Hi everyone congratulations to you all on your BFPs! I just got a positive on Friday with a due date of around 28th October so hope you don't mind me joining the thread. I've been trying since June 2023 for my second, I have a little 2 year old boy. I've had 3 miscarriages in the past so not 100% confident this baby will stick but still would like to join the group in the hope it will! My little MN group from when my son was born was invaluable and we still talk to this day. Just like that group I'm due right at the end of the month 😅

KittyFantastica · 18/02/2024 19:56

Hi all, congrats on all the BFPs!

Lovely to see you @ButterflySkies ☺️

ButterflySkies · 18/02/2024 20:15

Thanks @MamaToDD I'll give them a go, i know exactly what you mean about the pregnacare - it did not help the sickness!

Thanks @KittyFantastica - ive just self referred to the maternity team and booked a private scan for almost 8 weeks... hoping I haven't got my hopes up too soon! And hope you're ok!! X

ButterflySkies · 18/02/2024 15:40

Hello! Jumping over from one of the TTC pages if you don't mind! Nice to see some names that look familiar over here :)

I think I'm 4+6 today and I am exhausted! Hot off an afternoon nap!

I'm going straight in with a question... pre natal vitamins... had a rough ride with them antagonising my nausea last time and looking for something I can stomach better this time (pregnacare is a non starter for me). Have tried a new brand today now my proceive has run out and they haven't sat well at all... any suggestions would be amazing! Thanks x

I’m just taking boots folic acid + vit d as pregnancy vits we’re giving me nausea

KittyFantastica · 18/02/2024 20:42

We booked a private scan for just after 6 weeks @ButterflySkies, mainly for peace of mind (or not). Either way, we would both rather know than get further along with our hopes up. It's sad the joy isn't quite there, but we're busy and hoping for the best :).

Cha678 · 18/02/2024 20:50

Congrats everyone! We’ve created a little FB group! It’s private so no one will see other than the people inside! Xx

Hey!! Due October 19th😊 what is a BFP? This is my first pregnancy and I feel horrific. I’m only 5.5 weeks. Is it normal to feel so crap? Tired, sluggish, nauseas, sore boobs and rapidly growing boobs!! I’m also eating everything 😭😭

mumsince2021 · 18/02/2024 21:50

@Cha678 thanks for sharing the group. I'm too scared to join just now as I know you can see it in a Facebook search so my friends may see I'm in the group (I think?) plus that and it's sp early 😅 I'll happily join in a couple of months if things are going well and I don't need to hide it anymore too!

VP2024 · 18/02/2024 22:23

Hi all ♥️

Congratulations to you all.
Im tentatively joining as had a positive test today completely unexpected!
Im still getting my head around it as it will be baby number 3..
I have a 6 year and a 7 month old!
Rough calculation of a 24th October due date xx

LuxeBiscuit · 18/02/2024 22:35

@Ais90 BFP = big fat positive (pregnancy test). Same for me, I had plans to go out today but I was so exhausted that I had a nap instead and I'm still on the sofa.

ToeBeans24 · 18/02/2024 22:50

Hello :) I got my BFP on the 13th Feb! Baby #1 for us due 23rd Off :)

ive booked an early 6 week scan just because I get so anxious about everything. My first few positives were super faint but they got darker towards the end of the week so 🤞🏻

May test again in a week or 2 with another digital.

i am having symptoms though which I take as a positive! Sore boobs, really tired, waking up with headaches and definitely peeing more!

Fullofconfusion · 18/02/2024 23:02

We had a family day out today and I am exhausted. I think I yawned from start to finish. I think I’m about 6 and a half weeks pregnant now. I looked at my partner today and said, please tell me I don’t have another nearly 8 months of this! Still my 5 yr old had a lovely time. I saw a tiny baby in a sling today and it made me almost tear up at the thought of having such a tiny little one again. The hormones are definitely hitting hard. Hope everyone else has had a good weekend

Trifficult · 19/02/2024 07:23

Can I join please, got a bfp last week due on 24th of October and have a 4.5yo from previous relationship

CharlieBalf · 19/02/2024 10:16

Hi all, just to say we had our 6wk scan this morning and saw tiny baby with a heartbeat 💓

Measuring at 5+6 which threw me a bit as last scan a week ago was measuring 5+3. But I guess it's hard to get an accurate measurement when they're this small.

Feeling happy but still anxious as next scan isn't until 12 weeks.

CluelessInLondon · 19/02/2024 10:47

Happy new week everyone! I've been away for the weekend so trying to catch up with all of the posts - lots going on!

