Just curious to know what age people had their last baby .. and did you know that you were done with kids?

I was 33. And yes I knew I was done.

bracemyselfagain · 09/10/2024 22:41

Bump

I've nothing really to add but I want to follow the thread; I'm 35 contemplating a third ...

BeachRide · 09/10/2024 22:42
  1. Definitely done Smile
crackfoxy · 09/10/2024 22:42
  1. Only ever wanted 2
PiggieWig · 09/10/2024 22:44

I was 29. I thought I’d have a third and was super broody in my early 30s but it didn’t work out relationship wise so I got a cat instead 😻

Milkand2sugarsplease · 09/10/2024 22:44

38 for our second. Definitely knew I was done!!! Pregnancy was harder second time around. Emergency section almost killed me. Tail end of covid ruined mat leave and baby never stopped screaming!! No way did I want to try any of that for a third time!! 😹

PutOnYourRedShoesAndLetsDance · 09/10/2024 22:45

My 2nd. Eight years between 1ST and 2nd..due to Endometriosis/ PCOS./ Ectopic and only one tube and ovary.
Had total hysterectomy a year later.. so knew was my last.

Summertimer · 09/10/2024 22:50

One and only at 43. I would never have considered trying in my 20s, but might have liked to be closer in age to the average mum in our borough - circa 36

SaffaIrish · 09/10/2024 22:50
  1. Second child (third pregnancy). We knew it was our last. We wanted two. Just as well, had a hysterectomy a year later.
maudelovesharold · 09/10/2024 22:50

3rd at 45 (nearly 46). I didn’t contemplate a 4th child, even though a doctor at the hospital was at pains to reassure me that having a Caesarian at my age needn’t stop me having another baby!

MonsteraMama · 09/10/2024 22:52

16 🙃

One and done and still sure of it now she's 16 herself.

ChiefEverythingOfficer · 09/10/2024 22:52

3rd child at 33. Definitely done.

Gingerisgoodforyou · 09/10/2024 22:53

Swcond at just turned 41. Would have loved to try for another but dh wasn't keen. Wish we'd started sooner so I was younger now, I'm really feeling my age at 50.

Notamum12345577 · 09/10/2024 22:53

23

Twoshoesnewshoes · 09/10/2024 22:54

Third at 29, yes definitely knew I was done though I was/am delighted with three

TENSsion · 09/10/2024 22:54

3rd at 34

Not sure if we’re done

CatsandDogs22 · 09/10/2024 22:54

2nd and 3rd (twins) at 32.

Yes I definitely knew I was done. Never wanted more than 3, didn’t love being pregnant and the twin pregnancy was very hard on my body.

Hasn’t stopped me occasionally wondering who my 4th would be/what it would be like with 4 etc. But it has never been a serious consideration.

StressedQueen · 09/10/2024 22:54

5th child at 31. 6 years later and I am definitely done

Tarkan · 09/10/2024 22:54

26 and I knew I was done.

But then I split up with my DC's dad and later met and married my now DH. We had talked about having a baby together but it never happened. I'm 43 now and we've come to peace with the fact that it wasn't meant to be for us. DH is a great stepdad and we like the freedom we have now they're 20 and 16.

mrsed1987 · 09/10/2024 22:54

36, 2 and done. Had my first at 31.

StudioCreate · 09/10/2024 22:55

First at 17, last at 42.

KohlaParasaurus · 09/10/2024 22:55

34, and I wasn't at all sure I was done. I remember discussing a posterior vaginal wall repair with a gynaecologist when my youngest was a toddler and she advised me to wait as I wasn't sure I wouldn't be giving birth again.

Apollo365 · 09/10/2024 22:56

My third I was 30 and very much done!!!

Buzzer3555 · 09/10/2024 22:56

42 definitely last

Enko · 09/10/2024 22:58
  1. I never felt "done" but dh was very much so.
