Seems we got to the end of a thread. Not sure if a new one has been set up.

@ChyLL hope all goes well for you ❤️ The lines on those strip tests do look very faint for 5+ weeks but the control line isn't very dark either - hopefully just bad tests? The clearblue is a lot more reassuring, but fingers crossed the blood results come back okay xx

Thank you @Nervous764367

I had fertility treatment with a trigger shot so I know the exact day I ovulated. I do however have longer cycles but not sure how much (if anything) that could affect things.

I did my first test on 18/2 but they haven’t really got darker over the week. I wish I was the kind of person who just saw the clear blue one and was happy with just doing the one test.

I’m glad I’ve got the tests booked but just want them to be over now so I know one way or another. It’s so hard isn’t it all this worry for something we so desperately want.

wishing all the good things for you too ♥️

I've got no personal experience with trigger shots but I've seen lots of YouTube videos of people who've had them "testing out" from their trigger shot - like the trigger shot will make you test positive on a pregnancy test for a period of time afterwards so they test every day after until the line disappears and then start testing for pregnancy - if the line reappears then they're pregnant. I'm sure you're already well versed with all this compared to me but thought it could be worth mentioning. Did you test negative after your trigger shot before you got a positive test? Xxx

ChyLL · 26/02/2024 20:53

@tryforbabynumber2 I hope so.. all
the tests are so different! Wish there was just one test which was trusted. I never know what one to use.
Thank you, I’m hoping they will be ok 🤞🏼

ChyLL · 26/02/2024 20:56

@tryforbabynumber2 i decided not to test out my trigger as I thought it would drive me insane seeing the line disappear and only hoping it would come back again.
The clinic gave me a date to test where they knew the trigger would have left my system so they and I feeL positive that it’s HCG from pregnancy now and not the trigger 😊 thank you for checking tho, I can imagine that does happen to some people
xx

Willow2023 · 26/02/2024 21:01

@tryforbabynumber2 how did you get your dating scan so soon!? I haven't heard anything yet but fetal medicine have me booked in for scan on 28th March when I should be around 8-9weeks 🙃 🤞xx

tryforbabynumber2 · 26/02/2024 21:03

@Willow2023 my dating scan is a private one at 7+6 that I'm paying for, I won't have my NHS scan until after 12 weeks. NHS booking appointment at 8+1 xxx

tryforbabynumber2 · 26/02/2024 21:04

@ChyLL everything crossed for you! Keep us updated when you get your bloods ❤️ xxx

ChyLL · 26/02/2024 21:07

@tryforbabynumber2 thank you, I will do ♥️

Willow2023 · 26/02/2024 21:08

@tryforbabynumber2 ah I got you. I'm sure I'll be booking myself in privately a couple of times before the 12 week scan! I spent a fortune last time, it became a bit of an obsession! How are you feeling at this stage? Are you having any niggling cramps/aches?
That's why I went for a scan today. I've been having quite dull heavy cramps but nothing too major/painful. Xx

ChyLL · 26/02/2024 17:07

I’ve decided to book HCG blood tests through my clinic. They originally told me £300 but today I called to check and they said only £100 so I’m having them and will know results of them by Friday.

I feel sick with worry that things aren’t progressing as they should do due to these clear blue weeks indicator tests. I’ve been doing the cheap strip tests too and they are really faint for 5+3 (what I should be today). I’ve added a pic… I feel it’s too light! (Also these are from Amazon and I’ve previously used the boots cheap strips) .

I've got pictures of the cheap strip tests on my phone from when I had my son but I don’t know the exact number of weeks I was 🥴

Hope you’re all ok ♥️

Hi! Just wanted to jump on and say i used those Amazon mom med tests and felt like they were very temperamental. Especially if I didn't use FMU then the progression line was non existent but came up clear on other tests. Fingers crossed everything will be okay for you❤️❤️

hopingforapeainapod · 26/02/2024 21:16

@Willow2023 @tryforbabynumber2 I’m also in the same boat - 5+4 today! Got a reassurance scan next Thursday when I’ll be exactly 7 weeks - cannot bloody wait, going to be the longest 10 day wait ever! Then got my midwife appointment early April when I’ll be 10.5 weeks I think. How are you both getting on? Many symptoms? Mine seem to come and go a lot xx

