Due November after loss

CloudsInMyCoffee09 · 11/04/2025 15:31

Hi there,
I've started this thread so that mamas who have similar due dates following a previous loss or losses have somewhere to chat and feel supported.

I've been on a November due date thread but I feel there's a huge difference in the mindset of people who have experienced loss and those who haven't - which makes total sense!

We have different worries and milestones to make it past etc, so please join if you need somewhere to chat, rant, vent, or share your worries.

Pregnancy is an anxious time as it is without having previous trauma to contend with. Is it just me, or has all the joy been sucked out of the experience?

Could someone take him for a few hours in the day time for you to get some sleep?

I have always found 2-3 weeks a real killer for sleep with both of mine. I think you need some help sooner than next Friday to be honest.

When do you get your best sleep? I'm a night owl so sleep better in the mornings so my partner has got up early with them and then left me to sleep in. The 2-3h of better quality sleep has given me a bit of a boost. If you are more of a lark, could someone take him in the evening and you head up to bed early ?

Cmpa can present with constipation as well as loose stools

would your MIL come over a d be awake with him so you can sleep? First couple of weeks I found I slept best when my husband was awake and able to watch her. Ot was the only time I slept properly as I knew she was with someone and was safe!

You could see if you have any chiropractors or osteopaths bear you thst specialise in babies? I was completely sold, my daughter was always so mich. almer and more relaxed after her session

It sounds like a good idea to be honest i might need to look into whether there is one in my area or nearby. Since i dont drive either😅
I only really sleep when my OH is with him because i know hes safe! But with my OH going back to work today, i said id settle baby down and bring him back to bed when hes had a feed, change and is calm.. nope... nothing hes still fussy and keeping mommy up all night🤣

Pumpkinspice13 · 04/12/2025 23:04

Good luck for tomorrow @Bellabubble

LER2023 · 05/12/2025 06:32

I had the best night sleep... baby slept from 9pm until 4am with 2 feeds!!!
Turns out baby is going through a growth spurt so hes going to be restless and fussy and best thing... not sleeping properly🤣
Im literally staring at him in his crib in awe that ive made a little baby with such a huge personality already! 2 weeks old and hes the cheekiest chap and the most dramatic baby ive ever met🤣 his sneezes and little coughs are very dramatic. Im thinking we may have a little bit of reflux and colic😬 but hes perfect in every single way!

@Bellabubble good luck today!! Im anxiously waiting for some news❤️

Bellabubble · 05/12/2025 07:59

@LER2023 @Pumpkinspice13 thank you! Theybwere too busy last night so cancelled the induction (bit of a relief really lol) but I need to ring them in a bit to see about going in today! I feel a bit uncomfortable this morning - bit of back ache, almost a bit sicky - hoping it’s a sign she wants to come of her own accord 🤞🏻

@LER2023 I’m so glad you got a good stint of sleep - it makes so much difference!

ITS A SIGN OMG!

i had backache at the very end, then it all moved to the front, having tightenings and then the contractions begun properly within a couple of hours really.. i say a couple of hours i was in labour 33 hours but you get what i mean lol
I would 10000% do it all again for him.. although we've agreed we're not having anymore🤣

Its the 5th of december and ive finally decided to put the christmas tree up!
We have a few new hanging decorations for the tree. I bought a family one, and my SIL bought baby one, so it says Lennys first christmas 2025🥹

Its amazing that we all have our rainbows just in time for christmas!🥰

Pumpkinspice13 · 05/12/2025 09:12

Can you tell we have baby brain 🙈 I thought it was Thursday today so wished you luck on the wrong day 😂 Good luck for today, hope it all goes ahead and you have baby in your arms soon ❤️

Omg is babys name Lenny? That’s adorable! Hope his little tummy settles soon. Glad you both managed to get some sleep last night. We have hit 5 weeks and baby feels like she is finally starting to settle. I’m getting a lot more sleep and she is no where near as windy and uncomfortable.
I still don’t have my tree up, Christmas is creeping up on me 😂

Jennie1985 · 05/12/2025 11:33

Good luck @Bellabubble those symptoms sound promising!!

@LER2023 thats great you got
sleep at last! Such a tough time the early
weeks. My other daughter is 11 now and it's safe to say I must have blocked the earLy Weeks out as I've forgotten how hard it is! especially these growth spurts which mine is definitely having now. Basically wants to feed for hours on end from maybe 6pm....

@Pumpkinspice13 srill plenty of time to put tree up! My DP got ours out last weekend. Rest of the decorations will be stayin in boxes this year!

what's everyone doing for Christmas? We having a quite one at home, MIL coming for the day.

Yeah little Lenny, his grandad has bought him a football kit with Len on the back and the number 19 for when he was born🤣

We fell in love with the name when we first got pregnant. But of course we didnt know what we was having because we miscarried at 6 weeks every time.
So we always stuck with Lenny being our boys name!

