIs · 03/08/2025 06:23

It’s on the coast by Rome, little town called Ostia

FlossiePot91 · 03/08/2025 07:25

@Ginnygiglad to hear all is well, you really don’t need that kind of stress right now.
@TheFutureIshave the best time away!

We got to see our little jelly baby yesterday after my stress with bleeding the past few weeks (only one offs but was really worried) Measuring 8wks2 exactly which is what we thought. 🥰 Honeslty woke up in such a better mood today!!

PickleThePenguin · 03/08/2025 08:42

@FlossiePot91 Very exciting, congratulations! I bet you're very relieved!

That’s lovely news I had a bit of On and off bleeding too at 6 weeks 2 days so feel your pain it’s really unsettling and a nice feeling to see the heart beat 🙏🏻✨

anyone else sickness on and off? I can wake up feeling awful or wake up feeling fine not sure if it should fluctuate? I did however have the worst indigestion yesterday and thought that was quite soon for 8 weeks 🫣😩

TheFutureIs · 03/08/2025 09:48

Sickness can definitely fluctuate through the day, completely normal!

Mads96 · 03/08/2025 12:15

Only 6 weeks and feeling nauseous all day long and it’s really getting me down. I can’t do anything, and if I try and push myself I feel worse. Burping lots and then being sick. Any advice? 🙏

Fallulah · 03/08/2025 13:03

@Mads96 Ive got some ginger capsules but haven’t had to use them yet.

I am so sick of waking up with an upset stomach - I now can’t decide whether it’s the strong folic acid or just that this is going to be my version of morning sickness! 🚽 So thankful it’s the school holidays as I could not have this and teach!

Yes - so badly in this club. Doesn’t help that I had a work trip to the US last week so jet lag is adding to it…

I had this and basically just had to do nothing for several days. The tiredness made the nausea and vomiting worse. I am still a bit like that now, but 10 weeks tomorrow and generally less nauseous overall. It gets better!

I joined this club last night between 1.30am and 5.30am. Then DS climbed in at 6.30am, kicking and ready to get up. I am beyond knackered today. :(

Zephyr123 · 03/08/2025 16:45

I was similar to this and called the GP. Got diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum and new tablets.

Give them a call tomorrow and try to keep drinking small sips.

Mads96 · 03/08/2025 17:35

Thanks everyone, I’ve never had sickness this bad with my last 2 DC. Going to ring the doctors tomorrow as it’s getting me down and I’m struggling to eat.

On a more positive note are we planning on finding out the gender of our babies? I didn’t with my first and did with my second. My partner wants it to be a surprise this time and I do too but also nervous about planning and my other DC getting their heads around it without knowing if they’re having a brother or sister. I also don’t want my DD 6 hoping for a sister for months and then it being a brother and she’s not had time to get used to that is that makes sense?
