Welcome all 🫶🏼

@cm3212 like Ellen said, you’re def pregnant with a Hcg of 242 and it’s more about the doubling time. At 20dpo (I’m an ivf so 15dp5dt) my hcg was 767 and then at 22dpo my hcg was 2013. So my level must have been much lower than Ellen’s at 14dpo, but at least it doubled!

cm3212 · 15/02/2024 17:13

@73pheonix thank you & congratulations to you!

Ok, so I will wait and see what Monday's result brings .. with it been 5 days later, I should expect a much higher number which will be reassuring 🥰

Ellenn · 15/02/2024 17:17

@cm3212 its definitely not a false positive for sure though so you can celebrate that!!! Fingers crossed all increasing nicely for your next one 🤞 x

@73pheonix congrats on your pregnancy! I recognise your name I think we probably are on a similar thread somewhere! Do you have a scan coming up? I’m getting really anxious for mine and still have a week to wait 🙈

AnnieApple123 · 15/02/2024 17:31

@cm3212 Sorry you’re having so much anxiety over HCG. This is my third pregnancy and I’ve had very different levels in all of them. They can start off slow and then pick up or vice versa. I’ve always found this site good for looking at the changes: www.wantbaby.info

cm3212 · 15/02/2024 17:35

Thank you @AnnieApple123 to be honest, I wasn't too concerned with the result until the dr said your hcg is elevated but it's borderline, I think that's what confused me.

I will see what happens on the next one and hope for the doubling! X

AnnieApple123 · 15/02/2024 17:49

@cm3212 Yes that doesn’t sound like a very helpful thing for the doctor to have said really. 🤞🏻for you.

CluelessInLondon · 15/02/2024 18:06

@thislittlenugget I had no idea about the sneezing either, I just got curious this morning so I googled and discovered that pregnancy rhinitis is a thing!

@zunzub Welcome and congratulations to you. ☺️ That's early for a booking appointment - some people on this thread have been told not to even chase up their booking appointment until they get to 10 weeks!

I got my letter through for my dating scan today - annoyingly it's while I'm away on holiday at the end of March so I'll have to see if I can move it to before I go. I've got my first scan at EGU tomorrow and I'm feeling really anxious about it now - absolutely dreading the possibility of bad news. 😕

spudnik1 · 15/02/2024 18:13

I need distraction ! I am currently sat in a gym with DS does jujitsu. I feel so sick 🤢
Last pregnancy I had no sickness and so far with this one I haven't had any , and now it decides to arrive ! Why do they have yo keep talking about who's put snot on the mat !

Poppypear · 15/02/2024 18:15

CluelessInLondon · 15/02/2024 09:52

@Poppypear My husband will be coming to my booking appointment - I know he doesn't really need to as I have enough information on his medical history to cover that bit of the conversation, but he wants to be there to support me (especially while I have my blood taken, I'm really bad with needles so I need a hand-hold for blood tests!). In my previous pregnancy the booking appointment was a really negative experience as well - I was incredibly anxious because I was bleeding and the midwife was really offhand and just behaved as if she wanted to get the paperwork done and get me out of the door, so instead of arranging a scan for me she sent me to A&E to queue for 45 minutes just to book in a scan the next day at EGU. So I'm not really looking forward to having another booking appointment and need all the support I can get!

@Jacky86 @OctBaby24 Congratulations and welcome. 😊

Is anybody else finding that they're a lot more sneezy than usual? I feel almost like my hay fever is kicking in but it's only February! Had no idea before now that pregnancy could cause sneezing...

Thanks for your advice and sorry you had such a horrible experience at your first appointment.

73pheonix · 15/02/2024 18:16

@Ellenn yeah I recognise your name too, maybe from an ivf thread!

yessss, I had very slow rising hcg to begin with this FET. have been concerned about ectopic. Trying to convince myself it’s because my frostie was taking its time defrosting… not sure that’s a thing!!? 😂 I have my scan tomorrow in Oxford at 11:30 and to say I’m nervous is an understatement!
Hoping for the best, expecting the worst? I’ll be (hopefully) 6+1. When’s your scan?

aussiegirl89 · 15/02/2024 18:27

@Oct24 @ttcchapter2 @nervousn3lly

This week has been very rough! I will try that hot drink for sure! I saw someone on TikTok promoting morning sickness sweets lol I'm actually off sweet food atm which is weird because I have such a sweet tooth.

I discovered yesterday that if I start retching, I can eat a dry cracker and it calms my need to vomit a bit.

I was desperate for pregnancy symptoms now I'm in nausea hell 🙃

LuxeBiscuit · 15/02/2024 19:59

@CluelessInLondon all the best for your scan tomorrow.

Waitinggame42023 · 15/02/2024 20:03

aussiegirl89 · 15/02/2024 10:37

I don't know why they call it morning sickness because I'm throwing up every night before bed! Can't seem to digest my dinner properly 🙃

I found a tip online that said to buy ginger juice and mix it with water (like cordial) and sip on that throughout the day

Has anyone tried that?

