@Decaffe yes we are. I've been shopping with my mum today, I can't seem to stop now I've started with the buying 🤦🏼‍♀️🩷

@nervouslyawaiting pleased you've finally got your measurements. I didn't have to go back but my baby wasn't playing ball either and it took a long while to get them to stay still enough for measurements.

Ive sized up on Lovall leggings. Im really funny with fabric and hate anything that's not cotton/really soft. They're lovely and thick and the petite/short are just right for me at 5ft 5 (almost)

Lillers · 12/03/2024 16:24

Feeling pretty rough today. Was feeling shit this morning, so I got back in bed at about 11.30, and now I’m still here nearly 5 hours later. Only asleep for a couple of hours - since then I’ve just been playing on my phone and trying to decide what to eat, but the kitchen feels far away. I’m only signed off until the end of this week and have no idea how I’ll go back to work next week if I still feel even half like this.

@Lillers if it makes you feel any better I went back to sleep until 12. Then have been on the sofa watching tv/on my phone since. Also off work.
Take more time off if you need it! And don't feel bad for spending time in bed

Had my 12 week scan this morning, measured at 13+4. Was supposed to have it all last week but baby decided they didn’t want to play ball and even with all the jiggling about we had to come back again to get all the measurements. Had a lovely sonographer today so I’m kind of glad as it was a really positive experience (even though it gave me major anxiety not having a picture or the scan completed). Anyone had a tricky little one at scans?

Mine was upside the whole time and they found is suuuuper difficult to get measurements (especially the NT) I went for another scan a week later for my NIPT, and again, upside down. That scan was more for fun, than measurements or anything, but did mean the photos were fairly naff 😂

Did you manage to get photos today or was today simply measuremnts? X

Hi all
My 12 week scan is on Friday when I'll be 12 + 4. Actually feeling really scared! Lovely to see you're all having good news and to see your little baby scans.
I've struggled with period type pains for the past week and on and off brown discharge. Called midwife and they said not to worry but it's hard not to.
Nausea is gone, boobs less painful, less tired. All making me feel worried. Decided to stay off work and rest until my scan.
Just hoping Friday goes well,
I had scans at 6 and 8 weeks with no issues and could see the heartbeat 💗
Just thinking the worst as symptoms have basically gone and have old blood discharge

Sorry you’re feeling like this, the anxiety can be hellish can’t it 😔 If it’s any consolation, my symptoms were very on and off. I don’t think I ever even really got sore boobs? The rest definitely went in waves, which made me worried like you are. Regarding the bleeding, is there an EPU you can call/visit? Perhaps if you get seen before Friday you can get the all-clear and feel less on edge! 🩷

Honeyandsunshine1 · 12/03/2024 14:16

How did we get this far so fast @Emmaev?! I want to meet them but for it to slow down too, I still haven’t bought one baby related item 🥲😂

@Cinai with my very limited knowledge, I want to say boy as there’s a white line pointing up, which could be the nub!

Also let me know if you find anything @luckyfaith 😭😂 I’m considering getting some fabletics maternity ones as I love their non-mat leggings, and they’re great fitting, butttt, not the cheapest 😬

Apparently JoJo Maman Bebe's leggings are good. I might go in and try them on tomorrow.

luckyfaith · 12/03/2024 17:50

Decaffe · 12/03/2024 14:43

@luckyfaith if you could manufacture some genuinely opaque leggings you would very quickly be a very rich woman!

Haha, 💯, the number of posts I have seen on Mumsnet in relation to leggings! Definitely a gap in the market for some decent ones! 😅

YellowZ · 12/03/2024 17:50

Place marking! Thanks for the new thread. Will be back later to read the updates

It's so hard not to overthink and be anxious, especially if you've had brown discharge. I've also had it in this pregnancy but all seems ok. I'd say that probably most of us on here felt anxious and were worried before our 12 weeks scan. Not long until Friday when you get to see your little one 🤞🏼 ☺️

Lululemon align leggings all the way!

