How old were you when you had your last baby?

Just curious to know what age people had their last baby .. and did you know that you were done with kids?

Same but I was 34.

Second and last at 34. First at 32. No desire for any more and I'm fifty now, no regrets.

Second at 30, felt very different after and really didn't want to be pg again (whereas after 1st I was ready to go again fairly quickly). Had a brief wobble when youngest was 4ish but it passed. DH had the snip instead

I was 33, we always said we wanted 2 or 3 but it never felt like the right time for a 3rd, and when my youngest got to around 4 I knew I was done and didn't want any more

I had a c/section, tubal ligation and apronectomy in one go! I don't think my obs would get away with that now!!

A hysterectomy is a bigger deal though and would need careful consideration!

You never know, maybe this pregnancy will help with the period side of things! I had really painful periods until I had my DC1. I had my DC3 when I was 40, and didn't have another period until he was about 19 months. They were regular for a bit then, but they just petered out!

Fascinating thread, and totally at odds with the one a few days ago in which a 42 year-old woman was told she was 'extremely unlikely' to get pregnant!

32, thought i was done at 22 but surprise baby! Lol i am definitely done! Going to get sterilised as soon as baby will take a bottle lol xx

5th at 35.

37 now and still wonder if I should fit in one more, I'd love to but I'm terrified of pushing our luck. So many people I know are struggling with children with disabilities, autism etc and I just know that with 5 children already, we couldn't cope with a child with major additional needs.

35 if all goes well with this pregnancy. It'll absolutely be my last all going well, even though I've already been asked if I want to try for a third (to get the opposite sex I won't have 🙄). Of course I could not feel done after my birth but I'd be very surprised as I feel like I am so done after this pregnancy so strongly already. There's a nice feeling of being at peace with your decision when you know you're done I think.

This is exactly how I feel - about pushing my luck.

I was 32. Done the moment she was born 😃 such a good feeling. Like, we can get on with things now :) 25 and 27 when I had the other 2. Didn’t rush anything, savored it all, happily done with it. I LOVED being pregnant and having newborns, ahh :)
Shes 2.5 now and upstairs refusing her nap. Trying to see the good in the nap days being over too 😅

Thank you for this. So often I see the cliche "Nobody ever regrets having another child" and I always roll my eyes at how obvious that is. It's nice to have some balance with your honesty here.

Had mine at 39, 40, 43 and 47. All naturally conceived!

1st at 21 (she's now 18)
2nd at 35 (she's now 3.5)

I don't feel done at all, I have a nagging sense of wanting one last one but I'm 40 next year so I just don't think it's going to happen for me ☹️

40 baby number 5 and yes i was finally done and completely content

I did toy, briefly, with the idea of another but decided to quit while ahead

30 with my 3rd and I knew I was definitely done so I was sterilised which pissed off DH as he would’ve liked one more, no thanks.
First one born when I was 23, second born when I was 27.

Had my last at 35, he's 2 now and he's number 6. Unsure if I'd like another. Couple times I have miscarried one after the other but there we are. I also think I'm beginning an early peri menopause too.

37. First and last. More than happy with just the one.

I didn't feel finished despite having 2 always dreamed of a third. Now I'm 31 weeks with my miracle! 37yrs old now! Always wanted 3!

3rd and last baby at 33

Having my second at 35.5 which feels too old for me personally - this pregnancy has kicked my arse. Feeling so, so done with this pregnancy chapter, thank God, and relieved to be saying goodbye to it as lovely as it was. Must be tough when torn about having another.
