Hi all! Didn’t see an August thread yet so here we go.

I got my BFP today and my EDD is 2nd of August next year.

I’m 37 and this is my second baby, I have a son who’ll be 2 next month.

Anyone else not had progression on clear blue weeks indicator? I’m 5+4, I know when I ovulated due to tracking, had my bfp on 16/12, clear blue 1-2 on 18/12, then 2-3 on 25/12, tested again today and not progressed past 2-3 😞 I’ve had recurrent miscarriage so I really hope history is not repeating, I’ve got scan at epu on Saturday morning and based on this results I don’t know if I should expect to see much?

hi guys hope everyone is ok I spent nye sitting in front of the toilet bowl projectile vomiting it was just awful I've been taking ondansetron but the vomiting sometimes creeps up on me out of nowhere like last night. Feeling super exhausted but no vomiting today at least. I will be 10 weeks tomorrow, the constant nausea is really wearing me down and making me bed bound. Also the constipation from ondansetron is unbearable and causing thrombosed piles its so so painful I can't lay flat! Had to pinch my nose and drink diluted laxido fast which helped with bowel movements but then I threw up 20 mins later. Hoping I feel better soon, anyone else suffered with any of these symptoms? If so, what is helping you? Sending everyone hugs and much love 💐💐💐

@strawberrylaces12 ahh thank you that is reassuring. I keep thinking I'll feel better too after Friday but it's just another milestone you're waiting to hit then isn't it!

I think keeping it all between the two of us is becoming increasingly difficult too the more I stress 🤦🏼‍♀️

I am v similar to you dates wise - 5+5 I think. I haven't let myself take another weeks indicator after the 2-3 I had on the 22nd because I read a thread on here with several people saying they hadn't ever had 3+. Their babies were fine! So most likely yours is too 😊(though I appreciate that's easy for me to say and much harder for you when you've had recurrent miscarriage - so sorry for your losses...). Fingers crossed for your scan on sat.

@Mielbee i regret taking it this morning, I also did it with 2 morning urine rather than 1st, but was still pretty concentrated as I’d not had a drink. I’m in two minds now whether to repeat it tomorrow or Friday or just wait for scan on Saturday. I’m also only feeling symptoms of sore boobs and tiredness which doesn’t help and I’m definitely doing 2+2=5 in my head 😞

@Mielbee Please don’t worry there’s loads of info online about how the range for hcg between 2-3 & 3+ is absolutely huge and some people never get a 3+ and have very healthy pregnancies. Also if your dates for ovulation/implantation are even a couple of days out each it makes a huge difference. If you’ve got a scan on Saturday I’d definitely hold out for that, it’ll give you far more info and reassurance than any test can. It’s so hard I know!

@caramelcappucino I’m sorry you’re suffering so much. I’m finding it pretty grim too but have started to have a few more bearable days thrown in so hoping in 2/4 weeks it’ll lift. I’m 10 weeks Friday so at the same stage and have spent the last month barely moving from bed or sofa or the bathroom floor. It’s been pretty rough so I really feel for you. I’m on cyclizine but it doesn’t do much. I’ve never suffered from constipation before and am really struggling with it now. I was thinking of getting some Lactulose but if you recommend Laxido I might try and get that. Just hang in there, the days will pass one way or another and it will be worth it. Is this your first baby? It is mine and I’ve been surprised at how hard the first trimester has been. Brutal but hopefully in the next few weeks it will lift.

@greentree16 I’m 10 weeks on Friday and still massively anxious. I thought it would ease when I had a scan at 7+5 and it did for about a day! Not helped by the fact I still don’t have a date for my 12 week scan but I’m just ticking of the days and telling myself “today I’m pregnant”. I also found the stats page that @strawberrylaces12 posted really helpful. Would check in every few days and see the odds going up.

@strawberrylaces12 Yes I get this pain when I sneeze and if I stand up too quickly! I looked it up and I think it’s round ligament pain?

Ladies, not that I want anyone else to suffer too, he I have found tna see stories of sickness quite reassuring. I was absolutely fine (aside from lack of appetite and a little queasiness here and there) until Monday, but since then I just haven’t been able to stop vomiting. Feel horrendous. I’m a teacher so off school this week, but genuinely terrified at the thought of going back next week.

