The sore boobs definitely got me thinking it could be, they have been more sore than before period. 😯

shldv · 30/01/2024 15:46

Can I join? Just got a BFP at 10 dpo after having a miscarriage on the 3rd of Jan (also my birthday Confused) couldn't be happier to join the October crew!

Jennifer89 · 30/01/2024 16:05

Congrats hun, sorry to hear about miscarriage. Good news to hear you got pregnant again so quickly 😊

CluelessInLondon · 30/01/2024 17:31

@AnnieApple123 I'm going to call my local EGU tomorrow to ask about early scans - after my MC they said I would be able to get a couple of extra scans in the first trimester if I got pregnant again. It might feel a bit more real if I have a scan appointment booked! Still feels quite surreal though, much more so than last time - I guess I don't trust anymore that a positive pregnancy test automatically means I'm having a baby.

@Jennifer89 Congratulations, you must be so pleased after trying for a long time. I have a friend who got pregnant a few years ago soon after a hycosy, so it definitely seems to work!

@shldv Sorry to hear about your previous loss - great that you have managed to conceive again quickly though. Congratulations!

Jennifer89 · 30/01/2024 17:36

@CluelessInLondon thank you! Yes very pleased. I also had a hysteroscopy 4 months ago to remove a pesky fibroid so I think that plus the hycosy helped. 😊

I am considering to get an early scan booked privately too for around 8 weeks. Just seems long time to wait to the 12-14 week scan.

Shootystealy · 30/01/2024 18:10

@Ems1992 I feel the same although I've not been trying as ling, I feel stung by the earlier chemical. Hard to get excited!

Roses5678 · 30/01/2024 18:17

I have just has my hcg results back and they are 4247, I am 5 weeks today.

Does this sound OK.

Ems1992 · 30/01/2024 18:19

How do people get HCG blood tests? Can you request them at GP? I was going to ask due to two previous miscarriages since June, is this a good enough reason?

RobynC28 · 30/01/2024 18:36

I'm from the UK and do we just wait for the hospital to contact us for the 12 week scan? This is my first and luckily no history of MCs.

In movies people always seem to go to their GP for confirmation but maybe that's not an option here?? I called and they just said self refer to a hospital. I saw in another thread the hospital I've self referred to can take ages to process referrals and not to chase until you are 9 weeks!

I'll probably do a private scan at 8 weeks so i can start telling people-feeling so nervous about this all!

What's everyone else doing?

4LeafCloverBaby · 30/01/2024 18:53

@RobynC28 yes that’s correct for me to. Self referral & then they contact you within 10 days. I’m near Gatwick

sunnyfleur · 30/01/2024 19:09

Has everyone joined the WhatsApp group?

Ems1992 · 30/01/2024 19:15

I haven’t seen the group?

sunnyfleur · 30/01/2024 19:20

Page 7, several comments from the bottom is the link :)

4LeafCloverBaby · 30/01/2024 19:22

I have :)

CluelessInLondon · 30/01/2024 19:54

@RobynC28 Same for me, self-referral to the hospital - you can go via GP but there isn't really any need. I haven't done my referral yet - last time I got my booking appointment confirmed on the same day as I did the form so I'm not worried about waiting a long time to hear back, and I'm too cautious about something going wrong again to refer straight away. I'll probably do it this weekend.

AnnieApple123 · 30/01/2024 20:01

Glad you’re feeling better now @ttcchapter2

Welcome @Jennifer89 and @shldv

@Ems1992 those having HCG bloods are usually with a fertility clinic. I’m not sure how easily you’d be able to get them otherwise but it’s definitely worth asking. I’m with a clinic in the US who are obsessed with them and keep requesting I do more and more. I’d like to stop now to be honest. Especially as they’re not cheap!

@CluelessInLondon I'm also 4+6 today and by my cycle due 2nd Oct. I also had a miscarriage last June and completely get what your saying with feelings it's so hard isn't it x

tryingforbaba · 30/01/2024 20:29

Does anyone feel like they're showing yet. I'm only 5 weeks but I swear I'm getting a little bump.... maybe I'm going crazy??

OP posts:
aussiegirl89 · 30/01/2024 20:30

I am 5 weeks and am super bloated from all the extra progesterone - it's only the size of an orange seed at this point so it's not a 'baby bump'

CluelessInLondon · 30/01/2024 20:46

@nervousn3lly It really is, having a loss sucks a lot of the joy out of it - I'm still happy, but that pure sense of excitement isn't there, which feels really unfair.

@tryingforbaba You could definitely be starting to get some bloating - way too early to have anything like an actual bump though!

hermionelodge · 30/01/2024 20:58

Hi all! Joining in 🙂 got my BFP yesterday. I forgot how stressful this part is now, constantly just waiting for my period to start! Was due tomorrow so feel like I'm half waiting for it to appear. Super crampy as well, I know its normal but can't help panicking. Hope everyone is feeling OK so far, it's going to be a long 7/8 weeks for the 12 week scan!

Bb542 · 30/01/2024 21:03

I had twinges in my tummy all day yesterday but nothing at all today. Feel totally fine today. Still so early days anyway but my stomach felt so weird yesterday.

How's everyone else feeling?

hermionelodge · 30/01/2024 21:09

Thanks @Bb542 😊

I've been feeing quite sick, more like something is just sitting at my gag reflex and anything could push it over the edge 😂 boobs still quite tender, crampy and feel shattered but also barely sleeping at nights!

You should take advantage of feeling fine now in case any strong symptoms kick in over the next few weeks haha!
