@Ellenn @AnnieApple123 @Freddie289 thank you for your reassuring words. The spotting seems to have stopped 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 back to just progesterone pessary gunk now 🤣🙃

Nic2908 · 06/02/2024 21:34

Ahh huge welcome to all the new starters. I’m really crap at writing individualised messages I do apologise. It seems that there is a really lovely range of women on this thead. All ages and all walks of pregnancy. There is going to be lots of support.

I am feeling like crap today, as in ill. I’m feeling all flu like which is not great. I’ve also drank almost 4l of water today and I still feel so dehydrated. Is this normal?

Ellenn · 06/02/2024 21:39

@aussiegirl89 ah these lovely pessaries honestly they make such a mess 🙄 I’m glad it has stopped! Hope it continues to settle down, I’d been told sometimes it’s actually the pessaries that can make you more likely to spot as well?

@Nic2908 sorry to hear you aren’t feeling great, definitely rest up I hope it passes quickly. Sounds like quite a lot of water, definitely drink what you feel you need as staying hydrated is always going to help 😊 get eating those oranges!

I am also on badger notes! In June last year we still had paper notes… So this is new, hopefully it all runs smoothly :) but so far so good, as a couple of hours after registering on there I got my first appointment date on my nhs app! X

Very tentatively stepping into this chat after some good news this morning🥰

ShouldItho · 07/02/2024 08:00

Hi everyone I had a positive test at the weekend and a 2-3 weeks on clear blue. Annoyingly I’m not really sure when my last period was but I think it might have been around 5th January. Would this make me nearly 5 weeks?

CluelessInLondon · 07/02/2024 08:05

@Sunandsea13 Welcome and congratulations! Is this your first pregnancy/do you have any children already?

@ShouldItho Yes, if your last period started on 5th January you are 4 weeks 5 days today. The Clear Blue tests give you an estimate of weeks from conception so 2-3 would be right. Congratulations! 😊

I decided to do a digital test today, wasn't sure if it was a good idea or not as I never got a 3+ in my last pregnancy and whilst I know that doesn't necessarily mean anything bad, it was kind of the first hint of things not being right. Got a 3+ this morning so even though it's no guarantee of anything, it has helped me feel a little more relaxed and I might even step away from the tests now! 😂

Ellenn · 07/02/2024 08:13

@CluelessInLondon thats good to hear! You must have high hcg levels, how far along do you think you are? It’s nice to get reassurance when you get the correct stage on them although I know they can be a bit dodgey sometimes too!

@Sunandsea13 hey 👋 how are you feeling?

I’m 4+3 wks today so still super early!!

Sunandsea13 · 07/02/2024 08:22

@CluelessInLondon @Ellenn I am feeling very shocked as I have PCOS and thought this would take a long time. I’m quite young compared to the average age for pregnancy so my friends aren’t trying yet so it’s hard not being able to talk about it! It will be our first baby and pregnancy so just trying to take it one step at a time. Really want to tell my Mum but feel it’s too early. Feeling very lucky. Symptoms wise I am a bit knackered, but nothing else. I think I am no more than 10-16 DPO (hard to tell with PCOS) so I think I am due mid-ish of October, maybe earlier :) I got my positive on CB digital. Going to wait a few days to do the weeks indicator as I know that takes longer to show a positive! Going to do a blood test tomorrow to reassure myself though :) Can’t wait to get to know you all!

Sunandsea13 · 07/02/2024 08:32

Also, does anyone know if I should keep taking Infolic Alpha? Have been taking that with Proceive Max but now worried I’ve been taking too much folic acid and inositol?

4LeafCloverBaby · 07/02/2024 08:33

@Sunandsea13 welcome 😊😘

LuxeBiscuit · 07/02/2024 08:54

Hi everyone! Can I join as well. I am 4 weeks today and had 2-3 weeks on a clear blue this morning - so very early on. I hope you're all doing well.

Freddie289 · 07/02/2024 08:59

@MamaToDD Hi, I feel exactly the same as you about symptoms! With my DD I was really sick also from about week 6 so I'm super vigilant about getting that again although I know people who where sick as a dog with their first and had no sickness with other pregnancies, and vice versa, you cant help but compare though! Although the sickness was an awful feeling first time round it's funny how I'm now willing it to come! I wretched a bit this morning when putting something in a carrier bag - the smell of those Bag for Life plastic carrier bags was always a trigger for me so maybe this is the start of it, I'm starting to notice all the smells around the house now too 😂I suppose we should be careful what we wish for!

CluelessInLondon · 07/02/2024 09:14

@Ellenn I'm 6 weeks today based on LMP - counting down now to my first scan which is next Friday. I'm still defaulting to assuming the pregnancy won't progress because of my previous loss, but I guess a bit of caution isn't going to do any harm - last time I just kind of assumed everything would be fine and it wasn't, so maybe this time it will be!

@LuxeBiscuit Welcome and congratulations! 😊

It’s my first pregnancy (ivf) so hard to know what’s a symptom and what’s a side effect of the meds. I’m willing to feel something so I know it’s progressing well. I’ve got a viability scan in the clinic in 2 weeks (I’ll be 7 weeks +1 day) so really looking forward to that just for reassurance. Only symptoms I’ve had is bloating (could easily be the 2 lots of progesterone I’m on) and sore heavy feeling boobs. I don’t know when symptoms should start appearing or if this could be it

Sunandsea13 · 07/02/2024 11:10

Has anyone had a transvaginal ultrasound scan at 6 weeks? Apparently they can feel the heartbeat if using that type?

Oct24 · 07/02/2024 11:12

@Sunandsea13 I did with my last pregnancy (and will with this one in two weeks.) saw the flutter and heard my son's heartbeat at exactly 6 weeks.

4LeafCloverBaby · 07/02/2024 11:15

@Sunandsea13 i have booked a scan for Sunday so will be 6+4 & they said it will be transvaginal & they should hopefully be able to see the heartbeat but sometimes they can only see from 7 weeks

CluelessInLondon · 07/02/2024 11:16

@Sunandsea13 6 weeks is about the earliest you'll get to see a heartbeat - if you can then it might be worth waiting a little bit longer as if baby is even a few days behind you might not get to see much and it could create unnecessary anxiety.

Sunandsea13 · 07/02/2024 11:28

@4LeafCloverBaby @CluelessInLondon @Oct24 Thanks so much! I’m finding it hard to figure out how many weeks/days I am as my last period was Nov (PCOS). I test twice a week and had ovulation confirmed via scan on 29th so I can’t see me being less then 10DPO since the CB digital came back positive. Might just add 4 weeks from today so that will be minimum 7 weeks ?

Holl89 · 07/02/2024 11:34

@Bb542 🥰🥰🥰 me too!!
so happy it happened quickly for you 💗

4LeafCloverBaby · 07/02/2024 11:57

@Sunandsea13 what date did you ovulate? If you ovulated on the 29th Jan it will make you roughly 5+2

LuxeBiscuit · 07/02/2024 11:57

@CluelessInLondon thank you!

Sunandsea13 · 07/02/2024 12:05

@4LeafCloverBaby not sure really. I gave up testing because of PCOS but I know I definitely wasn’t ovulating post 29 Jan as I did to OPKs after that!
