Hi, can I join? I'm 4 weeks 4 days pregnant, due 25th or 27th September (depending on which due date calculator I use). Currently hungry and thirsty pretty much all the time and struggling with sleep (before this I never had any issues!) but other than that I don't have any significant symptoms.

RachSmile · 20/01/2024 10:17

Hi all, Iโ€™d love to join too! Iโ€™ve been reading through the threads and loving to hear everyoneโ€™s stories and symptoms. Iโ€™m 7w4d today with my first, have a private scan booked in for next Sunday and it canโ€™t come quick enough! Finding it so strange that my midwife appointment isnโ€™t until 13 Feb, literally feel like I donโ€™t know what Iโ€™m doing right now and would love to have it sooner but that was the first available I was told. Seems to be a big problem in Scotland trying to get these appointments!

Bakerbean · 20/01/2024 10:18

Hello all!

Iโ€™ve been following tentatively in the background since getting my long awaited BFP on 4th January! I read the entire previous thread with such a huge mix of emotions for everyone, and have found a lot of comfort in reading about so many similar worries/anxieties/symptoms or lack of! This is my first pregnancy, and now at (estimated) 6+5, itโ€™s finally starting to sink in - although I still have a lot of fears! We had a lot of health scares whilst TTC and were starting to think we would need some help in getting pregnant. Iโ€™ve wanted this for as long as I can remember so Iโ€™m just hoping we have a sticky little bean!

Our estimated due date is 9th September 2024. We have our first midwife appointment on 2nd Feb, and a private scan booked for 3rd Feb, when we think we will be nearly 9 weeks! Eeek!

So lovely to have found this amazing online support network - hope youโ€™re happy for me to join in!

@siobhanmt247
thank you! Iโ€™ll look into magnesium, I also read it could be due to low iron. I donโ€™t know if I have low iron or not because Iโ€™ve not had my bloods done yet I was craving nuts on week 4 though which are rich in Iron and magnesium, so maybe there is a correlation there.

@plinkyblonkyes this is my first, everything is new! Is it your first aswell? To be honest Iโ€™ve been laying low with the symptoms, Iโ€™ve had nausea which is not heavy every day, more like every other day. Itโ€™s not strong enough to make me vomit, itโ€™s manageable. I have sore boobs here and there, but sore boobs have never been my thing, I donโ€™t even get them around period. Had all sorts of belly and Lower back pains last week, but a private doctor prescribed me progestorone and those pains have subsided since taking it.
I have some smell aversions, some taste changes and I do tend to eat more now, but my most prevalent symptom has been the absolute tiredness. Iโ€™m on vacation and could easily be spending all day in bed. I donโ€™t want to do nothing. Snorlax!!

Xur · 20/01/2024 10:24

@Bakerbean welcome, we have the same due date๐Ÿ˜‚
Also happy to welcome @Hydrangea60 and @RachSmile
Im happy to learn our blabbing has helped others who had not participated yet ๐Ÿ’“

Bakerbean · 20/01/2024 10:43

@ForeverHopeful67 Iโ€™m 6+5 and still cramping regularly! Thankfully nothing too intense or painful, but enough to want to use a warm wheaty bag sometimes. Iโ€™m just trying to trust that itโ€™s my body making space for the growing bean ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

MudandMoet · 20/01/2024 10:59

Hi new ladies, congratulations!! The more the merrier! Lots more sticky beans and upcoming September babies ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฉท

@HRP1990 thanks for the recommendation I'll get googling! xx

Ahh bless you @VT6 sending big hugs. I honestly know exactly how you feel right now, it's not even like you're not tired, you just cannot sleep for trying! It's bloody crap! Have a lovely lounging steady day (I am too) xx

@Xur I love the sound of the hugging pillows ๐Ÿ˜‚ I suffer with restless legs too, always have. It goes for weeks and then comes back. I also am the most restless person ever in bed, I toss and turn for hours so I can't see how it can get any worse in fairness. Xx

@HoneyandSunshine thanks for the link, will do some googling, funnily enough I use a magnesium spray to help with restless legs so that what you've linked makes sense. Xx

Bakerbean · 20/01/2024 11:18

@Xur we do! How exciting! Still seems like absolutely years away at this point doesnโ€™t it ๐Ÿ˜…, Iโ€™m just desperate to get to that first scan, and then to 12 weeks! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

siobhanmt247 · 20/01/2024 11:44

When did everyone start cramping? I haven't yet. I didn't with my mmc but did with DD so Im starting to get a bit worried about that too

