Anyone due in April part 4

Hey guys, new thread for the April due dates.

Looks like the other thread maxed out before someone could make a new one, so I'll tag a few people and then if they could tag a few and they tag a few and so on, so we can try and get everyone in.

There's no way I can get everyone tagged myself, it's a nightmare on mobile.

Looks like i managed to get the link in for this thread on the last one so no tagging needed hopefully (really thought the cap was 999 but apparently not).

Hope everyone is well x

Hope you’re all doing ok!! I’ve had my induction booked for 2 weeks time when I’ll be 39 weeks - I feel relieved that the end is in sight the thought of potentially another 5 weeks was getting me down as I’m honestly finding it difficult now!

Second time mum’s what were your warning signs in the week leading up to labour? I’m convinced I don’t have 2 weeks left in me 😂😂

Thanks for setting up the new thread! @XenaTheWarriorPrincess

Sorry maybe a bit TMI, but is anyone else at the moment finding that they feel like they are DESPERATE for a wee, like literally feel like they could burst, and then when they go it is the tiniest amount of wee actually comes out?

The only other time I’ve ever felt like this is when I’ve had water infections so I have been checked for that and everything is clear! The midwife said it must just be due to the baby’s position my bladder must literally be the size of a peanut so even the tiniest amount makes me feel like I’m going to wet myself but just wondering if anyone else has found this or just me🤣🥲

Yep @Mrsttcno1 me too. Its baby's position, I was told it was really common for the third trimester

If I stay sat on the toilet for a while, more dribbles out 😅

@Mrsttcno1 SAME! Constantly need the loo but it's worse when stood up/walking. I can feel the baby pressing on my bladder now though so know what it is. I feel him move and then like a sudden desperation to go to the loo. He was bouncing on my bladder all evening yesterday 🙈

Yep, very common...

I find gently applying pressure on my bladder helps get everything out... some women find that lifting their bump (if possible) helps, too.

Ahh at least it’s not just me then, sorry we’re all in the same boat ladies🥲

It’s so frustrating!

Is anybody else finding things really hard now?
I know I am so lucky to be pregnant and that baby needs to stay in as long as he can but I am just so fed up, achy, sore, tired and over it now.

35+1 today with 2 weeks left at work (can't go any earlier as I work term time so no annual leave as such and don't want to trigger earlier mat leave for financial reasons).

I just want to be in bed all the time at the moment! Second pregnancy. Mum to 1 DS4 already

@jeepjeep4 I'm a teacher so waiting to stop at Easter too! I'm 34+2 and have been really feeling it for the last few weeks. I'm getting to the top of the stairs and having to have a sit down to recover 🤣 I've got a 4 year old too and although she's been very helpful in many ways the demands and activities just never stop. I've stripped her bed today and now dreading huffing and puffing the sheets back on again. It's hard going, but we are nearly there!

Yes me too @jeepjeep4 ! Don’t get me wrong I’m extremely grateful to be pregnant and for a healthy growing baby, but it is all just getting a bit difficult now.

I am really grateful to be honest that my job is hybrid & flexible and that my manager is happy for me to work from home as much as needed at this stage because if I was having to get up and out of the house for 8 hours a day every day now I would definitely be thinking of starting my mat leave sooner.

As it stands I’m using annual leave to finish work at 38 weeks and I’m counting down the days🤣

I've already started my maternity leave and I'm very glad I did. Work was starting to stress me out.

Has anyone been over emotional lately? This morning I cried because of a joke DH made, and then 5 minutes later I was like nothing happened. I didn't have any mood swings until now, I'm 35 weeks.

I'm finding things extremely hard now as well and I'm only 32 weeks! Feels like I should be further along because of how hard everything is and how big my bump is!! Have another 3 weeks at work 😫

I was admitted to ward Wednesday night for more intense braxton hicks, they were coming every 5 minutes for 7 hours and some were so intense it made my whole body shake 😩 they treated me as threatened preterm labour and had to have steroids as was 35+5 (borderline for needing them) and meds to stop contractions. Cervix still closed and now been told if it continues I will be offered sweeps from 37 weeks. And induction at 39 if they fail...Does anyone know If sweeps are more successful in subsequent pregnancy's? This is my third 🙈 only going to go for the sweeps if I spend all week uncomfortable and needing pain relief though!

@Mrsttcno1 Ugh that constant need to pee is my life! Every 5 seconds, it feels like, Im in the toilet, and then its just a few drops!

I have been very fortunate to have been signed off work on full pay, but not mat leave for a couple of months now. I would now have been coping with work at this point...
I started having very debilitating pain at 23 weeks, and while the pains have changed, now at 36 weeks, I am in a different type of pain, but it is constant and I can barely sleep!
Not to mention the also near constant Braxton hicks! A bit better these days with Magnesium, but still!

Will find out the date of my c section on Monday! I am very very excited for it!
(though I know it is either on the 20th or the 21st!)

I’m 35+5 and definitely feel like I’m starting to struggle, feels like everything has ramped up a gear! I’m working until 38 weeks and counting down the days!

also feel like I have so much to do but very minimal energy and motivation to get it done- I haven’t packed my hospital bag yet & frankly don’t even know if I have the stuff I need to put in it but can’t face doing anything extra other than work! I know I need to get it done but at the moment it’s so tempting to just wait until I finish up work to start stuff like that lol

Wow my water broke during my sleep last night then few more times within the next 10mins we went to MAU contractions started within 40mins and went to 4cm in the matter of minutes. I developed sepsis my blood pressure was mega low and at one point my heart rate dropped to 50rpm. Baby was not moving very distressed I was passing out from pain and within 2hrs of coming into MAU I gave birth to my baby girl via emergency c-section at 34+2. I had a spinal pain relief similar to epidural and omg it was god sent! My contraction pain disappeared instantly 😊 good luck everyone x

Hope you and the baby are ok?
Enjoy your baby, though!!!!

@ASGIRC thanks xxx she has difficulty with breathing is on CPAP and will likely be left for longer for monitoring but is stable 🙏🏼 I'm absolutely fine after that spinal injection until it's gone off but I managed to walk and get showered as well so not shocking it hurts but definitely not as much as it imagined when looking into c sections. As soon as I got that spinal injection my health went back to normal with blood pressure coming back to normal gradually

@chlo299 hope your baby girl recovers soon and can go home with you in the very near future!

You are the 3rd person I know whose water broke in their sleep this week!
And all premature as well!

And yeah, i hear that, while sore, c sections can be not as bad as all that.
And I hope it's true, as I'm having one in less than 2 weeks!

Best of luck for the two of you!!
