I had twinges in my tummy all day yesterday but nothing at all today. Feel totally fine today. Still so early days anyway but my stomach felt so weird yesterday.

How's everyone else feeling?

All my pregnancies (this is my third) have been a bit like this at this stage. It’s like you can’t win. Either the symptoms are there and you’re worried about them, or they disappear and you worry about that too!

Twinges galore, sore boobs, and slight nausea this morning put me off my morning tea!

Hi everyone, I'd like to join in! I'm due 1st October so am 5 weeks today! Got my BFP on the 21st and am super excited! I had a MMC last year, so I'm nervous but optimistic. I have a private scan booked in for the 8 week mark for reassurance, but so far feeling good, just a little nervous!
Weirdly, I've almost completely gone off chocolate which is confusing my DH as its usually my go to snack haha! No bad thing I suppose!
Excited to track along with everyone's journey here

Jennifer89 · 30/01/2024 22:52

Just wondered ladies are you tempted to make any purchases yet or holding out past 12 weeks? I think I will wait to after 12 weeks at least and then probably mainly maternity clothes as belly grows and a first cute gender neutral outfit..

I am considering to purchase a pregnancy book before the 12 weeks, any recommendations are welcome 😊

rosemarypancakes · 30/01/2024 22:59

I'm holding off until the 12 week scan, just in case. I do have a couple of books though which are great! 'Your no guilt pregnancy plan's by Rebecca Schiller, is really good for empowering you in making your own decisions regarding your pregnancy and birth. Also 'Pregnancy birth and beyond by Marie Louise, its a treasure trove of facts and info

PineappleBella · 31/01/2024 10:16

I was hit with a a wave of nausea this morning, so it begins 😂

Anybody else still feeling crampy and achy?

CluelessInLondon · 31/01/2024 10:17

@hermionelodge Congratulations!

@Bb542 I've been similar this week, sometimes just feeling a bit weird and unsettled, sometimes fine. Over the weekend I had quite a weird 'pulling' sensation which I know lots of people get so I'm not worried about it, but it's a bit of an odd feeling - not quite cramps but not normal either! I had it in my last pregnancy but feel as though that's not a great marker for anything with it having ended in a loss. Boobs are definitely sore as well - last time I developed really itchy boobs at around 6 weeks which drove me mad!

@rosemarypancakes Congratulations and I'm sorry to hear about your previous loss - hoping there are sticky beans this time for all of us who have had previous MCs.

@Jennifer89 Definitely not making any purchases until I get past the first trimester - obviously I know rationally I can't actually jinx anything, but right now I find it hard to envisage actually getting to the dating scan so definitely not getting ahead of myself! I might buy a book or two, but I almost feel like right now it's all about just getting through the next 7-8 weeks.

I'm 5 weeks today and I'm glad I didn't wait any longer to call the EGU for an early scan - the first date they can fit me in is the 16th! That's going to feel like a really long wait, although on the plus side I'll be over 7 weeks by then so if things are developing okay then there should definitely be something to see.

ttcchapter2 · 31/01/2024 10:33

Absolutely convinced myself my period was coming last night and then barely slept all night 😩🤣 why am I like this

AnnieApple123 · 31/01/2024 10:37

@ttcchapter2 I’ve had nights like that too. You’re not alone.

@Jennifer89 I like ‘What to Expect When You’re Expecting.’

aussiegirl89 · 31/01/2024 10:51

@CluelessInLondon I booked my scan today too and it's not till the 15th Feb! So I'll be 7 weeks too. It's the earliest they will do it here in Australia.

I did have another HCG blood test today and the levels were 3506! So feeling positive as last week it was 135.

Is anyone else here an IVF pregnancy?

I'm taking progesterone pessaries 3 x a day and I'm grateful for them but not for the state they leave my knickers in 🤣🙈

Same for me, could not stomach to finish my morning tea! I hope I don't have aversion to a cup of tea 🤣

MAY324 · 31/01/2024 11:14

I’ve been having like twinging pain in my left ovary and rang the EPU this morning. They just told me they couldn’t do much this early on 😫 I felt really sick at the start of the week but haven’t felt it since and now I’m worrying! This is my first time and it’s making me so worried. The insomnia isn’t helping 😂

Second vote for Your No Guilt Pregnancy Plan - I found that really helpful with my first.

CluelessInLondon · 31/01/2024 11:20

@MAY324 How many weeks are you? Mild cramping/pain isn't that unusual early on. Totally understandable that you're feeling worried about it, but try to remember that there's a lot going on in your body right now so some things might just feel a bit weird or uncomfortable.

Pololol · 31/01/2024 11:40

Hi everyone!
Hoping to join you all on here! I got my BFP last Thursday, and am due 06/10.
First pregnancy and I’m a bit of a worrier about health stuff so am constantly checking if I’ve had any bleeding.
Am experiencing cramps and waves of nausea, and now coming down with the cold DP had last week 😩. Wishing everyone happy and healthy pregnancies and sticky babies 💛

Shootystealy · 31/01/2024 11:58

Hi all, bit worried about my progression. Should the line have been darker today. My anxiety is kicking in 😔 today is my 16DPO

OCTOBER 2024 BABIES!
CluelessInLondon · 31/01/2024 12:27

@Pololol Welcome and congratulations. 😊

@Shootystealy There's probably a limit to what any further testing is going to tell you now - the lines have clearly darkened over time but all those tests are really designed to do is tell you that you're pregnant, not how the pregnancy is progressing. I know lots of people get super into line progression, but try and stop or at least reduce testing if you can - it just creates anxiety if you think the lines aren't dark enough. The tests are clearly telling you you're pregnant, go with it and book an early scan if you feel that would help. (And I say this as someone who took another test this morning just to double check I'm still pregnant before bothering the EGU about a scan 😂)

pwblwc · 21/01/2024 10:48

Got a bfp a couple of days ago. Due October 3! This will be my second, how about you?

I'm so jealous of all the October 3rd due dates, if I had a girl due then I'd call her Kady 🤭

Due 12th October! Fingers crossed it sticks!

MAY324 · 31/01/2024 12:47

I’m on 4weeks + 4 so very early days! It kind of feels like ovulation pain but obviously it can’t be that 😂

AnnieMac89 · 31/01/2024 13:28

When is everyone thinking of telling family/friends? I am dying to tell my sister now and the rest of our family once the first scan is done but feel like maybe I'll jinx it if I do!

My family knows, but I'm not telling friends

CluelessInLondon · 31/01/2024 13:41

I'm going to visit my family in a couple of weeks' time so I'm going to tell my parents and sister then (and we'll tell my in-laws the same weekend) - ideally I'd like to leave it a bit longer but can't really hide it if I turn up and just randomly don't want any wine and can't eat certain things! I've got my closest friend visiting me the weekend after so I'm going to tell her then, but after that I'm not telling anybody until I'm past the dating scan, if I get there.

Ilovebees · 31/01/2024 14:20

@Shootystealy hey , I think your lines look great , if it makes you feel better you can compare with my lines :)

I'm having my second! Some bloating already but mainly because my appetite is enormous!
