Morning everyone, how are we all feeling? I'm 7 weeks today and the nausea has started to creep in 😩 So much for being lucky and escaping it like last time! I have an early private scan a week today when I'm 8 weeks and I'm keeping everything crossed that all is okay! Xxx

Good morning!!

8+5 today and the nausea has been horrendous this past week and a half.. ginger biscuits, ice pops, ice cream, lemon water. They will definitely be yoir best friends!!
This past couple of days its curbed a little but not enough, ive had 2 nights where i want able to eat dinner due to nausea.
Its horrible!!!

My nipples felt as though they were being torn off last week then this week i had 3 days where my nipples werent hurting at all!!

Tmi - i managed to have nipple play during sex, which was new during this pregnancy!

Now? I cant think of anything worse than anything touching my nipples!🫠

Feel like i'll probably die if my nipples are touched by anything thats not clothing. I enjoyed having a few days without my nipples feeling like theyre being carved off by a blunt knife😪

This pregnancy has hit me so hard, i struggled with 2 previous early mmc's.

We are close to hitting a milestone on the LMP clock! We're coming up to 9 weeks and could never get past it previously without me bleeding, hysterically crying, seeing the EPU to be told babys heart isnt beating.

I told my manager the other day.. ive known her 4 weeks and she nearly cried for me finding out that we're having a baby although she told me she was seething inside becaude she doesnt want to me to leave😪

So now shes acting like a mother to me now, dont do this, you cant eat that, dont drink that! (shes old enough to be my glammother!🤣)

Your symptoms will curb a little soon hopefully! Sending everyone love and well wishes! X

tryforbabynumber2 · 09/03/2024 10:36

@LER2023 I've been the same the past few days, halfway into everything I eat I get nauseous and can't continue eating 🤢 It's not constant thankfully but I'm getting it more and more often.

With you on the nipple front haha!! My boobs and nipples have been sooo sore. I remember them hurting last time but I'm sure it was only for the first couple of weeks. I don't remember it carrying on! It's been 7 years though so I could be wrong.

Fingers crossed for you that you pass this milestone and far beyond ❤️ xxx

hopingforapeainapod · 09/03/2024 10:52

@tryforbabynumber2 I’m 7+2 and the nausea had really kicked in this week!! I am either absolutely ravenously hungry or nauseous (or both) - definitely worse first thing in the morning and in the evenings - first baby and has slightly taken me by surprise, and I can’t believe I might have weeks and weeks of this! :( I can deal with all the other symptoms - being tired, getting up in the night to pee, mood swings - but this constant pit in my stomach is really not much fun!

tryforbabynumber2 · 09/03/2024 10:55

@hopingforapeainapod I didn't have any nausea in my first pregnancy, I was so lucky! Was really hoping it'd be the same this time but nope 🙈 Definitely worse in the mornings and evenings for me too - I wonder why that is?

Hardly any food sounds good to me at the moment apart from juicy fruits like oranges, pineapple, strawberries and Tango Ice Blast! 😂

Hope it passes quickly for you xxx

mouldygrapes · 09/03/2024 13:15

Struggling to keep up but had to say tentative congratulations @KittyFantastica , what a rollercoaster of emotions you must be going through.
I agree with others, the measurements are so tiny at this stage that it's easy for things to be off, they usually "catch up" by the later scans.

Just had our scan and there's a little bean with a heartbeat, such a relief. I'm 8+1 by dates and 7+6 by scan.

I'm feeling so ridiculously fatigued and nausea is very up and down. Just hope it eases soon; I'm sleeping so much and still could fall asleep at the drop of a hat!

Yes!! My plan for today is snacks, sleep and reading.

I always like reading my new week on a Friday (I'm 7+1 today) and finding out why I've been so tired though, like which organ I've made which is really taking it out of me 😂

IsLarryFromSomething · 09/03/2024 13:46

Oh - question maybe for those who have been pregnant before. When the time comes to buy maternity clothes (not yet but the bloat is big and I will maybe look at Easter) do you get your normal size or do you need to size up?

I just got my normal size, but I found that I liked under bump jeans in my second trimester but hated them in my third and really needed over the bump.

I survived on elasticated waist and the next size up until about 22 weeks, and then wore them again for post-partum.

IsLarryFromSomething · 09/03/2024 14:25

Thank you!!

I wear mainly dresses so hopefully it'll be easier. I hate trying on trousers but nowhere has maternity in store near me so it's even worse because who knows what I'll want? Haha

GiantRoadPuzzle · 09/03/2024 15:10

I’ve got a couple of bits from last pregnancy but that was during lockdown and I was wfh so I could get away with just leggings & joggers!

This time round, my plan is to just get some bits from Vinted.

Bee49 · 09/03/2024 15:25

@Nervous764367 glad to hear your symptoms are fluctuating. I’m 8+6 (9 by scan) and the last two days have felt considerably better. It’s made me a bit nervous although I’m sure it was a similar time last time that things started to get better.

@IsLarryFromSomething buy in your normal size but I did find by the end I didn’t even fit in maternity clothes. I probably needed to size up but by then it didn’t seem worth it that close to the end!

WickWood · 09/03/2024 16:27

I'm 10+3 and the nausea/sickness has finally mostly subsided over the past day or 2, just to give people hope! I now have a horrid cold but that's not pregnancy related. I didn't think the sickness would ever get better! The tiredness on the other hand, it's my birthday today, I've been asleep a couple of hours and really don't have the energy for a meal out tonight!!

