Seems we got to the end of a thread. Not sure if a new one has been set up.

@October73 such amazing news that it’s caught up! I think when you are so early it’s so difficult to measure accurately, makes it super stressful doesn’t it!

Sorry to hear about your bleeding that would completely freak me out as well, I actually had a subchorionic haematoma but within a week it’s resolved and been absorbed! Apparently they can just sort themselves out 🤷‍♀️

are you going to get another scan?

@mrssunshinexxx I hope the bleeding resolves quickly, it does seem super common to get this in early pregnancy. Have you got a scan booked on Monday? If you had a scan earlier it may be really difficult to see heartbeat/much when under 6 wks. It’s a horrible wait though isn’t it xxx

@Strawbs92 good luck for your scan 😘 hope it goes well. I find most of the midwife’s/nurses super lovely but you always get some don’t you. I always think when they are not particularly pleasant likelihood they are having a bad day and it’s not my situation /me. Hope you get someone a bit more pleasant for your scan xx

mrssunshinexxx · 01/03/2024 14:43

Hey @Ellenn thanks, she said to call back on Monday but unless I have a lot more I'm not going to have a scan until 12 weeks xx

LuxeBiscuit · 01/03/2024 15:28

@CluelessInLondon yes, a big relief. I'm not doing too bad. I've had daily spotting but not lots at a time. It seems to be quite common during week 7 so I'm trying to not let it get me down.

If all goes well over the next two weeks I may book a scan at 9-10 weeks.

Nic2908 · 01/03/2024 16:55

Hi ladies. Had my booking in appointment today. So it’s all starting to feel incredibly real now I have a lovely nhs yellow folder. I’m absolutely exhausted and I feel about 20 weeks pregnant and I’m only 8+6 🧡🫣🙃 I feel like the last 4 weeks has been so long that the next few months are going to feel like a flipping marathon.

Anyone else experience stomach tightness? I'm 7wks tomorrow.

WickWood · 01/03/2024 18:08

@AnxiousD
Not sure if it's the same thing, but I almost feel like I keep pulling my stomach? Ie when getting out of the car my stomach will pull, or sneezing while I'm lay down. Is that similar to what you're experiencing? I'm 9+2.

CDD · 01/03/2024 18:23

Hope everyone is well :)

I have really bad cramping today and lower back ache have taken painkillers and been using the hot water bottle. I have not had any spotting or bleeding at all. So not sure if I should contact EPU as I have had previous miscarriages. Currently 9weeks

What does everyone think or have they had anything similar?
Tia

Hi. It's if I've been sitting for long periods of time (which seems to be quite often ha!)

mrssunshinexxx · 01/03/2024 19:34

@Nic2908 it's an exciting milestone isn't it
Omg yes it's dragging I think cos I knew way before my period was due this time so slow. Can't wait to get to 12 weeks then I reckon it will fly

KittyFantastica · 29/02/2024 21:05

Hi all, I had my early reassurance (why do they call or that? Why?) scan today at 6+4 and there's nothing in the sac.

I'm facing the next few weeks growing an empty hole while EPU drag their heels to confirm it. I feel absolutely nothing. The devastation will hit properly in the next couple of weeks, no doubt.

Just wanted to say I wish you all the very best.

I'm really sorry. We went through the same in December with a blighter ovum and it is really hard to process. Be kind to yourself 🩷

I keep getting this too! Only 5+5 xxx

tryforbabynumber2 · 01/03/2024 21:00

@Itsasomething great news ❤️ how many weeks are you xxx

RobynC28 · 02/03/2024 06:03

We saw our baby last night! Early scan and they dated us at 9 weeks exactly. Everything looking okay and in the right place. Still feels unreal - slightly terrifying too!

mrssunshinexxx · 02/03/2024 07:20

No more blood since yest morning other than the tiniest amount of dark red old blood we did have sex on wed eve so maybe it was to do with that.
12 weeks hurry up!! Cannot believe I still have double or more what I've already done til scan 😳😳😳

Mitsky · 02/03/2024 08:26

Another day, another with no symptoms.

I know I’m only 5.5 weeks but I really want some reassurance from my body.

FlyOnTheWall89 · 02/03/2024 09:08

@Mitsky I'm the same as you - I don't feel pregnant at all. If I didn't have a test saying 2-3 weeks, I wouldn't believe it. Going to test again middle of next week which should easily be 3+. I think I'm more thirsty, but it's hard to attribute that specifically to pregnancy!

GingerCactus · 02/03/2024 10:53

@Mitsky @FlyOnTheWall89 I’m the same. I’m around 7+2 (irregular periods so won’t know exactly until first scan) but I’m terrified because I don’t really have any symptoms. I had some nausea (no actual sickness) and cramping up until about a week ago and now nothing so I’m just overthinking everything! But I know it’s normal to have no symptoms or symptoms that come and go!

FlyOnTheWall89 · 02/03/2024 12:24

@Mitsky @GingerCactus with my daughter I kept a diary during my pregnancy - mostly because we took a long long time to conceive and I wanted to remember all of it, the good and the bad. I noted no real symptoms till week 7 and even then it came and went. Week 9-12 were however brutal 😂...

Oct24 · 02/03/2024 13:33

Hi all and welcome & congratulations to new comers!

We had a scan today and little bean is measuring slightly ahead and doing well. :-)

Someone was asking about NIPT tests. If it's any help, my dr said to wait until at the earliest 10 weeks. There needs to be enough baby DNA kicking around in a decent sized placenta to get an accurate result. (So this is not my next big worry and hurdle to pass!)

mrssunshinexxx · 02/03/2024 15:00

You can have my all day nausea @Mitsky 😂

Anyone else not having screening?

spudnik1 · 02/03/2024 15:49

Anyone seen the baby wish list feature on amazon's? Apparently you get 15% off if it's on your wish list?
Was just trawling through amazon for work pants that may actually fit and arrive by Monday

Ellenn · 02/03/2024 16:10

@Oct24 I was wondering what genetic tests you can get on NHS as was considering doing the harmony test privately (although it’s quite expensive.) but if we can get similar testing through NHS it seems a bit pointless doing it twice? Does anyone know if we get chromosome abnosmality bloods and at what stage? Is that at 10wks the same as the scan?

WickWood · 02/03/2024 16:20

@Ellenn
I'm not 100% sure, but when I had my booking appointment they mentioned a scan to check the fold of the neck for chromosome abnormalities?

Ellenn · 02/03/2024 16:22

@WickWood do they take bloods at your booking appointment? My appointment is at 9.5 wks and then my first scan via nhs at 13.5 wks worried that would be too late for the timings/measurements?

CluelessInLondon · 02/03/2024 16:49

@Ellenn I had bloods done at my booking appointment yesterday but they don't do the screening for trisomy 21 etc. until the dating scan. My letter said the scan has to be done by 13+6 for the screening, and I had to opt into it at the booking appointment.