@nervousn3lly That's good news about your scan and seeing the heartbeat - and we are due date twins, I'm also 2nd October (at the moment anyway, think they are often adjusted at the 12 week scan).

@Oct24 How exciting that you got to see the heartbeat already, bet that was a nice surprise so early on!

Congratulations and welcome to all of the new BFPs @Cha678 @hopingforapeainapod @3littlesunshines @Jammymare @Itsasomething @ButterflySkies @OneSunnyFox @shadawayo @snugasapug @mumsince2021 @Ais90 @VP2024 @ToeBeans24 @Trifficult (so many new people, I hope I didn't miss anyone!)

@Cha678 Thanks for setting up the Facebook group - I'm going to hold off joining for now as it still feels so early, but if I get past the point where I had a loss last time I will definitely join!

@Sunandsea13 Glad you got that 3+ on the digital, there is something very reassuring about it! Hopefully you feel like you can relax at least a bit now. Did you book your early scan? I remember you weren't sure how soon to have it.

@tryingforbaba I've been mostly keeping up my exercise routine - I go to a couple of exercise classes a week and have a personal trainer as well, I've had to miss one or two classes because I've been feeling ill but I think I've been lucky that my symptoms aren't too bad so I can mostly keep going at the moment. Haven't told my PT that I'm pregnant yet but am just subtly turning down the opportunity to do certain exercises that I feel a bit nervous about (even though I know most things are fine right now as I'm so early on, I'm trying to avoid anything lying on my stomach or with any weight on my pelvis). I think you just have to do what you can though and not beat yourself up about it if you're struggling.

@PineappleBella That's lovely news about your scan! Will you have any more now or wait for 12 weeks?

@CharlieBalf It's definitely hard to get measurements when they are so tiny, but it's good that you've been able to see the heartbeat this time. Could you get another scan privately to have a milestone sooner than 12 weeks, if your EPU won't do a reassurance scan for you?

2doggos · 19/02/2024 12:26

Hello! Do you mind if I join?

I got my BFP on 8th Feb. I tracked my ovulation through natural cycles and my predicted due date is 21st Oct :)

I've booked an early scan for in a couple weeks and I think I will be 7w5d for that.

AnxiousD · 19/02/2024 14:26

Hi all. Are you booking private early scans or requesting them through the antenatal team? Thanks

CluelessInLondon · 19/02/2024 14:29

@2doggos Welcome and congratulations! 😊

@AnxiousD My early scans are through the EGU at my local hospital beause of a previous miscarriage - assuming you're in the UK, the NHS won't generally scan before 12 weeks unless there's a specific issue like heavy bleeding and/or pain, but some EPU/EGUs will do early scans for women who have had one or more previous losses.

AnxiousD · 19/02/2024 14:31

OK thanks. I had an early scan with my DS because of a previous loss, so doubt I'll get that with this pregnancy. Will look at booking a private one.

Holl89 · 19/02/2024 15:08

Hi everyone!
I have my early scan with EPU on Wednesday.. I’ll be 6 weeks 6 days. I’m absolutely terrified as I had a mmc in October 🥺🥺🥺

mumsince2021 · 19/02/2024 15:29

@Holl89 are you the same Holly from the conception TTC after loss? If so good to see you here 👋

@AnxiousD I don't do early scans partly because I know it won't change any outcome. I'd just be worried again the next day! I managed to wait until the NHS 12 week scan with my son. None of my 3 miscarriages have been officially noted as I hadn't called the hospital to register my pregnancies by then as the losses were all at about 6 weeks and I'd only ever register when it's about 7-8 weeks along. If they were offered to me through the NHS earlier I probably would go though. Just not keen to throw the money at private scanning companies when it could end in loss. My friend booked an early scan with WTTW and she miscarried days before her scan and they kept her money despite her not getting her scan.

Holl89 · 19/02/2024 15:32

@mumsince2021 I am!! It’s so nice to see you here too 💗. How far along are you? X

mumsince2021 · 19/02/2024 15:38

@Holl89 only got my positive on Friday so not very far... looking like a due date of 28th October if that helps 😅 what's your date?

CluelessInLondon · 19/02/2024 16:41

@Holl89 Good luck for your scan, I hope it's good news and you get the reassurance that you're looking for. ❤

ToeBeans24 · 19/02/2024 17:00

@Holl89 good luck in your scan ! Please let us know how you get on! Mine isn’t until next week when I’ll supposedly be 6w5 however I think I implanted late from my tests and faint lines so I’m worried they won’t be able to see much / mark me behind. But at least I’m expecting it I guess! Congrats ❤️