RobynC28 · 09/03/2024 16:45

I'm 10+1 and still feeling rough! I've definitely not been as bad as some of you ladies so i should feel grateful but still feeling quite sick most of the time. It's a bit miserable isn't it??

I've tentatively looked at some maternity clothe options and everything looks so frumpy- all baggy floral dresses ! I normally shop at arket, cos, stories, zara but can't anything much that style. My friends with similar style/ dress size to me said they just brought tight clothes and sized up as its more flattering.
Not jinxing anything by buying anything yet.

lpylou · 09/03/2024 16:49

Hang in there, this is my second pregnancy and as per last time, I'm 11 weeks on Sunday and everything has subsided. Was worried if everything was ok but feel very slightly nauseous this afternoon.

H&M do a good maternity range.

Sara1988 · 09/03/2024 17:02

I went out today and brought some clothes in my usually size but kept asking myself would a bump fit in this? I think your body changes so much in 9 months that we'll probably go through a whole range of options unfortunately.

I'm 9+6 still feeling vaguely sick and super tired but I think it's easting a little.

mrssunshinexxx · 09/03/2024 18:14

@RobynC28 I rate h and m maternity leggings , h and m , next and top shop maternity jeans for tops I have a set of nursing vests that I just put under my normal clothes for pregnancy and feeding . Oversized jumpers . Bought a couple of stretchy ribbed midi dresses in a size up x

spudnik1 · 09/03/2024 18:16

10+5 here and yes I am in maternity clothes 🤣
It is my second however. I simply couldn't fit into my normal clothes and no point getting more normal clothes in a bigger size just get comfy!
I vinted. Remembered seraphine from last time lovely clothes I am normally a size 10 on top size 12 bottom have gone for size 12 dresses fit is good. One pair of size 14 under bump jeans which are big but knowing how massive I was last time I have no doubt will fit by the end

Hey, I’m new to this thread, are you due 25 Oct too? We are 7+1 and this has been our Friday ritual too 🥰

WeightoftheWorld · 09/03/2024 18:47

Hi can I join? Due mid-October with #3. Having a low day today, feeling terribly nauseous and exhausted so spent a lot of today in bed. Increased the dose of my anti sickness medication today and hoping that will help. I had HG in my first two pregnancies so was sooo much more unwell in comparison then of course but I seem to be getting worse as the weeks go by atm so quite anxious about that.

Re: clothes, I can juuuust about fit into my normal jeans etc still but it's tight and uncomfortable. I have put on about 1.5kg or something but I've been this weight before and still fitted fine in my trousers, I think it must surely be terrible bloating as the baby and womb are still absolutely tiny?! As I say in my last two pregnancies I was severely unwell by now so didn't have this issue as was bed bound anyway except for appointments so only wore PJs and then occasionally leggings for an appointment or whatever. I also lost weight with DC1 and didn't gain any with DC2 in the first trimesters with the severe sickness.

Itsasomething · 09/03/2024 19:16

Might chime in about mat clothes, last baby was also in October, and it was so hot that year I lived in overbump shorts &upsized t-shirts.

Also having a rough time of it, found myself balling crying for the smallest act of kindness earlier. Thankfully had some relief from the horrific overwhelming sense of smell that had me running to the bathroom constantly this week.
Hoping this week will see some lessening of symptoms cause I'm struggling!

RobynC28 · 09/03/2024 19:43

Yes i was thinking maternity leggings and oversized shirts might be a good look? I have loads of lululemon and sweaty beatty pairs but all s/xs so not sure how long these will last! I read somewhere about one type of lululemon leggings being good for pregnancy but not the type i own and i guess would really need to size up!
I've not put weight on yet - well I'm still fitting into my jeans, i don't weigh myself. I imagine it's because it's my first and I've cut out all the beer and wine I normally drink as my diet is worse! I'm so spotty though - not sure if pregnancy or all the beige food and sugar ! Can't belive how often I have to eat to not be sick.

Bee49 · 10/03/2024 05:39

@RobynC28 I wore my normal leggings throughout my last pregnancy and they were fine. They’re sketchers brand, maybe they’re super stretchy?
Also having to eat constantly and doing much less because I’m so tired so I must have put some weight on. Going to try and not weigh myself this pregnancy though as it’s not good for my mental health. Although if I remember and get a chance I’d love to do it before and after birth again. That was WILD!

mrssunshinexxx · 10/03/2024 07:30

Welcome @WeightoftheWorld really hope your sickness doesn't get worse. I'm also expecting number 3 and the Bloat is real it's my job today to order some maternity bits which seems crazy I'm only 7weeks. But I think the more you have and the closer together the quicker everything expands. I have a 2 and 3 year old so 3 pregnancies in 3 years is a lot x

Me neither - to be honest i don't weigh myself anyway as it's just not good for my mental health, no scales in my house . Plus my mum can be bit tricky about weight and is always asking me how much I weigh so easier to avoid. She's already said 'you've not put on weight yet, have you?' 😬.

I was weighed at my booking in appointment 2 weeks ago and my bmi was healthy but under 20 so I think I should be okay if I put on a bit. I've gone from intense exercising 5 days a week to staying in bed eating toast - ha ha. My boobs have changed loads and are absolutely huge currently!

If everything goes well I'll also have 2 hen dos and 3 weddings when I'm 7/8 months pregnant so will need to find some dressy outfits too!

Yes I am!! Hi due date buddy! In a way it's slightly hard being due at the end of the month as most of the others here are ahead, but it's also nice because I've not been surprised by any symptoms because most of them have been experienced by one or more of the ladies here before me.
