ThisZippyViewer · 04/09/2025 09:53

Sadly a MMC confirmed for me this morning

wishing you all healthy pregnancies and babies 🤍

Pennyroses · 04/09/2025 10:14

@ThisZippyViewer I'm so sorry 💔 take care of yourself 🤗❤️

Papill19 · 04/09/2025 14:46

@ThisZippyViewer Oh you poor thing! Was that at the 12 week scan?

Mummysparrow · 05/09/2025 08:28

Currently 11 weeks and I have put on 3lb in the last 2 weeks and I swear it is all boobs and constipation 🫠 I took fibergel yesterday to see if it would help my bowel movements but I still had a pathetic amount of movement. So I have taken lactulose this morning and that has done is made me heave since taking it an hour ago 🤦 anyone got any good suggestions to help get things moving?

ThisZippyViewer · 05/09/2025 09:04

@Papill19 yes 😣
no changes to symptoms even things stopped a few weeks ago feeling distraught

LevelOneAgain · 05/09/2025 09:33

Oh @ThisZippyViewerI'm so sorry. Be kind to yourself and I hope your partner is supportive.

@Mummysparrow try yoga/pilates, drink lots so it's softer to pass... And I hate to say it but I've been given iron tablets where constipation is a side effect... I've skipped this morning's to see if that helps me...

13weeks tomorrow

Had an NHS scan yest pm

Orangelover · 07/09/2025 12:50

Well I’m on a family holiday and unfortunately starting bleeding about half an hour ago. A proper gush of fresh red so not feeling optimistic. I literally had a dream last night that exactly this happened.

Could be a hematoma?

Were there clots ?

Orangelover · 07/09/2025 18:46

No no clots. Nothing this afternoon but it has started up again this evening. I do have some mild back pain as well. Know it’s not over til it’s over but I’ve got bad vibes

Are you going to contact epu / Maternity unit tomorrow?

Orangelover · 07/09/2025 21:55

Already have, they can’t see me until Thursday Confused Which feels like an eternity. 12 week scan is booked for Friday anyway. They’ve just advised I go to A+E if I have heavy bleeding and to take it easy and don’t have sex. Funnily enough I don’t fancy that right now..

Hope alls ok - hope its a hematoma

Orangelover · 08/09/2025 12:08

Well all done and baby still there wiggling around and looking good! They couldn’t find any reason for the bleed but cervix long and closed and I’ve only had some mild brown spotting this morning on wiping so feeling much better and will just take it easy now. That was well worth the few quid for peace of mind.

Hi all. I'm due March 2026 (hence posting here!), and my midwife hasn't booked me in for my scan until later on this month. I'll be around 14 weeks, although no idea how far gone I am even since I haven't had a scan yet. Is anyone else in this position? My pregnancies are high risk so I'm just a bit surprised I haven't been offered any earlier scan

CheekyLittleD · 10/09/2025 16:13

Hello all. I've been reticent about joining this thread, as we decided not to have any early reassurance scans or anything, so we've been waiting on our 12-week scan (for what's felt like forever) to get a sign that all is good with our little one.

We had that today, along with the combined screening test, and turns out we're a week ahead of where we thought we were (so 13 weeks + 1) - and all is measuring well.

Saw bubba's heartbeat, its belly rumble and lots of mouth movements too. So I'm guessing it's going to be a chatter box, like it's Dad.

Due date is 17 March 2026. So very glad to be joining you all!

hi everyone. just been for my 12 week scan and by my dates I am 12+2 but measurements show 11+2. there is also fluid behind babies head, apparently too much though she didn’t tell me how much that was. has anybody else had this and what was the outcome? they say I should hear back in a day or two but I cannot stop googling and it’s only been horror stories so far.

Mummysparrow · 11/09/2025 09:47

@mummymanici had this with a pregnancy last year and the outcome wasn't good unfortunately. I have k ow of cases of things to be fine though. I am happy to discuss what happened if you wanted more details. Happy for you to private message me
