Hi all! Didn’t see an August thread yet so here we go.

I got my BFP today and my EDD is 2nd of August next year.

I’m 37 and this is my second baby, I have a son who’ll be 2 next month.

Got my 3+ and I think that's now me done testing (she says...)

We have a private scan booked just before Christmas, I haven't heard from anyone after my self referral almost 2 weeks ago.
Thinking of calling them tomorrow, how long did everyone have to wait for their booking appointment?

Hi Everyone! This is my 1st pregnancy, due date around 30th July/ 1st Aug. I have my 12 week scan around mid Jan, but I booked a private one on the 23rd of Dec for peace of mind. I did have an ultrasound at around 4.5 weeks as I had some abdominal pain and my GP told me to go to the hospital where they discovered a small cyst from the ovary I ovulated last, but was able to see a tiny sac with nothing in it as it was way too early but at least it's in the right place as my GP thought it was an ectopic pregnancy because of the pain.
I look forward to keeping in touch with all mums to be on this group xx

2 weeks is a long time @Parks17, it would probably be worth giving them a call? I said I was done testing last week but I really want a digital now! Congrats on your 3+ 🥳

Congrats and welcome @Tara033 ♥️ I have a private scan on 23 December too. I’m loving that it’s a busy time of year and the wait doesn’t feel so bad!

This will be my first, so definitely excited and nervous in equal measure!

Tested positive on 19th Nov, with our due date probably around 2nd Aug, but with slightly variable cycles it's a bit of a guess at this stage. Using the NHS calculator and LMP I'm 6+3 today, but only 5+1 if adjusting for my late ovulation date. Do people think like that or should I just stick with the NHS calculator date?

Does anyone else feel like their stomach has just ballooned suddenly around this time? Not really got too many other symptoms beyond the bloat. Have had the 2-3 weeks on the CB digital last week, so hoping to see a 3+ from Wednesday onwards fingers crossed.

I’m also 5 weeks tomorrow! Funny how we both have “Lulu” in our user names 😂 also my first pregnancy. My sleep is also broken due to cramps. I think it could just be gas. Unless it’s causing you alot of pain, I don’t think there’s anything to worry about.

How is everybody else getting on? I am fighting for my life every day at work. I haven’t told anyone yet (obviously) but I am EXHAUSTED. Only symptoms I have now are slightly sore boobs. First midwife appointment is on New Year’s Eve. So tempted to book an early scan for when I’m 8 weeks!

I got my BFP yesterday, after 5 years of fertility treatments, it's the first time I have been pregnant.

I cried, a lot!

We used donor sperm due to male factor fertility issues, and it's been a whole saga for us with the NHS, before finally switching to private IVF treatment.

I just couldn't believe it (still can't) - I was beginning to think that I couldn't get pregnant, even though I am a healthy mid-30's women (the issue was with my DH).

Anyway hello and I am VERY happy to be here, at last!!! 🤗

Thanks for the responses @Emelene & @Lulu89x, it feels quite reassuring to know I’m not the only one. It’s not a symptom I was expecting and hopefully it doesn’t persist for too long! Hope you are both doing ok ☺️

@Parks17 congrats on your 3+! I did a digital yesterday morning with my second wee of the day and it came up as 2-3 weeks. I hope it just means I ovulated a couple days later than I thought, as I thought my conception date was exactly 3 weeks ago! Hoping it’s nothing to worry about. Not sure if I should buy another or just wait for my private scan on Dec 22nd.

Uncertain news from me I’m afraid. I’ve got spotting and pain, so my GP has arranged an EPU scan for Wednesday morning. I got my 3+ weeks this morning on the pregnancy test. I’m struggling to know what to think and manage the uncertainty. I want this baby so much. 💔

i’m 4 wk 4 days now - every night since finding out cramps are waking me up in the middle of the night! Its like a sharp period cramp (not as painful as mine usually are) but i’m a little worried as they tend to be more on the left side of my belly button and sometimes gravitate to my hip. Not feeling sicky yet, quite tired, boobs beginning to get more sore! Still doing hcg tests and can see the progression of colour each day from 9dpo>17! So exciting! I just hope they are ok in there and this cramping / left side isn’t ectopic or anything :( no bleeding or spotting xx

Tentatively joining! Somewhere between 5w4d and 6w2d depending on LMP and ovulation. Got my 3+ on a digital on Saturday so going to stop testing now! All being well this will be my 2nd baby with this one due the same week as my DD turns 3! So far have had some nausea which has been massively improved with cyclizine from the GP, have been extremely fatigued, slightly sore boobs and very thirsty! Got a private scan booked for the 14th so keeping everything crossed. I am still in touch daily with the other mums on our WhatsApp group from a mumsnet due date board with my first pregnancy so hopefully this will go the same way!

Welcome to all the newbies, hopefully all our babies stick 🥰 I'm only 5 weeks but am due in for an early scan this week given my previous ectopic. I'm hopeful this embryo is in the right place as I've had no pain or spotting, unlike the last time, but I obviously don't know for sure. I know I won't see a heartbeat but hopefully they'll be able to provid reassurance that it's not in the wrong place at least 🤞

@MrsLRT how bad was the nausea for you to get prescribed cyclizine? I'm really struggling but haven't actually been sick. I feel constantly like I'm suffering from a really bad hangover and debating having to tell work so that I don't have to travel so much (I work in the office 3 days a week which is a horribly long commute of 1.5hrs+) the 2 days from home I'm struggling but at least I can suffer alone and don't have to put on a brave face. I'm dreading the Xmas jollies that are planned in the next few weeks.

It maybe won't have updates yet as I took it 3 weeks and 1 day after estimated conception

@Parks17 I took a cheapie test and got my first dye stealer after that digital so I don’t feel too worried anymore. The scan doesn’t feel too far away and I’m getting more and more bloated!

It's so frustrating because I understand they'll be flooded with self referrals but also it seems like literally no progress at all!

Im gonna give them a call tomorrow and ask for an update so I'll let you know what they say

I’m so bloated I already look about 4 months gone, it’s hilarious!

@Parks17 @OneGladTiger I was pleased I heard back so quick but 6th Jan feels like forever away!!

@Workingmammabear not really bad at all, I had had a few days of low level nausea then a bit of heaving at certain smells - booked a GP appointment and our lovely ANP gave me 4 weeks of cyclizine no problem and said to come back if it wasn't working - all I said was it was a low level constant nausea and she was more than happy to prescribe!

From when I made the self referral, took them around 1.5-2 weeks for the midwife to get in touch but few days before that happened, I looked on the nhs app and saw my 12 week scan has been already booked for Jan. I have a private scan just before Christmas.
Takes a while but I would contact them by the end of the week if you don't hear anything. Hope it doesn't take too long.
