It’s recommended you wait until at least 6+3 to see a heartbeat. If they cabt find one it can sometimes just cause more anxiety.

AnnieMac89 · 28/01/2024 21:19

@Shootystealy I've booked in for 7 weeks + 3 , which is roughly the same time we did with DD1. Until that's done I think I'll still feel a bit Confused

HopefulTTC2024 · 28/01/2024 21:23

Hope you don't mind me joining!
Due 2nd Oct I think 🤞🏼

Bb542 · 28/01/2024 21:24

Ok maybe I've been totally naive but I honestly did not realise you count how many weeks pregnant you are from the date of your last period 😂 I thought it was from date of conception... anyone else? 😂 (it's my first... so forgive me... 😂)

Nic2908 · 28/01/2024 21:26

@Bb542 clear blue weeks is from conception. But pregnancy is day one of last period!!

I think that’s totally forgivable and understandable! It’s genuinely confusing. 😅

Hi everyone, hoping to join this thread. I found out on Thursday evening that I'm pregnant, which is a massive shock, as DH and I have been trying for over 4 and a half years with no success and have just been referred for IVF. We did 9 tests within 48 hours, we just couldn't believe it!

I don't know if anyone can help re. due dates, as I'm getting different results wherever I check (not just on what my due date is, but apparently how many weeks/days pregnant I am).

First date of last period was 24/12/2023, 32 day average cycle and conception either 6/7 Jan. 🤔
I also did a digital Clearblue test on Sat that said 3+ weeks (since conception)

PineappleBella · 29/01/2024 19:54

I work your dates out to be around 5 weeks 2 days! Congratulations on your positive test ❤️

aussiegirl89 · 29/01/2024 20:14

Congrats @Waitinggame42023 - I also think it's 5 weeks + 2 as it's counted from period date rather than conception date. 3+ on the clear blue is great as i think that means your HCG levels have been rising

Clear blue counts from conception so your estimated date seems about right too

Is anyone using a pregnancy tracking app? If so which one?

ttcchapter2 · 29/01/2024 20:17

I have a dull ache and sometimes (happened maybe twice) a sharp pain in my lower left side.. should I be worried? I'm super paranoid about ectopic pregnancies since my sister had one many years ago

I'm using Flo premium. I actually accidentally bought the premium version a few months ago thinking I was signing up to a free trial... so I may as well get the use out of it now 😂

Yes, using What to Expect, which is quite good!

If it keeps happening over the next few days, I would let your doc know and get a referral to the early pregnancy unit for a blood test and scan. I had a dull ache and constant bleeding with mine - at first I thought it was a miscarriage but my HCG levels were low yet rising so they knew something was up - it was hard to find on the scan but it was discovered I had an ectopic that time - it had ruptured hence the bleeding.

aussiegirl89 · 29/01/2024 20:38

@AnnieMac89 @Bb542 i was considering Flo but didn't want to pay haha! I'll check out what to expect ☺️ thank you!

Nic2908 · 29/01/2024 22:49

@aussiegirl89 I’m using pregnancy+ I really like it.

Bee49 · 30/01/2024 06:32

Haven’t posted in a very long time but just got a very faint positive on a cheapy and my April 2022 group for my son was so so lovely.
I haven’t told anyone yet. Hoping the lines continue to get darker and then will do a digital. My partner will only believe it if it’s written in words 🤣 so I want to wait until I can present him with a digital!
I had a miscarriage before my son so I know nothing is a given but hoping this all works out. Due date would be 13th October. Looking forward to getting to know you all. Apologies I haven’t had a chance to read through the whole thread but has anyone set up a Facebook page?

Ems1992 · 30/01/2024 06:54

Hello!
I had a positive pregnancy test a couple of days ago, due 8th October (our wedding anniversary :)) However, I’ve had two miscarriages in 2023 so I am being a lot more cautious this time around. We have been trying for a year now… and I have a 6 year old daughter who calls my husband dad… I did the pregnancy with her alone so this is a totally new experience for me. (Even having a scan with someone else there - all new!)
Hoping for a positive start to the year… We have wanted this so much.
congrats everyone xx

AnnieApple123 · 30/01/2024 10:25

How are you doing now @ttcchapter2 ? I had something similar in my last pregnancy but all turned out fine. It was very scary at the time though. I’d call 111 if you’re still worried.

AnnieApple123 · 30/01/2024 10:26

Welcome @Bee49 and @Ems1992 . I’m also here after a loss and feeling very cautious at the moment.

CluelessInLondon · 30/01/2024 10:35

Hi everyone, mind if I join? Got a positive test on Saturday and now 4+6 - if all goes well my due date will be around 4th October. I had a loss at 9 weeks in September last year though, so not really quite believing it yet and finding it hard to visualise actually getting through the first trimester!

AnnieApple123 · 30/01/2024 10:47

Welcome @CluelessInLondon . I’m feeling similar. I’m finding it hard even to visualize beyond the next few days if I’m honest!

Ems1992 · 30/01/2024 10:48

@AnnieApple123 I want to be excited and to talk about maternity leave and nurseries etc but I just can’t bring myself to allow it when I’ve done this already and it turned out to be bad news! I also think over the year we have spent THOUSANDS on pregnancy tests for reassurance 😂

ttcchapter2 · 30/01/2024 14:50

@aussiegirl89 thank you! I will keep an eye on it and call if needed

@AnnieApple123 i seem okay today, seem to only have the sharp pain occasionally and it depends on how i've been sitting/lying down. I did call on Thursday to let the midwife team know i had a pos test and they said someone will be in touch about booking appt but not heard anything yet. Just really hard to believe 🙈 keep expecting my period despite 4 positive tests and the GP test as positive too! How are you? xx

Jennifer89 · 30/01/2024 15:22

Hi Ladies, checking in. I have found out I am pregnant after 14 months ttc, so happy got here finally 😊. I had hycosy earlier this month so that may have done the trick. With bleeding last week I thought I was out as always spot before my period but must have been implantation bleeding or healing fron hycosy.
Tested this morning since the light bleeding stopped Saturday and period hasn't arrived and bam I am 4 weeks pregnant

My due date is 8th October.
