Seems we got to the end of a thread. Not sure if a new one has been set up.

Just a public service announcement. Do NOT watch One Day on Netflix. I am inconsolable!

LuxeBiscuit · 24/02/2024 18:04

@Nic2908 I'm sure that'll be an invention in 20 years time! It's so weird that all of these things are going on inside that you can't see.

CM123baby · 24/02/2024 18:11

@CluelessInLondon straight away you go on ground duties but takes a while to get it organised, I’ve put in a sick note for now but I don’t think I’ll get another 2 weeks out of it 😅 I’ve been in agony for months with my stomach and the scan shown gallstones so maybe they will be ok with that. X

CDD · 24/02/2024 12:31

Congratulations on you BFP’S to all the new joiners ❤

@tryingforbaba I have not got any issues with noise atm… but I do have a very itchy scalp I have not changed any products so not sure why.. what hair products do you all use? (I cannot use head and shoulders even before pregnancy)

@CM123baby Sorry to hear this and fingers crossed your next scan goes well and clears the anxiety. I have previously miscarried but the doctors and midwife have said they wont give me an early scan or bloods. I am thinking to get a private early scan.

@Willow2023 I have a teenager also how are you feeling about the age gap?
Yeah I also agree this pregnancy has given me different symptoms I am thinking it’s also down to age. I have been told I need to start taking aspirin at 12 weeks due to my DD’s birth weight but I need to look into this properly.

Has anyone else took aspirin during pregnancy? I have been told I need to take 150mg a evening from 12 weeks?
Also has anyone had a Vbac?
TIA

Hi CDD, I had a VBAC with my last baby. I had her at home in a birth pool and it was magical.

I hope to have this one at home too as I truly believe my c-selection was caused my unnecessary medical intervention/cascade of interventions. I felt much safer at home: xx

@Nervous764367 your birth sounds amazing I'm going for vba2c this time and I'm more determined than. Ever !

@Nervous764367 your birth sounds amazing I'm going for vba2c this time and I'm more determined than. Ever !

@mrssunshinexxx thank you, it really was. So healing and one of the proudest moments of my life. I think about it everyday still.

You can do it! There’s a great podcast called ‘unleash your VBAC power’ and they have stories on there of women who’ve had VBACs & VBA2Cs ❤️ x

mrssunshinexxx · 24/02/2024 19:57

Ooh @Nervous764367 thank you will definitely check this out ! I keep reading all the successful stories on the vbac uk fb page. X

Fullofconfusion · 24/02/2024 21:14

@ButterflySkies my original booking appointment was going to be 11 weeks and they’ve moved me forward slightly as I was worried. The midwife did say to me though that as long as the scan is done before 14 weeks that’s fine for measurements. She said they don’t book scans before booking (might just be my trust as I know other people have their dates already) but they can do an urgent one if needed. Hope that helps a little with the anxiety.

I’m 8 weeks now and still exhausted. And my boobs are huge. It’s ridiculous!

Trifficult · 24/02/2024 22:13

@CDD I'm hoping for a vbac this time, preferably without induction!

mrssunshinexxx · 25/02/2024 07:39

@Trifficult they are unlikely to induce with a vbac as increases chance of rupture. What was the reason for your emc ? I love this topic and have been trawling the vbac fb group and reading alllll the success stories to keep my positive.
@CDD will be aiming for a vba2c this time
Feel armed with knowledge and experience after the last 2 times and like I can achieve it this time

Oct24 · 25/02/2024 07:44

Morning all. Also tentatively toying with the idea of a VBAC. I won't make that decision until much closer to the time. All depends on how things are towards the end.

@Trifficult My hospital won't allow VBAC with induction. Spontaneous labour only. First sign of needing Pitocin and it's game over. The risk of rupture is too high.

Oct24 · 25/02/2024 08:02

Has anyone heard from @Sunandsea13? Just noticed she's not popped up on the new thread yet. Hope everything is okay. Xx

Trifficult · 25/02/2024 09:31

@mrssunshinexxx he had the cord around his neck twice so heart rate was dropping with each contraction.

I suppose I'll have to pray I go into labour and take all the sweeps in that case!

mrssunshinexxx · 25/02/2024 10:18

@Trifficult exactly what happened to mine heart rate wasn't recovering even before a new contraction and my scar was pulsing. It was a close gap though will be nearly 3 years this time. I had 4 sweeps in both pregnancies I'm not sure if I'll bother this time will see how desperate I get as always go overdue! X

mrssunshinexxx · 25/02/2024 10:19

Cord round neck twice @Trifficult

IsLarryFromSomething · 25/02/2024 11:12

I think I was in the old thread but have lost track so apologies if not!

We went to a friend's for dinner last night and it was the type of thing I often eat (curry) but now a fun new side effect seems to be that I now get heartburn after spicy food. Also I was absolutely dying in my jeans, which have stretch to them - the bloating is already making me feel like I have a bump even though I apparently don't look any different.

I feel generally good though, I am normally a very anxious person but ever since I found out I feel really positive and hopeful, feelings I hadn't had for a while as it took over a year to conceive.

Sara1988 · 25/02/2024 15:27

Has anyone had a private scan? I have one booked on Tuesday and really nervous/apprehensive

87lulu · 25/02/2024 15:56

I have my first scan booked for Tuesday also @Sara1988 :) hope it all goes well for you ! I’ve been so nervous too , but hopefully it will bring peace of mind that something is actually going on in there and babies are nice and cosy.

Sara1988 · 25/02/2024 16:07

@87lulu this is all I want. Been so worrier about mc and ectopic. Good luck x

Jhxxx · 25/02/2024 16:42

Hi all, hope you are all well. I thought I'd come say hello. I'm 6 weeks & due my first baby 21st October, trying to keep positive but it's hard at times. Baby dust to you all xox

CluelessInLondon · 25/02/2024 17:00

@Sara1988 I had a private scan in my previous pregnancy, this time my early scans are being done at the hospital due to previous loss. How far along are you?

@87lulu Good luck for your scan on Tuesday, I hope it goes well and you get a look at your little bean. ☺️

@Jhxxx Welcome and congratulations to you!

I've been so tired this weekend - went out for brunch and a stroll with a friend yesterday and can't believe how much a few hours out of the house has wiped me out! I was too tired to do anything apart from lie on the sofa last night and I've been really short of energy today as well. Perked up a bit when my husband asked me if I wanted to sort out some hotel bookings for our holiday at the end of March though. 😂

mrssunshinexxx · 25/02/2024 17:16

Also exhausted here ! Might have something to do with me 2 and 3 year old but I feel extra fatigued. We go to center parcs tomorrow too! 😴
Never had early scans so going to try not fold this time but 12 weeks feels forever away

Sara1988 · 25/02/2024 17:17

@CluelessInLondon 8w3d since last period but I think 7w3d if I go by ovulation. How did your private scan go? Sorry for your loss but glad you're being cared for by hospital now

CluelessInLondon · 25/02/2024 17:36

@Sara1988 That's a nice time to have a scan, you should be able to get a good look at your little bean and see the heartbeat. I am 8+4 today so very similar to you! My private scan last time was the first sign of something being wrong - I was 7+5 but baby only measured 6+1 so a long way behind, there was a heartbeat but I started miscarrying a week later. I would rather know sooner than later if something is wrong though (I know not everyone feels that way so it's very much personal preference), so I'm glad to be getting early scans at the hospital this time.

Sara1988 · 25/02/2024 18:13

@CluelessInLondon I'm the same - I'd rather know! It's the unknown that's making me so anxious I think.
