Welcome @Nic2908! So sorry to hear about your loss. Keeping everything crossed for you.

AnnieApple123 · 24/01/2024 09:37

I’m similar @Nic2908 . I also have a 3 year-old and have had a previous loss, so very nervous currently. I haven’t even been brave enough to do a second test yet to see whether the line is darkening.

Nic2908 · 24/01/2024 12:34

@AnnieApple123 i really recognise your thread name tbh. Maybe our paths have crossed before. I have poas every day multiple times.

Poppypear · 24/01/2024 12:46

Hi all.

Can i join? Got my BFP today at 11d po. My due date is the 5th of October! Excited but nervous - this is my first.

Been feeling exhausted this week so maybe this explains it!

Debating whether to cancel my v intense boot camp class at 7am tomorrow. What do you guys think? I can always take it easy in the class.

AnnieApple123 · 24/01/2024 12:50

@Nic2908 I think I recognise you too! Were you on the August 2023 thread? I can’t bring myself to poas again…

Welcome @Poppypear . That really does sound intense! And early in the morning too. You’re much harder core than I am. Advice on exercise is here: https://www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/keeping-well/exercise/

Thank you - wow 'As a general rule, you should be able to hold a conversation as you exercise when pregnant.' that rules out all the excercise I do. Lol. Love intense exercise and getting a good sweat on but absolutely terrible at Pilates/ yoga or that kinda thing!

I guess I'll hold off until I see a mid wife and see what they say!

CloP2020 · 24/01/2024 14:04

Hi everyone !

I had a faint positive this morning, 2 days before AF due so quietly optimistic but don't want to get my hopes up too much with it being so faint. Will test again Saturday and hope for a darker line !

I'm 30 and this will be baby no.3 (I have 7 and 3 year old boys ). With my last I was in a lovely group on netmums of babies the same age, that forum seems pretty sparse now so I've headed over to here instead to hopefully join you all in this journey.

Congrats to everyone with their positive tests, hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months !

Nic2908 · 24/01/2024 15:24

@AnnieApple123 indeed I was!!! How lovely that we are here together!

Hi Poppy. Same due date and it’s my first too. Let’s be friends :)

sunnyfleur · 24/01/2024 15:27

Maybe we should all make a Facebook group? @tryingforbaba what do you think

nervousn3lly · 24/01/2024 15:41

Hi all and congratulations on your BFP

I got my BFP Sunday due 2nd Oct
I had a miscarriage in June and feel even more anxious now than I did with my 1st child couple of years ago

X

Congrats to you! I’d also go on as normal for now if you feel ok to do so xx

Bumblebee413 · 24/01/2024 18:03

Hi all, I’m 35 and pregnant with my second. Got a BFP on Saturday at 10DPO, however I had brown- pink spotting for 2 days from Monday to Tuesday. Nothing today and I think I’m due around the 1st October. We’re on holiday at the moment so I just skied more to distract myself as I didn’t have implantation bleeding last time, so just assumed it was going to be a chemical pregnancy.

Exercise wise, the general consensus with levels of activity is to maintain your pre pregnancy level- I.e. if you run, keep on running but listen to your body and how you feel. However don’t take up HIT classes if that isn’t what you were doing before.

I’m hoping for a homebirth this time assuming I don’t get gestational diabetes again. Had an ultimately straightforward vaginal birth last time once my daughter got herself out of a horrendous position and it would be so lovely to not have to commute in to the hospital this time.

Huge congratulations to you all xxx

AnnieApple123 · 24/01/2024 20:31

@Poppypear I’m afraid I’m just the opposite and prefer yoga/Pilates. I’m hoping to be a bit more consistent with it in this pregnancy than my last…

@Nic2908 Great to ‘see’ you again. That was a really lovely group. Let’s hope we can make this one similar and that we both get to stay this time. ❤️❤️❤️

Welcome all new joiners!

malimoon · 24/01/2024 20:32

Hello all! Tested positive on Monday night (and again Tuesday morning!), my due date I think technically the v end of September but everyone in the Sep thread feels v far along and you guys more where I am at! Am 37 and this would be my first baby so can't quite believe it's happening... Have been trying for about 8 months. I feel like I should test again tomorrow or Fri to be sure but feel nervous in case it turns out to come to nothing!!

I have been having lower back pain today so got a bit paranoid about it but it seems like that can be normal?? Who knows this is all very new and unknown for me!

AnnieApple123 · 24/01/2024 20:33

I hear you @malimoon . I’m also terrified to test again in case it turns out to be nothing.

CloP2020 · 24/01/2024 20:49

I remember with my 2nd I really didn't think I was pregnant as I was having all the normal AF symptoms including mild lower back and belly cramps. Now I have a wild 3 year old to prove those symptoms were definitely baby!

Best of luck xxxx

Nic2908 · 24/01/2024 20:50

@AnnieApple123 have you taken another test yet?? Come on you can do it.. you will feel better once you have

AnnieApple123 · 24/01/2024 21:31

@CloP2020 Yes similar with my 3 year-old too actually. I was convinced my period was coming as I had all the usual symptoms for that.

@Nic2908 Haven’t tested since Monday afternoon then had HCG blood test the following morning. I’ve been all in a panic about that as the number is lower than at the same point in my last pregnancy, although still within the normal range. I was due another HCG test tomorrow but my doctor has said to leave it for now as they’re causing me so much anxiety. I might do a home test though with first morning urine. I’m just so worried this will turn out to be a chemical pregnancy.

KestrelW · 25/01/2024 07:07

Hi everyone, congratulations on the BFPs! Got mine on Saturday, like @malimoon my EDD is 30th Sept but September group all seem a few weeks ahead so joining here. I’m 32 and it’s my first. Took us 12 cycles to get BFP so hoping it sticks after taking us a while to get here!

Feel like these first few weeks are going to go so slowly but just taking it day by day! X

malimoon · 25/01/2024 07:18

Congratulations @KestrelW ! I can relate on the several months of trying (I said 8 but think was actually 9), this part is indeed so much waiting and seeing!! Really trying to be realistic and not get overexcited but crossing all my fingers at the same time...

CannotBelieveImAskingThis · 25/01/2024 07:47

Hi all, I hope I'm okay to post here.

A year ago today, I got my BFP. I'm now sat on my sofa with my 3 month old. There will be lots of you who are worried or anxious- i know I was. Stay strong. In a year, you will be here too.

Love to you all.

KestrelW · 25/01/2024 08:06

@malimoon feel exactly the same - so excited but also don’t want to get ahead of myself!

@CannotBelieveImAskingThis thank you and congratulations!

pwblwc · 25/01/2024 08:59

@CannotBelieveImAskingThis that's so nice to hear! Congratulations!

I've woken up feeling horribly nauseous. Nausea didn't start properly for me until about week 8 last time, so I'm hoping this is a coincidence and not pregnancy nausea kicking off early.
