Jess2826 · 05/05/2025 22:00

Still pregnant here too. 37+4
We had our 36 week growth scan on Tuesday and were signed off for any more growth scans by the consultant as he was happy with his growth and happy to leave us to it with sweeps starting at 40 weeks if needed.
Currently sat on my yoga ball watching One Born Every Minute hoping something will happen sometime soon 🤭

WildWhirlwind · 05/05/2025 22:13

Still pregnant! Thought I'd be one of the first but it feels like lots who were due later in May have already had their babies. I'm chilled and excited for now. 🎉

Lol @Toothfairy0113 well we can just carry on as I'm sure people will just comment when they want 😁

38 week appointment with my midwife tomorrow before my c section on Wednesday.

LeBonBon · 06/05/2025 08:13

Anyone got a successful sweep story? Debating whether to have one tomorrow at my 40w midwife appointment. I've had some encouraging signs but still not in labour. Think I'd be a bit sad if I wasn't dilated enough for them to do it!

Toothfairy0113 · 06/05/2025 12:42

@LeBonBon both my previous labours started less than 24 hours after having a sweep (1st I was 39+3, 2nd I was 39+5). Definitely worth a go! I'm booked in for a sweep at 39 weeks exactly next Monday 🤞

LeBonBon · 06/05/2025 12:58

Thanks @Toothfairy0113 that sounds promising.

I think it'll go for it as I've got the induction booked anyway. Feels slightly surreal that it's all happening this week one way or another!

BrightGoose · 06/05/2025 18:01

@LeBonBon the sweep broke my sisters waters and she wasn’t that dilated at the time.

I got a bit panicked today and packed my bags so if anything does happen I can grab and run but I completely expect radio silence until my section date on the 21st

Jess2826 · 06/05/2025 21:39

Just went back to find this list, I know we have had some babies born if anyone wanted to update theirs. Just looked at my pregnancy app and realised it's only 2 weeks and 2 days until my due date and I think it's just sunk in how close it actually is. 😳🤭5th May - Poster57 💛6th May - TheBeesKnee 💛8th May - Loute02 💙16th May - microwoods 💙17th May - jollydollyirl 🩷19th May - Rainbowsunshine81 💙19th May - Toothfairy0113 💛19th May - BodeAkuna 💙20th May (CS)- brightgoose 🩷22nd May - Jess2826 💙22nd May - 2020N 💛28th May - SnakebitesandSambucas

@Jess2826 forgot about this 😍❤️

LeBonBon · 07/05/2025 17:05

Well I couldn't have the sweep in the end ☹️
Midwife said my cervix felt soft and baby engaged, but she couldn't quite reach to do the sweep.

Got a repeat booked for Saturday at 40+3!

SnakebitesandSambucas · 07/05/2025 17:22

Oh @LeBonBon that must be so annoying especially as you psyched yourself up for it.

SnakebitesandSambucas · 07/05/2025 17:23

I'm back in hospital as my legs look like tree trunks sodding painful and swollen. Waiting on blood tests.

BrightGoose · 07/05/2025 18:11

Aww no sending lots of positive thoughts !

Toothfairy0113 · 07/05/2025 19:15

Oh no @LeBonBon!! Fingers crossed for Saturday 🤞

@SnakebitesandSambucas hope they get you sorted and back home quickly ❤️ I know it's different coz not during pregnancy but my legs and feet swelled SO badly last year on holiday and it really was SO bloody painful!

OP posts:
LeBonBon · 07/05/2025 19:36

Thanks @Toothfairy0113 and @SnakebitesandSambucas! Hope you're OK with the swelling - not the same but I've been suffering with carpal tunnel because of the water retention in my hands and I get pins and needles all the time, it's horrible! I took my wedding rings off weeks ago as I was starting to worry that they would have to be cut off!

With my DD I never had a "soft" cervix (even after two pessaries and the induction gel!!!) so I'm not too disappointed! Still hopeful for a VBAC.

SnakebitesandSambucas · 07/05/2025 20:27

I'm back home now. Had an MRI and omg it was so uncomfortable breathing wise. Going back in tomorrow for a Doppler check on my legs. Lucky no carpal tunnel so far. But this heat doesn't help doesn't it. Debating wether I can rock my slippers for the next week as no chance I can wear any of my shoes 😆

Rainbowsunshine81 · 08/05/2025 05:01

Hi everyone, baby Luca was born yesterday via c section at 12.16 pm weighing 7 lbs
10 ounces. He's absolutely beautiful and his big brother is besotted. He's on the neonatal unit at the moment as he was grunting, had some fluid on his lungs. My mum, in law's and brother in law have met him. I went back late last night and had some skin to skin with him, was so amazing 🥰

SnakebitesandSambucas · 08/05/2025 05:38

@Rainbowsunshine81 I'm so pleased and happy. Hope you got that nice photo. He sounds like a strong baby boy so that skin to skin should be working it's magic xxx

BrightGoose · 08/05/2025 06:26

@Rainbowsunshine81 congratulations he must of just been in abit of shock bless him soon to be in mummy’s arms I’m sure xx stay strong hope your not in too much pain x

Rainbowsunshine81 · 08/05/2025 08:20

@SnakebitesandSambucas hubby took lots of photos and videos which is so nice. They said that's he's strong in the neonatal unit as he was pulling at the tubes in his nose. Xxx
