Anyone else hit with bad pelvic pain? I do have an old hip injury so was expecting some problems but I have full on pelvic pain already and walking like a duck, and I'm only 15 weeks! I told my doctor and she wants to see me right away which has freaked me out a bit in itself! Haven't slept all night, seeing the dr in a few hours.

ForeverHopeful67 · 12/03/2024 12:11

Marking my place 😊 how crazy is it that there are October and November threads now too!!

Had my screening results through yesterday and all 1 in 5000 so low risk.

luckyfaith · 12/03/2024 12:11

@Lillers thank you for setting up the thread. Good luck to everyone with their appointments 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

luckyfaith · 12/03/2024 12:14

I also opted for the NHS screening even though I had the NIPT, mainly so they can check my Papp-a which was low for me in the last pregnancy.

cd24x · 12/03/2024 12:18

Here! No updates from me, still waiting on NHS screening results. They said up to 2 weeks and it's been a week so far...

Emmaev · 12/03/2024 12:25

I thought this the other day @ForeverHopeful67 i love seeing a new month thread because it means I’m progressing on

Hoping this week I might feel baby, I felt DD at 16 weeks and I’m 15+1 plus I keep hearing you’re meant to feel them earlier 2nd time round

longingtobe23 · 12/03/2024 12:30

@cd24x oh wow really for a 12 weeks scan! 2 week wait
my anxiety will be awful 🫣 I have had friends whose have come in 4 ish days and I was hoping for that haha and we’re going away so I won’t see the post - I hope they post results on Badger

my scan is Friday I should be 12+6 can’t wait to see how much they’ve grown since 10 weeks 😌

RosiePH · 12/03/2024 12:31

Thanks for the thoughts on papp-a and still having the combined even when you’ve already had a NIPT! I will insist on having it then, even if the sonographer says it’s not needed.

Has anyone taken lactulose in pregnancy? Fybogel has made me dry heave 3 times, and I cant bear to take it again!

Martibum · 12/03/2024 12:50

@Sydney1988 thank you so much! That's the kind of info I like to know beforehand. I find all the poking a bit daunting if I'm not expecting it. I knew my cervix would be checked but didn't know how exactly they would do it.

Honeyandsunshine1 · 12/03/2024 12:52

Hey gang ✨🩷

how is everyone feeling?

nothing much my end! Wild that my 16 week apt is next week 😳 Should also have NIPT back by then. I’m actually excited for the appointment as it’s with the midwife who helped me give birth to my second, so seeing a familiar face will be so good and definitely not something you usually get in London. I should be with her for the entirety of my midwife appointments should I stay low-risk 🥺🤞🏻

Really struggling with maternity clothes too. What was the final verdict on leggings? Ones that don’t go see-through…

Sydney1988 · 12/03/2024 12:59

@Martibum Totally know how you feel. I had no idea what to expect today. The swab was quite uncomfortable - exactly the same as you’d experience during a routine smear. The wand wasn’t too bad tbh. Didn’t poke far in at all and no pain. Hope yours goes well xx

tryingfortwo2 · 12/03/2024 13:03

@Emmaev I’m waiting daily to feel baby too, I’m 16 weeks today (size of a croissant, apparently) and felt DD at 18 weeks, with an anterior placenta. Hoping second time round and with a posterior this time, I’ll feel something soon. Keep occasionally concentrating and wondering if I just felt something 😂

Emmaev · 12/03/2024 13:09

@Honeyandsunshine1 my 16 week appointment is next week as well, feels crazy that it’s almost already here, I booked my 9 week appointment with her at 4 weeks and it feels like it’s flown but been so slow at the same time

@tryingfortwo2 i do the same, proper concentrating but I’m 99% sure it’s only ever gas haha

luckyfaith · 12/03/2024 13:28

I'm also on the hunt for non see through leggings so I'm following with interest! 😅

Cinai · 12/03/2024 13:58

Back from my 12 weeks scan, all went well 🌟 Measuring ahead again, officially I’m now 13+1 which is biologically impossible because that would put conception to Day 5 of my cycle and DH was away until Day 10, but the sonographer said not to worry.
For those that are into nub theory, any guesses? I have no idea what I’m even looking for.

