@Cinai yes to the cramping/period pains! I'm 15+5 and it's still getting me. Seems to be a theme throughout for me sadly! Not sure if not helped by my age and being my first. My 40 year old body is the WTF is this 😅😅

malimoon · 06/04/2024 18:17

15+1 and not being sick (I haven't at all, lucky I know) but still feeling sick, consistently, every evening... And today have been having lower back pain @Cinai for the first time in a while.

My partner has been great so far doing all the cooking and loads of housework etc but yesterday he fractured his tibia 😫 waiting on a callback from fracture clinic this week (he got x rayed at urgent care) but might be weeks of him in a cast and on crutches... Much worse for him ofc as he's in pain and miserable but all of our pre baby jollies we have lined up for the next few months now looking a bit precarious hahaha. Oh well

YellowZ · 06/04/2024 21:33

Thanks @HRP1990 I hadn't looked at Isabella Oliver x

Totally agree with the hypnobirthing! I got through a long latent phase and to 8cm alone through just the breathing and having the positive mind set 💪🏻

Edited

Oh amazing 🥹 are you going to do a refresher course? Or are you confident you can remember it all and tune back in? I’m stuck in the middle, I think I might do another course just to make sure it’s all fresh in my mind. I still can’t believe how much it helped me, I thought it was BS when I had my first. And I thought “what I don’t know can’t hurt me”

…but it did indeed hurt me 🤣

HRP1990 · 07/04/2024 07:06

@Honeyandsunshine1 well, I still don’t believe I could ever breath a baby out lol. But the breathing did really help me to a certain extent! It were only 2 years ago for me, so I’ll probably ask Dr Google to provide me with what I’ve forgotten?

longingtobe23 · 07/04/2024 09:01

@Cinai I had cramps that floored me on Friday - I was bending down to tie my sons laces then as I went to get up I got sharp shooting both sides it hurt so much!
then also when I twist over in bed sometimes - but I do remember this from my son (ligament pain and stretching as they grow) I think I just hurt myself on the position I was in 🫠

I am going to ask midwife today!

Xur · 07/04/2024 09:11

@longingtobe23 I have exactly the same, at night I would turn too fast and it begins to hurt, it’s so weird!

Lillers · 07/04/2024 09:14

If I wasn’t pregnant, I’d have been running the Brighton Marathon today.

Instead, I’m eating half a pack of cookies to make up for the breakfast I threw up 🤷‍♀️.

Took a bump pic this morning, it’s really becoming a proper bump!

@Lillers wow wow 🤩 look at that bump! It’s definitely bumping!🥰

Lillers · 07/04/2024 09:28

Thanks @Xur! It’s definitely popped in the last week or so!

@Lillers oh wow that's such a lovely bump. I wish mine looked more bumpy, I still just look like I could be really bloated.

Those of you with children already, do you get dug in the boob my sharp little elbows/knees/shoulders on a daily basis or just me?? It's uncomfortable at the best of times but my boobs are so tender it's literally agony every time my DD accidentally does it (which is all the time 😣)

Lillers · 07/04/2024 09:45

@HolyMoly24 Thank you! It does depend what I wear but yes, it does seem much more bumpy these days!

malimoon · 07/04/2024 09:59

@HolyMoly24 I don't have littles but I do have cats who LOVE to trample on my sore pregnant boobs 🙃

HRP1990 · 07/04/2024 10:02

@Lillers what a lovely bump! We’re watching the Brighton Marathon today at a friends house, their road is closed as it’s part of the course!

@HolyMoly24 yes! My daughter climbs all over me, belly included 🙈 I’m constantly on guard in case she takes me by surprise.

Cinai · 07/04/2024 10:18

@longingtobe23 @Xur yes, I also get these sudden sharp pains when I turn in bed to quickly, or make another quick move…I even get them when I lay in bed and sneeze! I put these down to ligament pain.
I see the midwife on Tuesday and will mention the period-like cramps in my lower back. But since these are mild and others experience the same, I guess it’s just one of the many small pains and discomforts of pregnancy 😅

TripleESept24 · 07/04/2024 10:43

Thought I'd join the bump pics 😃

rupertbear91 · 07/04/2024 11:00

The bump pics are so cute! I just look fat still 😂 waiting for a 'cute bump' to arrive.

I can sympathise with the being bounced on our two little dogs keep standing on my boobs and it's blooming sore!

After yesterdays gender excitement it's back to reality of being back in hospital on fluids 😭 it's meant to be my family birthday gathering this afternoon and there are still some relatives coming we haven't seen yet and wanted to tell them about the baby. Really hoping I get sorted and out by mid afternoon 😔

YellowZ · 07/04/2024 11:21

@HolyMoly24 omg yes the toddler elbow to the boob 😬 he likes to smash his head into me as well. They keep saying at work I shouldn't be lifting stuff etc and I'm like please, I'm a human climbing frame most of the time/carting round a 15kg child when he's decided he doesn't want to walk to the park, after all.

@rupertbear91 sorry you're back in hospital x

longingtobe23 · 07/04/2024 11:29

I am very long in the body but I have a pouch popping out so far making leggings look unflattering haha! But I am still in my jeans and normal clothes…
however work clothes will go on Tuesday after 2 weeks off so I will see!

I didn’t show with my son until 5.5 months 🤷🏼‍♀️ wonder if girly will be hidden as well

is anyone waiting to tell work? I think I’ll be seeing if I can go to end of May or when I get my MATb1

Hey everyone!! My EDD is 25th of September!! I’m so excited to find out the sex if they can tell us at the NHS 20 week scan! Lots think it’s a boy and the skull theory seems to agree but some think the nub says girl - any guesses? The scan photo was from 13weeks 6 days ❤

SC126 · 07/04/2024 12:43

I'm impressed with these bumps. I think mine still gives off bloat.

longingtobe23 · 07/04/2024 12:58

@SC126 ah no that’s super cute! How far along now?

I just clicked my next appointment is JUNE! Lord heavens 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

LSW82 · 07/04/2024 13:01

@Lillers i also threw up my breakfast today - enjoy those cookies!!
lovely seeing all the bump pics , mine seems smaller today so must’ve been a bit of bloat 🤣

SC126 · 07/04/2024 13:28

@longingtobe23 im 18 weeks tomorrow. My next midwife appt isn't until last week of may too as less appointments with a second child. Couldn't believe how far away it is. Not long until 20 week scan though I suppose.
