I have just found out I am expecting baby number 2 and my due date is 1st May.

Has anyone else found out they are expecting and looking for some company?

@ShortWide I'm ok so far today. My sickness tends to be late afternoon into the evening. It just feels like a hangover though. I am also sooo tired no matter how much I sleep

Hi everyone, I have tested postive, first pregnancy, and am about 3-4 weeks. It was our third cycle of trying and it hasn’t sunk in but I am over the moon!

Already had some nausea and VERY sore boobs. But the thing I’m struggling with the most is not talking about it!!! I am so desperate to share the news but my sensible head knows it’s not a good idea at this moment. So I’m saying it on here
😁

My due date is 24th May ❤️

Congratulations!

Oh my word I was reading your post thinking i could have typed it. In the exact same boat! Also my first and also took 3 months TTC. My due date according to the apps in 21 May. I’m 4w2d today!

Boobs are really sore but better today and had my first waves of nausea / loads of saliva yesterday. Dying to tell people but think we will wait another week or two maybe after an early scan to tell family & close friends. Hubby is keen to wait. I’m thinking if anything does happen I want a support system. But let’s see. Feeling very positive generally and over the moon excited.

ShortWide · 13/09/2024 11:20

@Blossomofhope I feel like a drama queen but I definitely retching and gagging with no warning the past three days. Hmm.

Hello, pregnant with my third. Huge, but very much welcome, shock. Due around the 20th May.

First baby was the result of treatment for infertility, second baby was a welcome surprise, and now the third is too! Unbelievable.

Nervous about the logistics; our house already feels full with two (and where do the car seats go with three children?!!) but I'm excited and looking forward to seeing another little face.

Congratulations! Same here, my husband has started booking house viewings but we can't really afford to move from our small 3 bed! And the car! No idea! We gave away all our baby stuff after our second child thinking that was it, so have to start from scratch 😬

Also I posted before saying I was feeling pretty rough and this has only got worse! I've lost 3kg in a week and feel so ill. All day nausea with intermittent vomiting 🤢 I know it's a special time but I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself too 😞

holdmydrinks · 14/09/2024 07:16

Anyone else still testing almost daily? Cant wait for my scan (4 long weeks away) to reassure me.
I've got terrible insomnia too which isn't helping my exhaustion.

Congratulations to you too.

We have a few things left from the baby stage, but not much. It's definitely a logistical stress at this point in time. My husband would want to move too, but I like our house. We just need to figure out the space.

Be kind to yourself. Pregnancy can be tough on the body. With my last two, sickness (HG) and SPD both started early doors, so I'm expecting a rough ride but hoping for a smooth one!

Hi first was planned. Second was happy surprise and third was happy surprise. It'll work out. I'm only in 2 bed but already worked out space. My bedroom is massive. Oldest 2 can share that. The small room I can share with baby. When older the 2 same sex can share the big room and other child can have the small one. I'll sleep in the sitting room. Have a sofa bed. With the car my partners can fit 3 car seats luckily. 2 in the back and one in the front and I can sit in the middle. You don't always need a bigger car.x

I'm definitely more tired this time around x

How’s everyone today? I was very nauseous this morning but at work now and all quiet.

Hope everyone is well.

I'm just tired and having a lot of cramping. It stresses me out but I know its normal. Just everything stretching and growing x

Poster57 · 14/09/2024 10:35

I think I originally posted in the other thread. I’m about 6 weeks with our third but found out super early at 10dpo. Planned and excited but now that the nausea has kicked in the anxiety is too! Hormones are not my friend! Just trying to turn off that unhelpful voice in my head :) So happy to see others expecting their third on this thread as well.

Hello and congratulations♥️!!

I found out I was pregnant 3 days ago, due 1st May. We miscarried our first baby and I am so terrified and anxious 😫

Also looking for some company from people in the same boat. Does anyone have an instagram account? Looking to follow other Mumma’s journies ♥️

Hey! I'm new to all this, Last week I found out I'm pregnant with my 1st, Had a miscarriage about 4 months ago and my anxiety is really bad today, Just wondering if there's anything anyone know that can help?

I wish I had advice or guidance to offer. Be kind to yourself, build in self-care. Try to remember that the risk of miscarriage reduces each day and that each pregnancy is so different.

Herewegoagain8 · 15/09/2024 16:40

How long did it take for everyone to get their booking appointments through and was it a phone call or letter? I registered the pregnancy on my pregnancy notes a week and a half ago and not heard anything yet. I’m just a bit anxious to get it on record as my last pregnancy was considered high risk and I had to be referred to the fetal medicine unit early on.

I got a notification on the NHS app and a letter in the post 2/3 days later but it did say could take up to two weeks so I think just depends on how busy they are. Maybe give them a call in the morning and explain the situation? X

Did you self refer on the hospital website? I had my appointment booked in the day after I filled in the form online but the letter came about a week later. I only saw the online booking as I had registered previously so already had an account otherwise I wouldn’t have known until I got the letter.

I could have written this exact message so I know how you’re feeling. It is hard but try to just take each day as it comes. I’ve also not spent much time reading forums on Flo etc this time round because you always come across comments that just make you anxious. Congratulations ☺️

In my trust the way to self refer is by registering on my pregnancy notes online. I already had an account as this is my 7th pregnancy (several losses). I’m sure last time I heard back pretty quickly but I’ve heard nothing this time so just a bit concerned. The hospital website just takes you to the pregnancy notes referral form. I’m not even sure who to call next week if I don’t hear anything! All being well this will be my third child so I thought I’d be a bit more clued up 🤣