Kate543 · 12/03/2024 18:00

Just catching up on the thread congrats to those who had scans 😊

Xur · 12/03/2024 18:27

Hello everyone! I’m happy for the ladies who had their positive scans today🥳

@Cinai I think it’s a boy, because the profile looks similar to the picture from my scan and I feel like mine is a boy. So I will guess a boy for you aswell.

@Decaffe Yes! 1.9mm is good!👏🏻 My sonographer mentioned to me that up to 3,2mm is considered normal.

Caroline2023 · 12/03/2024 19:03

Marking my place.

Congratulations on the scans today @Decaffe @Cinai @nervouslyawaiting

I have my scan tomorrow 😬

Lululemon align leggings all the way!

Interesting! Are they quite “tight”? I don’t vibe with loose/cottony style ones

WinsandSam · 12/03/2024 19:13

@Honeyandsunshine1 thank you for replying. It is a worrying time!
I've spoke to both gp and midwife and both said no real point in going to the EPAU as I already have a scam Friday. So just to wait as even if something wrong there is nothing they can do. Which I totally understand.

Hoping for good news and another positive scan!

WinsandSam · 12/03/2024 19:15

@luckyfaith yes it is, so many symptoms are really discussed or known before you fall pregnant. It's reassuring to know you also had the same, our bodies probably trying to adapt.
I'll be relieved either way after Friday. Can't come quick enough!
Not panicking and having a few relaxing sofa days.

Yeah, totally fair, just seems unfair on you to sit with those worried feelings. I’m sure Friday will go wonderfully and I hope it the lovely positive experience you deserve. Keep us posted. Reach out if you need an ear 💛💛💛

Continuing with the leggings theme 😅...lots of people have recommended Lovall leggings. But some have mentioned that they bobble very quickly, would you say that's the case?

MudandMoet · 12/03/2024 19:57

Lovely to see your scan @Cinai I'm guessing girl

@luckyfaith I've not noticed any bobbling at all on mine - wonder if they're a different style which bobble - I just have the standard black, think they're usually about £30 which seems crackers for a pair of plain black leggings but they're definitely thicker than standard ones. I think their sizes are slightly on the small size but they fit nice and snug for a few days (3 maybe 4 🤦🏼‍♀️) easily

tryingfortwo2 · 12/03/2024 20:49

@luckyfaith I can’t comment on the leggings, but I bought lovall jeggings in my last pregnancy and lived in them. They’re more like jeans than leggings material wise, so wouldn’t bobble so can’t comment there. Got them out the attic and they’re good as new, so been wearing them again this time round. On that basis, as a brand I really rate them!

Whilst we’re on the legging chat.. has anyone been wearing maternity gym leggings they love? Assuming they’ll be different material than day to day ones. My usual are digging in now and I think I need to succumb to the maternity side..

RosiePH · 12/03/2024 21:11

Have heard good things about just sizing up the lululemon aligns. I usually wear a size M sweaty betty leggings and they feel okay just now, but I think I’m going to buy a size L over Easter. Will see how they do until I get a proper bump!

longingtobe23 · 12/03/2024 21:29

I am a bit legging obsessed due to spin and gym. And I do rate Lulu align with high waist super comfy on tum and so stretchy! I'm in my norm at the moment but I'll size up once I start growing. they are just expensive 😜

Sweaty Betty the 'all day' style I have found a bit short on my tummy but I am tall 5'8 and I got normal leg. The others I used for running are super tight so they don't fall when running and they're also digging slightly but still okay for gym not all day!

However - I was a legging snob back in the day pre 30 and pre kids when I could afford to splash whenever I wanted haha and I do rate the Amazon ones Instagram raves about the CRzYoga or whatever they're called! They also do maternity specific and I'll be trying those when I need and report back 🙂 I am nearly 13 weeks so behind some of you and no bump yet just a hard lower tummy hehe

@longingtobe23 @RosiePH good taste girls - I wore the sweaty Betty all day leggings to Pilates this evening and they kept falling down under my bump, they’re too tight now to sit high waisted.

I might try source the Lululemon aligns on Vinted.. what would you recommend size wise? I’m a S in sweaty Betty. Bit of a short arse too at 5”3!