I cant wait for him to settle a little more🤣 my OH has the dreaded flu thats going around, si hes staying far away from us as possible. We top and tailed in bed last night so he didnt sneeze or cough on me🤣
So im single parenting it at the minute while hes down🤣
We have some little decorations for him for the tree (our little tradition is to get something for the tree that represents the year we've had. This year its Lenny🥰)

I needed to put it up otherwise we wouldnt be putting it up at all and i cant do that for babys first christmas he wont remember it but i will🥰

I cant wait to put him in his christmas outfits infront of the tree!😄 (im a sad sack and have been looking forward to this all year🤣🤣)

Baby brain hits us all.. i forgot to sterilise bottles and i had 45 minutes before he was due a feed so got caught a little short and was like shit.. i need to quickly sterilise his bottles before he has a feed🤣 luckily i managed it but gosh the panic!

Hes still the same with his tummy but we've been told its his norm.. so i cant do much about it unfortunately! Just have to hope warm baths, belly rubs and leg exercises help.

Had the health visitor out on wednesday and she was telling us what a good job we're doing as first time parents and we seem to know what to do with a baby.. im not going to lie im winging it and really hoping for the best!🤣

Superscientist · 05/12/2025 16:33

@LER2023 We are all winging it!
I always say you have to try really hard or not at all to cock it up so as long as you are somewhere in the middle you should be alright.
Milton's tablets can be good for quick sterilisation. A tablet in a large pan of water and they are sterile in 15 minutes. The water can be used for 48h

We are staying local this Christmas, we are at my parents for Christmas day in the next town over and we are doing a second Christmas with my in-laws on the 27th once they have travelled up as they are 4+ hours away

Pumpkinspice13 · 06/12/2025 04:26

We are home for Christmas, we have lots planned for other days such as breakfast with Santa, lunch with husbands family, farm trip Xmas eve and Christmas dinner with my family just after Xmas so will be having a very chilled day with games and snacks and will make a simple roast.

@LER2023 Hope you manage to avoid the flu and your partner is feeling better soon. It’s doing the rounds at the minute and is making me really anxious.
I went to max speilmann to get Christmas pics done Wednesday and they booked us in for later in the day but baby leaked through onto to her outfit so I cancelled. She has so many more Christmasy outfits I should have just changed her but I didn’t even think. I need to get booked back In. I’ll also take lots myself once I get round to decorating the house. I’ve been saving inspo on TikTok of how to take good ones 😂
Thats lovely that the health visitor can see how hard you are trying and can see what a great job you are doing. ❤️

LER2023 · 10/12/2025 10:52

Any news? @Bellabubble

Bellabubble · 10/12/2025 12:26

@LER2023 heya!! We do have news :) our little lady was born on Saturday at 11:43am after they broke my waters at 5:30am, she was a whopping 9.5lbs (and has a big appetite already - my poor nipples 😩) and was back to back.

It wasn’t a typical labour/delivery, I lost a lot of blood (we knew it was likely because I did with my first) but I still felt it was really positive about it all as everyone was so calm and thorough. My husband is very clear that we are stopping at 2 though!

my biggest pain is my coccyx..I think she may have bruised me on the way out, but I also had to lay on the bed for around 6 or more hours afterwards which didn’t help! I’ve just ordered a donut pillow on amazon to see if it is more comfy!

How are you guys?

Ahhhh congratulations on your little lady!!

Sounds painful but worth it!

We've said hes going to be an only child because ive struggled so much with his sleeping🥲

I found just a normal pillow was more comfortable but i only had stitches and grazes, no bruising really! So i can imagine a donut pillow will help so much with your coccyx!

It sounds like you're both doing well considering the circumstances!
9 pound 5 sounds like a beautiful weight! Chunky monkey😍😍
I was hoping for an 8/9 pounder but he came out at 7 pound 4😅

So glad to hear we've all got our beautiful babies!🩷💙

InvisibleDragon · 10/12/2025 14:44

Congratulations @Bellabubble , lovely news!!

Jennie1985 · 10/12/2025 15:58

Congrats @Bellabubble ! Wonderful news 😚

Bellabubble · 10/12/2025 16:48

@LER2023 what was scary size wise for me, is that she was always just below the 50th percentile right up to my 36 week scan (where she was 6lb 1), then they did one on my due date and she had shot up to 8lb 11, add another week and 3 days and she became 9lb 5 😂 my placenta was huge too - they don’t normally weigh them, but the midwife was like “I need to weigh that!” And it was 1.3kgs! Apparently that can happen when you have anaemia. Between bubba, placenta, the blood and amniotic fluid going in the space of 6hrs, I felt a lot lighter than I have done in months!

The newborn sleep deprivation is pretty crazy - I forgot how irritable they get as the milk hormone rises through the night - sooo tired! 😴

Ahhh my baby never got any milk. He wouldnt latch but he was mainly using my nipple as a pacifier..😐 not the intention🤣

My cord was tiny!! And placenta they never really mentioned anything about it just how crazy small my cord was. I remember the words 'im surprised he was able to move around in there!'🤣

I keep saying sleep deprivation is a form of torture. My SIL kindly stayed at our house to look after him during the night so i could get some sleep😅
I didnt agree to it but my DP said she had to because hes poorly and im not sleeping at all😅
