I have just found out I am expecting baby number 2 and my due date is 1st May.

Has anyone else found out they are expecting and looking for some company?

❤️❤️

@teatoast8 congratulations! You'll be great! What age are your first two? X

Thank you. They're 2 and 8 months 😊 x

Hi, I am on the other May 2025 group but spied there was a fb group going. When I click on the link it's not working so what's the best way to join?

BlueberryPoppy123 · 05/09/2024 22:33

@BrodieKD same as me found out 8dpo (I think) 6 weeks tomorrow for me and have our first scan. Feel like I've known forever 😂 too much anxiety to wait until 8 weeks for a scan.

@Sunflower2244 the link doesn't work if you go back through the comments someone I forgot who but on the previous page said about pm-ing them your email so they can invite you. I had to copy and paste the email URL into my browser though as even the link in the email wouldn't work 🙈

It's me, I set up the group:) glad you were able to join in the end. The invite link was working for most people, real strange that there's a few it won't work for!

Not working for me. Takes me to Facebook, just not the group

omghavingababy · 06/09/2024 07:57

Hello everyone. Told myself I wasn't going to post until after an early viable scan but couldn't help myself ..

Found out at weekend we were pregnant due date I make myself to be is 12th May ☺️ I already have a 4 year old just started school! We have been trying for over a year and had 2 miscarriages, both suspected molar. So very nervous time until I have a scan which I will book via the EPU due to previous complications

But thank you @Beckatha for setting up the fb group. I had one for my daughter and it's honestly a god send. We kept the group small (around 80) the mums are lovely and we even still speak now nearly 5 years on , from everywhere over UK but I feel like I know them all 🥹 we do secret Santa every year and it's still a lifeline group for any issues or questions!

I fell pregnant in February this year and was in charge of the Facebook group (unfortunately miscarried) but I can confirm that the link is completely private, no one can see it and no one can see you've joined it
I also had lots of issues with the link "expiring" the same as you @Beckatha so well done for persevering

Good luck everyone, roll on May 2025

Dullblue1234 · 06/09/2024 08:07

I think if people click and don't join that counts as part of the 20 clicks!! So being a public forum, that could be gone in an instant 😂🙈
I know in our previous one, the girl just sent the link via private message, but I appreciate that's a lot of work x

Flick89 · 06/09/2024 09:00

Hi ladies. Hope you’re all well.

I’m 6+1 today and a little concerned as I have had no real nausea or sickness yet. Sorry for the TMI but I was actually vomiting several times a day by this point last time. Otherwise, my pregnancy has been really similar so I thought this would be the same. I am tired by I’ve a toddler so comes with that territory. I do feel bloated and all my tests are quickly positive. I’ve done far too many.

I think we’re going to go for a scan this weekend (they’re easy to book for the next day) but kind of terrified to book one and receive bad news, especially since it’s not an an NHS one. I’ve never had a miscarriage very luckily although many of my friends have and part of me has this intrusive thought my luck has run out and it’s my time now. It’s such a hard time as I’m trying to not get too attached to the idea of having another and check myself when I tell my little one they’ll be having a little sister or brother. (She can’t understand - I wouldn’t say if she was older and could.)

Anyone have any thoughts? Did you have different nausea and sickness patterns across pregnancies? Has your nausea also not started yet? If so, how many weeks and days are you?

Thanks all.

TheBeesKnee · 06/09/2024 09:13

@Flick89 congratulations!

I think every pregnancy is different so you can't really compare them. I had similar concerns last time about the lack of nausea and was soon eating my words when it kicked in with a vengeance. I was sick at least twice a day, couldn't stomach water, and once on a zoom call vomited into my glass (thankfully off camera).

This time around I have a little bit of nausea and I'm grateful that I'm still functioning.

verbenacosmos · 06/09/2024 10:46

Hi everyone,

So nice to join a group and share these experiences - quite a lonely time!

I’m 6 weeks today (due 2nd May apparently) and feel like the time has been moving at a snails pace! I have an early scan booked for next Friday at 7 weeks as I just can’t wait and the anxiety is getting the better of me.

This is my first time being pregnant. So far the nausea has not properly kicked in. I’ve noticed sometimes I do feel a bit bleurgh but not actually sick! It’s kind of different to how I expected to feel. Bloating and mild cramps definitely my key symptom.

I’ve requested to join the FB group so thanks for setting that up! Hope everyone is getting on okay and look forward to sharing this journey together :)

Beckatha · 06/09/2024 11:03

Have approved all of today's new member requests for the fb group :)
Got a bit confused for the minute, not sure which of you it is but saw another Rebecca Ryan that's my legal name haha

BrodieKD · 06/09/2024 12:55

@verbenacosmos congratulations! It can be such a lonely time...I feel like I've known for ages and I'm only 6+1. That's exciting about your scan. Mine is a week on Thursday and still feels ages away. That's great that you are feeling ok...that's how I feel too...it's kind of how I feel when I've got a migraine but without the sore head x

Thank you for putting this up, I've requested to join the group now.

My previous 2 fb groups have turned into WhatsApp groups and we still speak one almost 5 years later. I have also made friends for life from it, we have a separate group where we talk every day and meet up about twice a year for an adult only weekend and it's amazing.

BrodieKD · 06/09/2024 19:15

@Beckatha I've joined too! X
