@Mummysparrowyes I can’t eat cauliflower or any red cabbage as this makes me bloated and so gassy. And spicy food gives me runny stools. It’s all food I like but need to stay away for now.

Got my appointment for my 12 week scan through for September 12th. Private scan went well, feeling a bit more relaxed now we have seen the heartbeat but still going to be a long wait til 12 weeks

Has everyone heard back for scans and booking in appointments now? After a slow start I got a call on Tuesday asking if I could do my booking appointment that afternoon and my 12 week scan is September 12th. I’m already starting to feel the nerves!

I could really do with that mythical second trimester glow. My chin has erupted with spots and I feel sicky and headachy every day. I keep getting really hormonal. My new fixation is that dp doesn’t find me attractive anymore and if I bring it up he laughs and tells me I’m being ridiculous. I know I’m most likely being ridiculous but it feels really real in my head! It doesn’t help that summer is my least favourite season and I turn into a sweaty grumpy mess between the months of May-August. Here’s hoping for a better September!

BigMoo85 Best of luck for your scan tomorrow! The wait to 12 weeks seems never ending. I’m hoping that means the rest of the pregnancy goes faster!

Had my booking appointment a few weeks and my scan in mid September 2 weeks to go! Cannot wait to see them properly. Had a quick bedside US during Obstetrics appointment but didn’t get to see them fully / hear the heart beat so cannot wait. Went to go for a private appointment but have to wait 1-2 weeks and it all won’t add up so waiting for NHS one.

Hey all i had my scan on friday- all good im now 12+6 today and my nausea has calmed lots. I wanted to ask i am considered high risk due to being obese (bmi 30.2 & more so that i had a small for gestational weight DS born at 37w) ive been asked to try control my weight and not put on more thna 8-10kg which seems hard..whats a normal amount of weight gain per trimester?

I felt the first trimester dragged especially the last couple weeks. My struggle right now is what to wear. My normal clothes don’t necessarily look great and I look a bit fat but bump not really big enough for maternity clothes properly. Especially as I’m still not telling people so trying to hide it. Looking forward to being able to show it off properly. I’m in the office today and no idea what I’ll wear. At least we’re a casual office so don’t have to dress up

@peanutForever your midwife should have told you if you are high risk or there should be something on your maternity pack which identifies the risk?

NHS recommended weight gain goes off your BMI, 25-35lb for “expected weight”, 15-25lb if you fall into the overweight category and 11-20lb in the obese category

Yeah @ThisZippyViewerits my previous pregnancy rather than my weight and 11-20lbs seems soo hard! Havent gained any weight yet but im sure it will pack on in the next trimester

@Bumblebee1984 yes, I hate this phase where nothing really fits but there’s nothing to wear.

I went for a family meal on Saturday and spent hours trying to find something half decent to wear.

In other good news, our NIPT came back all healthy and it’s a BOY 💙 (so chat gpt was completely wrong). We’ve now told close family which is lovely

Ive gained 4 lbs already
no idea what's ' normal '
( Been on ivf meds etc )

I’ve also put on 4lbs, hoping it’ll slow down a bit as I was a bit heavier than ideal when I conceived

Scan went well! Was measuring a few days ahead at 13 weeks! Baby was moving around loads, was lovely to see 🥹❤️

I had my scan this morning and I am 13 weeks exactly. Due date 9th March. Baby did not want to play ball and I had to keep turning on to my sides and go for 2 walks to get baby to move on to it's tummy or back rather than it's side as it seemed nice and comfortable

This little one was also upside down. Scan took ages as had to keep shaking my hips then eventually jump up and down lol