ForeverHopeful67 · 20/01/2024 11:44

@Bakerbean congratulations! It's good to know I'm not alone, this is my second pregnancy and I'm sure I didn't have this much cramping with my first so it is seriously stressing my out ๐Ÿ™ˆ
It's not all the time, today I'm wondering whether it was because what wore felt a little too snug!
Who knows roll on the 12 week scans ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜… xx

I had bad cramping last weekend for the 2 days after my BFP now it just comes and goes. I was really worried but Google says some people get it and some don't but every twinge sends my anxiety through the roof

MrsB2019x · 20/01/2024 11:54

@siobhanmt247 I havenโ€™t been cramping at all really. DD was a big baby and Iโ€™m wondering if my uterus is like a sack now and doesnโ€™t have to do much stretching ๐Ÿคฃ

HRP1990 · 20/01/2024 11:57

I didnโ€™t have any cramping in my first pregnancy, but I am with this one.. I wonder if itโ€™s a gender thing! Perhaps too early to tell, but I definitely feel different this time around.

I know weโ€™re all hoping for a healthy baby, but does anyone have any preference on gender?

siobhanmt247 · 20/01/2024 11:57

@rupertbear91 odd isnt it. Scared if you do get it but scared if you don't. I always thought they were baby snuggling in deeper
@MrsB2019x maybe that's it

Xur · 20/01/2024 11:57

@MrsB2019x maaam, are you trying to say youโ€™re a lowkey kangaroo? ๐Ÿ˜‚

@siobhanmt247 I cramped on second part of week 4, a lot of week 5, and less on week 6 from the pills, but my uterus hurt today regardless.

Im a cramping veteran, think my uterus now lives a life of its own.

As long as it's a healthy baby I don't really mind. But deep down I would love a girl and my partner would love a boy ๐Ÿ˜‚ i will be 16 weeks on my birthday so told him we need to go for an early gender scan to find out .... praying we get that far that is!

That would be such a lovely surprise to find out in your birthday! Someone told me about those Chinese gender calendars that say they can predict gender, you just go by your age and month you conceived.. it was correct with our first DC so Iโ€™m intrigued this time around lol. Iโ€™d love one of each!

rupertbear91 · 20/01/2024 12:14

I love stuff like that. It says boy so time will tell ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Cat2022 · 20/01/2024 12:15

@HRP1990 this was correct with my little girl and this time it says girl again I secretly hope thatโ€™s the case just as they will be so close in age. Of course I will be happy either way just wishing for a healthy baby but I know how close my sister and I are compared to my brothers.

HRP1990 · 20/01/2024 12:18

@rupertbear91 I do secretly too lol it says boy for me too lol

@Cat2022 Iโ€™d love 2 girls! What will be your age gap? Ours will be 2.5 months. I had saved all the clothes from my previous pregnancy, but now regardless of gender, because of the seasons itโ€™s not going to be any use ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Cat2022 · 20/01/2024 12:28

@HRP1990 ours will be 19 months. We are the same with seasons will be sorted for the early months when they are in sleepsuits but after that it doesnโ€™t quite line up unless they are smaller in size I guess.

MrsB2019x · 20/01/2024 13:28

@HRP1990 Mine says boy too! I never did it with DD so I just input the information from when I found out with her and it said girl ๐Ÿ‘€

I have been looking up Ramzi theory too, I know itโ€™s a load of rubbish but just a bit of fun! I put my early scan picture up on a Ramzi FB group, one admin said boy and the other said girl ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ so no help there!

Bakerbean · 20/01/2024 13:38

@ForeverHopeful67 thank you! It still feels so surreal but the intermittent nausea, food aversions, sore boobs & tiredness are all gradually making it feel more real. Did I read that youโ€™re a bit further along than me, around 9 weeks? Honestly, I thought the TWW was bad - never imagined how it would feel now having to wait these 12 weeks!

longingtobe23 · 20/01/2024 13:38

I got my 2-3weeks on my test last night and the seasick/nausea feeling has hit today ๐Ÿ˜…

I think Iโ€™m 5 weeksโ€ฆ wish we found out we were already 10 this is far long to wait

SC126 · 20/01/2024 13:40

Is anyone else non stop burping? I've got a bit of nausea but I seem to have the constant burps!