tryforbabynumber2 · 26/02/2024 21:18

@Willow2023 Oh yes I've definitely had cramps and aches! Cramps started at 3dpo and lasted till about a week ago. Since then I've had really sore boobs, absolutely exhausted and have a really achy lower back and a few twinges low in my abdomen on either side. That's it for symptoms at this point aside from a few bits of nausea and dizziness. How are you xxx

tryforbabynumber2 · 26/02/2024 21:19

@hopingforapeainapod congratulations ❤️ I've just posted my symptoms to @Willow2023 but my major ones at the moment are sore boobs, achy lower back and extreme fatigue. I just feel absolutely exhausted! Xxx

ChyLL · 26/02/2024 21:19

Thank you @SELE97 I should have really waited to do one tomorrow with my FMU but as soon as they arrived today I just done one at about 16:30! Silly really as it was me pretty much asking to feel
anxious! ♥️

Itsasomething · 26/02/2024 21:20

Seconded about the mom med strips! Won't be buying those again! Strong line on cheapies, barely a vvfl on mom med.

Willow2023 · 26/02/2024 21:22

@hopingforapeainapod
The wait for scan is brutal!!!
@tryforbabynumber2 I've had so many signs/symptoms: boobs/nipples are agony! Can not only taste but smell metallic. I do have minor dull cramps but hoping thts down to all the stretching and stuff going on 🙏 only really have nausea in the morning but eating like an absolute demon! Lol I didn't even think that was possible this early but omg can I eat! Xx

hopingforapeainapod · 26/02/2024 21:22

@tryforbabynumber2 I am exhausted too! I also have super sore boobs and weird abdominal cramps / twitches. I’m also very hungry and sleep is a bit disturbed - already having to go to the loo in the middle of the night which is not like me! Told my parents this weekend as they were staying (only other people apart from DH who know) so is starting to feel more ‘real’!

tryforbabynumber2 · 26/02/2024 21:24

@Willow2023 @hopingforapeainapod Oh now you mention it weeing a lot more too! Not been getting up in the night yet thankfully. We've not told anyone yet so it's still feeling very surreal! Plus my BIL and SIL have told us they're expecting (I would have literally just conceived a few days prior) so the timing just feels awful to tell people xxx

SELE97 · 26/02/2024 21:26

@ChyLL Completely understandable, I'm a serial tester and cannot resist testing all times of the day even though I know I'm going to be disappointed as I'm always very hydrated and the Mom Med tests need a very concentrated wee to show anything!

This was my first time TTC and I wish I'd been warned about the Mom Med strips before I used a whole box of them. They made me very anxious, so hopefully it's just the crappy tests🤞🏻

Willow2023 · 26/02/2024 21:27

@tryforbabynumber2 @hopingforapeainapod my partner doesn't want anyone knowing until the 12 week scan but I've secretly told my mum as I have no friends or family here and really need someone to talk to about it. Hoping he doesn't find this forum 🤣 xx

ChyLL · 26/02/2024 21:29

@Itsasomething this is reassuring.. I need to cling on to these snippets of hope (and throw away those mom med strips)!!

ButterflySkies · 26/02/2024 22:18

@ChyLL sorry your anxious lovely. If it helps i thought the boots test strips were rubbish, only a faint line on one when the same wee sample had me at 2-3 weeks on a digital. the control lines never really darkened in the time i noticed, i wonder if there's a dodgy batch about. Your clear blue line looks lovely so go with that and try and relax (know it's easier said than done) xx

ChyLL · 26/02/2024 22:22

@ButterflySkies thank you, it’s reassuring to hear people have had the same kind of results from similar test strips!

im happy with the clear blue so like you say i really need to go with that one and ill be keeping everything crossed xx

IsLarryFromSomething · 26/02/2024 22:28

I also had very faint lines on the mom med tests whereas other brands were clear. Their ovulation kits and premom app was good for tracking my cycle but I think the pregnancy tests aren't as strong.

aussiegirl89 · 26/02/2024 23:23

@RobynC28 yes but mine flips between sick once a day to sick 5 times a day 🤢

I'm currently having an aversion to tap water - I only want ice cold filtered water or sparkling water lol