I was just coming on here to say the same. I was nauseous until Boxing Day night when I vomited and have felt like I’ve been holding it back until today when I’ve felt dreadful all day and have vomited 3 times. I was started on cyclizine (anti sickness) and it’s still awful 😵‍💫. I don’t think the dehydration is helping but I feel so so sick when I eat or drink anything. Hoping yours passes soon! How many weeks are you? I’m around 7 weeks (unsure exactly because of different cycle lengths). This is my 3rd pregnancy so having two children at home to entertain isn’t helping the exhaustion 😵‍💫 x

Sorry to read that you’re struggling so much too! I didn’t feel like the cyclizine was helping either but didn’t take my second dose today as I was scared I’d throw it back up and I’ve felt 100% worse this afternoon so maybe it’s doing something! 🙈. I hope yours eases soon x

Aw as much as you love them I’m sure it’s so tricky with other children around, sending love! I’ve just got a cat to entertain but luckily she’s happy snuggling up next to me, less happy when I suddenly leap up and reach for the sick bucket!
Im 8 weeks so very similar to you ☺️ and same with eating, my boyfriend keeps trying to get me to eat crackers and apples and drink water but I just don’t want any of it. Yesterday I managed one apple and one slice of pizza all day, today I’ve done six crackers and an apple. And I’m normally a very hungry lady!

Those who are on anti sickness meds - how sick do you have to be to be able to get them? I’ve not actually been sick yet, but have constant mild nausea, which will get stronger at points in the day and I have to just lay down. It’s making me fairly miserable and with a toddler to look after it’s quite tough. Not sure I’m sick enough, but also don’t know how I’ll cope with weeks more of feeling like this, especially as it could get stronger.

@Row23 I have just had nausea (no actual throwing up this time) and got anti sickness meds from my GP. Please don't suffer through just because you feel it isn't that bad, you don't have to! Your nausea sounds similar to mine.

Thank you, I just feel so awful for being so pathetic and not being able to do anything! This is how I felt in my first pregnancy though so wondering if it’s another boy! Aww I think animals sense when things are different too with their humans! I’m glad she’s looking after you 🥰.
It’s incredible how it takes all hunger away! I’m a very hungry lady normally too 🤣. I’d love to eat a nice crunchy apple but I’m terrified of being sick straight after and the pain that would cause!

I agree with @Moosey898. I had mine prescribed before it became too bad because I knew from my past two pregnancies that it was only a matter of time. I was worried they wouldn’t give me any but he did and he said if it doesn’t help to call back. There are so many safe anti sickness medications that can be used in pregnancy.

@Row23 I went at 7 weeks before I’d started vomiting because the nearly constant nausea was unbearable and I couldn’t function. Like others have said, don’t suffer do see your GP.

I don’t have nausea in my stomach but I think it’s the metallic taste in my mouth which is so overwhelming at times that it makes me feel sick, I was fine until I hit 7 weeks and now I have moments where I feel horrendous!

I’ve also been having left sided twinges, has anyone had that ? I can’t remember it in my previous pregnancies. But I do have a viability scan tomorrow to hopefully relax me into knowing it’s not an ectopic 🤣

Feeling worried this morning 😔

I found out on boxing day with a 2-3 on CB digital. Just done another one a week later and got 2-3 again.

I have PCOS so no way to know how far along I should be because my cycles can be anything from 4 weeks to 4 months.

Any hope for me?

The metalic taste is gross isn't it. I seem to get it most at night or in the morning, when I'm in bed anyway.

I've had right sided twinges on and off, had my scan on Monday and in the right place thankfully. I think I read that potentially if you ovulated from the side you're getting the twinges it could be the corpus luteum working to provide the progesterone but who knows. I know I ovulated from the right side as I had ivf and it was a frozen embryo transfer so they tracked ovulation to fit it with my natural cycle. Sending you lots of positive vibes for the scan tomorrow! I didn't sleep well at all the night before worrying loads but it was all okay 😊

I had the same, it stayed at 2-3 a week later. I thought about testing again a few days later but I think I would have spiralled if it hadn't moved on so I just resisted. Had my 7 week scan on Monday and all was fine, saw the heartbeat and actually measuring a couple of days ahead. The week indicator is great for giving a rough idea if you have irregular cycles but trying to use it to track progression doesn't seem to be the most helpful, I read lots of posts on here with people saying they had experienced the same and most had good outcomes 😊

Yeah we're a same sex couple so always knew we'd need to go through fertility treatment but our journey ended up being longer and more complicated than we expected! After 6 IUIs didn't work we went onto IVF and our first round was a complete failure, 19 eggs and none fertilised - a huge shock. Then the second round with a few things tweaked ended up with 7 embryos, a fresh transfer that didn't work and then a frozen one that did! Got 5 embryos in storage for any future sibling rounds hopefully 🤞 I'm 7 and a half weeks, 8 weeks this weekend eek! How about you? Xx