I had this too- I'd only had on/off nausea until last night.

Had indigestion all evening after finishing dinner, went up to bed at 10 but started throwing up! It felt just like you said, like I can't digest my dinner!

CharlieBalf · 15/02/2024 20:07

Just got my booking appointment, I'll be 8 weeks on the dot. We have to call direct to the community midwife here (herefordshire) and they call back with an appointment so really easy.

@Poppypear I've done all my appointments -(baby #3 on the way fingers crossed) by myself. They always ask me if I'm safe at home and make a lot of domestic abu*e checks so I've always presumed they prefer the mum by herself. I don't have any history in that area so maybe it's just my county ticking boxes etc. Maybe call and ask beforehand? I'm sure they won't have a problem with your hubby coming to the booking appointment though 😊

Ellenn · 15/02/2024 20:32

@73pheonix ahh amazing! I really hope it all goes well and you get a lovely heartbeat ❤️ you are just a few days ahead of me! There seems to be massive variations in hcg levels between people so hopefully just a slow starter to get going!! Was this a FET or fresh transfer?

My scan isn’t till a week today so still a bit to wait to go yet 😬 scanxiety is at an all time high! I’m totally going crazy symptom spotting as my nausea is on/off and not constant? So makes me super paranoid wish I either had it or not 🙈 xx

73pheonix · 15/02/2024 20:36

@Ellenn it was a FET transfer 😬😬😬

ahhh I really hope so.

I barely have anyyyy symptoms bar an occasional boob twinge 😂 and just feeling a bit fussy about food. Even did another pregnancy test tonight to make sure I’m not going bonkers. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Nic2908 · 15/02/2024 21:26

i don’t know about night owl. I’m bloody exhausted all day everyday and with a three year old well…. You know. I also can’t get warm…. I am constantly cold, putting the heating on or sat with a blanket round me. I feel like I’m turning into a nana!!

thislittlenugget · 16/02/2024 08:25

@zunzub Welcome, and congratulations!! 🤗

@CluelessInLondon Huge good luck for your scan today!

Ellenn · 16/02/2024 08:31

@73pheonix good luck for your scan 🤞🤞we are all guilty of doing a pregnancy test when we start getting paranoid even though it tells us absolutely nothing more than we already know 🤣

I was paranoid yesterday wasn’t feeling nauseous but today I woke up and don’t feel great. Do other symptoms really come and go? I don’t seem to get constant symptoms but just makes me worry when I don’t have them!

thislittlenugget · 16/02/2024 09:11

@Ellenn If it helps, I'm in exactly the same boat! I did IVF so the first couple of weeks I had tons of symptoms, then they stopped and yesterday I was getting worried, and today I feel pretty nauseous. I did ask my IVF clinic yesterday and she seemed to find it odd me asking that and was like "yes that's normal"... so hopefully that can put both of our minds at rest!

mrssunshinexxx · 16/02/2024 09:25

Hey please can I join. I've had a big shock as not planned and had one oopsie which I know is all it takes but what are thee chances! This will be baby number 3 I have 2 girls 2 and 3 x

Joey2011 · 16/02/2024 09:37

Hey my turn to join :)
So a bit of history. I has a mmc end of october 2023 at 10+2.
Forward to now. After my last af on 13th january, for the first time I tracked my ovulation and peaked on the 27th at cd15. Decided to do a pregnacy test at 9dpo and wasnt expecting to see anything and low and behold there was a vvfl :) Im now 5weeks pregnant today.
Been testing a lot as I think this has reassured me that it is there. CB weeks was taken today.
Hoping that this 1 sticks past that 10week mark.
Problem is that I have had a very bad cough now for 2weeks that just isnt getting any better. Rang doctors back after a week today and they have given me some antibiotics and assured me they are safe.

Ive also booked a private early scan at 7+2weeks as what really upset me last time was I never got to see my 'nugget'

Filled the form out for the midwife so waiting to hear from her but she only works on a monday.

So yeah that is me :)

CluelessInLondon · 16/02/2024 10:59

@73pheonix Good luck for your scan today, I hope it goes well!

@mrssunshinexxx @Joey2011 Welcome and congratulations to both of you.

I had my scan this morning - was really anxious beforehand and it was quite weird being back at the EGU (and being scanned by the same sonographer who had to tell me last time that my pregnancy was over), but everything is looking good. I'm 7+2 today and baby is measuring 7+1 with a nice heartbeat. It looks a bit like a potato but it's a healthy potato right now and that's all I really wanted! They're going to scan me again in two weeks' time on the same day as my booking appointment to check things are still looking okay, but right now it feels a little bit more real and I'm hoping I can relax just a bit.

waiting4hope · 16/02/2024 11:08

Ivf baby here after 8years ttc ❤️❤️ due October 6th! Still in shock.
