Just curious to know what age people had their last baby .. and did you know that you were done with kids?

I was 28. But he was my 6th baby, 7th pregnancy.

36 now and theres absolutely no way on earth I'd even consider another.

No, I didn't feel like I was done at this ones time of arrival, high on birth and newborn hormones, but I also didn't want to rush into another pregnancy given the toll it takes on ones body. As it is, as baby grew and the bond between siblings blossomed, I increasingly felt at peace with this being my last baby. I adore the family of 4 that we have, the status quo and the love between us all, and I feel that now, given the age of me and DH, bringing another new life into being is a big risk on rocking the calm and loving boat we have. It's hard to describe but I have no question of doubt in my mind that this is my last baby. Totally different feeling to when this baby arrived and nothing has changed in terms of circumstances (jobs, housing, finances etc). Baby ages are 4 and almost 2.

Had my final baby just before my 30th birthday

And no, I wasn't sure, but a friend's baby was diagnosed with a serious chromosomal abnormality a few months later and that decided me: no more.

29 for baby 3. Knew by the end of the pregnancy that I definitely didn’t want to do it again. He is 1 now and a delight but we’re definitely still done. Waiting for the all clear from DH’s vasectomy.

  1. Baby number 2. Just knew we couldn't afford another and I didn't have the energy. 47 now and no regrets.

Similar here. We had a diagnosis at the 20 week scan and the possibility of a chromosomal abnormality. Felt like more would very much be pushing our luck. In fact, this second pregnancy already does. I had my final scan etc and breathed a huge sigh of relief as I ticked it off mentally. It felt such a milestone.