Honeyandsunshine1 · 12/03/2024 14:16

How did we get this far so fast @Emmaev?! I want to meet them but for it to slow down too, I still haven’t bought one baby related item 🥲😂

@Cinai with my very limited knowledge, I want to say boy as there’s a white line pointing up, which could be the nub!

Also let me know if you find anything @luckyfaith 😭😂 I’m considering getting some fabletics maternity ones as I love their non-mat leggings, and they’re great fitting, butttt, not the cheapest 😬

Decaffe · 12/03/2024 14:42

Great to hear @Cinai!

I have just had my 12 week scan too, all ok! They’ve put me ahead by four days to 19th Sept but this would be a physical impossibility as it would have meant I ovulated on CD8, so similar story to you Cinai! However we know it’s a boy and I read that boys’ CRLs are longer than girls at 12 weeks so I’m going to guess you’re having a boy too!

My NT was 1.9mm which I think is good for 12 weeks so that was a relief too.

Decaffe · 12/03/2024 14:43

@luckyfaith if you could manufacture some genuinely opaque leggings you would very quickly be a very rich woman!

Cinai · 12/03/2024 14:52

@Decaffe I haven’t heard that yet, that’s another indicator for boy then. I also think boy, based on that my sister has 1 boy and 1 girl and my being sick/not being sick journey is exactly what she experienced with her boy.
Glad that your scan went well!

cd24x · 12/03/2024 14:55

@longingtobe23 yeah, it's the longest I've had to wait so far. At my booking in appt, my midwife booked my next 3 appointments, and I had my 20 week scan date letter middle of last week - 2 days after my 12 week scan! I guess the blood processing dept in my NHS trust are a lot slower than others!

nervouslyawaiting · 12/03/2024 15:05

Had my 12 week scan this morning, measured at 13+4. Was supposed to have it all last week but baby decided they didn’t want to play ball and even with all the jiggling about we had to come back again to get all the measurements. Had a lovely sonographer today so I’m kind of glad as it was a really positive experience (even though it gave me major anxiety not having a picture or the scan completed). Anyone had a tricky little one at scans?

tierneytarny · 12/03/2024 15:11

The exhaustion is real guys. I don’t feel like I am getting any let up. The nausea is coming in fits and bursts still too.

still another week to go until my 12 week scan. I wish it was this week!

WinsandSam · 12/03/2024 15:21

Hi all
My 12 week scan is on Friday when I'll be 12 + 4. Actually feeling really scared! Lovely to see you're all having good news and to see your little baby scans.
I've struggled with period type pains for the past week and on and off brown discharge. Called midwife and they said not to worry but it's hard not to.
Nausea is gone, boobs less painful, less tired. All making me feel worried. Decided to stay off work and rest until my scan.
Just hoping Friday goes well,
I had scans at 6 and 8 weeks with no issues and could see the heartbeat 💗
Just thinking the worst as symptoms have basically gone and have old blood discharge

Cinai · 12/03/2024 15:27

@WinsandSam It’s a worrying time, I was the same before my scan/NIPT at 11 weeks. Try not to worry too much though, symptoms fading is really normal after 10/11 weeks and brown discharge and some cramping also sounds ok. I had on-off light cramps during the past weeks. Wishing you all the best for the scan!

WinsandSam · 12/03/2024 15:41

@Cinai thank you for the reassurance. It's my first pregnancy which I never thought would happen.
It's hard to know what's normal and not normal.
I do remind myself some people had no symptoms at all in the beginning yet I felt bloody awful 😅 so it's just different.
I'm not freaking out and having a relaxing day!
