Anyone else having their second? Super bloated I look about 4 months pregnant 🤣

Yes! I normally live in high waisted jeans but they feel soooo uncomfortable at the moment.

hermionelodge · 31/01/2024 19:26

@PineappleBella I'm still feeling quite crampy. Period was due to arrive today so been feeling extra nervous all day expecting to find blood each bathroom visit! So far so good! Hope the cramps calm down in the next few days. They are accompanied by very tender boobs and a lot of nausea so taking those two things as a good sign.

Spoke to my midwife today and have my booking in appt 20th Feb! So that's the next thing to countdown to

@aussiegirl89 I’m pregnant with a PGD baby after losing a little boy last year to a very rare condition. I’m on Prontogest progesterone injections which are pretty nasty. My clinic are obsessed with HCG and want me to do a fourth blood test tomorrow.

Nic2908 · 31/01/2024 20:21

@AnnieApple123 forgive my ignorance but what is a pgd baby?

I’ve had such a stressful 24 hours and now my belly is feeling all aching.

I can’t remember who was asking but I’ve got the pregnancy day by day book (lady in striped t shirt on the front). It’s a huge heavy book but it’s colourful and so full of information. It’s great.

how we all feeling? Any cravings or anything yet?

FoxesinBoxes · 31/01/2024 20:23

Can I join? According to my app I’m due on the 6th October. I’m 34 and this is my first ever pregnancy and I’m still in a state of shock and disbelief, it does not feel real at all. We’ve been trying to a while and I honestly did not think this day would come. So far feeling incredibly nauseous and crampy, so apart from the excitement I can’t say I’m really signing about the miracle of creating right now. 🙄

AnnieApple123 · 31/01/2024 20:29

Welcome @FoxesinBoxes

@Nic2908 PGD is pre-implantation genetic diagnosis where embryos are tested for genetic conditions.

FoxesinBoxes · 31/01/2024 20:35

This might be a bit tmi but I’ve been having some very light brown spotting today and I’m a bit anxious. It was clearly old blood and was only there when I wiped but I’m really worried. Is this normal?

Nic2908 · 31/01/2024 20:37

@FoxesinBoxes welcome and congratulations!!

@AnnieApple123 wow that’s really interest. Do you mind me asking what the genetic condition was last year at all?

Bb542 · 31/01/2024 20:42

Such a weird day today. I'm 4+2. One minute I'm feeling dizzy and nauseous. The next I want to eat everything in sight 🤣

I still haven't contacted my GP yet to make my booking appointment. I must do that tomorrow 😨

AnnieApple123 · 31/01/2024 20:51

@FoxesinBoxes I had that in my first pregnancy, on and off over a few days (I think 3 or 4 total?). All turned out fine.

@Nic2908 My little boy’s condition was so rare that it doesn’t have a name. There have only been a few documented cases of it ever. It’s obviously hugely reassuring to know that this baby doesn’t have an

FoxesinBoxes · 31/01/2024 20:57

@AnnieApple123 thank you! That’s very reassuring. I’m 4 weeks and three days so it feels late for implantation bleeding so I have no idea where it came from. This is my first experience of pregnancy so I think I’m just driving myself mad with anxiety at everything.

Mine was at just about the same point actually. I’m think 4 weeks to 4+3.

FoxesinBoxes · 31/01/2024 21:35

Thank you. That’s really reassuring

AnnieApple123 · 31/01/2024 21:48

@FoxesinBoxes Glad to have helped. Of course I then worried when I didn’t get implantation bleeding in my next pregnancy. It’s like we really can’t win!

PineappleBella · 01/02/2024 08:46

Those who are having an early scan, when are you booking it for? I want to see as much as possible. But also don’t want to be too early and see nothing! I’m 4 weeks 1 day x

I'm 5wks today and have mine booked for 7+4. That's roughly the same time I did last time round - the image obviously isn't much to look at 😂 but they got a good clear heartbeat and everything was where it should be and that's all I'm hoping for!

pwblwc · 01/02/2024 09:02

@PineappleBella I've booked one for 8 weeks, I don't think I would go any earlier than 7 weeks as there's a risk you won't see anything if your dates are slightly off and that would be super stressful.

aussiegirl89 · 01/02/2024 09:03

I'm booked for 7 weeks + 1! Counting down the days til 15th Feb 😬

hermionelodge · 01/02/2024 09:18

I'm thinking of booking for 8 weeks, so around 25th Feb. Seems so long off though. I'm holding off booking for another week or so as I'm just so nervous, the thought of losing the baby and having to phone to cancel a scan is filling me with dread. Symptoms seem to have calmed down a lot today which doesn't help 😕

nervousn3lly · 01/02/2024 09:25

I've booked for 6+2 I no it's early but I did the same with my 1st and my last pregnancy and knew from that scan something was wrong and started bleeding couple days later we just felt we needed that one and will probably have another before 12weeks if all is well as my anxiety is too much I just need to do it I got a positive test at 9dpo which is obviously quite early so that's why we also decided on the 6+2 scan.
I no I'm crazy doing so early but sometimes u have to do what u have to do to help you through don't u x

hermionelodge · 01/02/2024 09:46

@nervousn3lly ah absolutely, you do whatever helps you and puts your mind at ease. We are all different and all handle things differently.

Last pregnancy I ended up with scans at 5.5 weeks (private, could only see the sac and was measuring a week less), 7.5 weeks(epu for bleeds), 8 weeks(freebie from first private can since nothing was showing first time) and then I snuck in another one a couple of days before my 12 week scan 🙈 I had a few bleeds etc so was very nervous..this time I hope to be calmer and spend less on scans, but it's still very early days so we will see haha!

4LeafCloverBaby · 01/02/2024 10:18

I have booked one for 10+4 on 9th March so I have a scan to show my Mum & Sisters on Mother’s Day 🥰

CluelessInLondon · 01/02/2024 10:41

My early scan will be at 7+2, all being well - with my local EGU because of my previous loss. Feels like ages away! @PineappleBella Definitely don't book anything before 6 weeks, you won't be able to see much and it can just make you anxious - if you can bring yourself to hold off until you're closer to 7 (I know it's really hard!) you're more likely to be able to see a heartbeat.

How is everyone feeling this morning?
