Hi all ๐Ÿ‘‹ I think I'm 25th September so 4 weeks and 1 day today! I've not had too many symptoms yet apart from extreme thirst and being a bit more highly strung than usual. Although today I've had to keep winding myself all day by rubbing my chest as I've felt like I need to burp (good job im working from home!)๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿคฃ

Omg Iโ€™m due 30th September from my app and didnโ€™t realise thirst was a symptom, Iโ€™m the same .

This is my first baby, and I donโ€™t really know what I need to do now Iโ€™ve had the positive test? x

tierneytarny · 19/01/2024 10:27

Feeling a little better today - progression with my FRER tests and despite agreeing to throw away the cheapies - I didnโ€™t and I did another and there is some progression there too.

Absolutely exhausted - napping at lunch and in the evenings.

Woke up at 5:30 feeling horrendously nauseous and still feeling very nauseous now. Plus hormone headache.

Itโ€™s amazing that feeling so terrible is such a reassurance!

HolyMoly24 · 19/01/2024 10:28

@GeorgieRose23 just call your GP to let them know and they'll arrange a booking in appointment with a midwife some time between 7-10 weeks ๐Ÿ˜Š

Also my first baby so I'm assuming it's a symptom because I've never had anything like it! I rang my doctors but they told me I had to self-refer to my local hospital Trust. I'd ring your GP and I'm sure they'll let you know how it works where you are ๐Ÿ˜Š x

I definitely recommend hypnobirthing too someone recommended it to me and honestly didn't think it would help as much as it did, more for me with anxiety during pregnancy as I actually ended up going onto labour at 37 weeks and found out he was breech so ended in c section but it really helped me keep level heading the whole time :)

Bookworm1996 · 19/01/2024 10:52

I'm 4w 3d! I still can't get my head around it, & sometimes I doubt myself that it's actually happening! I keep double checking my pregnancy tests to make sure I didn't make it up in my head. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Will probably feel the same until I have my first scan tbh. Congrats! ๐Ÿ’–

longingtobe23 · 19/01/2024 10:58

I canโ€™t lay on my boobs - also looks as though Iโ€™ve had a free boob job - so so thirsty - crampy and shattered but couldnโ€™t be happier ๐Ÿ˜‚
Iโ€™m not sure if this will be our last due to difficulty we had even getting pregnant so trying to remember every small thing (even though I have had a good old moan donโ€™t you worry) but today woke up with spring in my stepโ€ฆ
scan is 2 weeks today so letโ€™s hope this continues!
Ordered more tests to hopefully get 2-3 and then 3+ next week dunno why but seems like the done thing!? ๐Ÿ˜‚

Xur · 19/01/2024 11:41

Seriously ladies I have no idea how do you get through the working week. This pregnancy laziness/tiredness is something else. My partner literally pushed me out of the bed to go outside and have some fresh air.
what am I going to do when I return to work after the holidaysโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜’

hol92 · 19/01/2024 11:58

When did everyone start feeling tired? I am 4weeks 1 day and have more energy than I have had in ages, it's making me worried (yes I hate myself that this is worrying me lol) because I remember the extreme tiredness with my 1st but not sure when it started! X

Xur · 19/01/2024 12:01

@hol92
personally..at 5 weeks. It started as wanting a nap around noon and going to bed early, but nowโ€ฆ.it is much more intense. I just want to be in bed all day.

siobhanmt247 · 19/01/2024 12:15

@hol92 I've had a few random days of tiredness between 4 and 5 weeks

@siobhanmt247 yaaay!

Hope it has brought you some peace of mind

MrsB2019x · 19/01/2024 12:41

@hol92 Mine started around 5 weeks.. I had a 2 hour nap yesterday and still fell straight to sleep at 11pm ๐Ÿ˜‚ itโ€™s getting worse Iโ€™m sure!

Amazing news @siobhanmt247 ๐Ÿฉท

@Xur I have had a week off work this week and Iโ€™m dreading going back so exhausted!

I felt like this.... was starting to think pregnancy was a breeze ๐Ÿ˜‚ I'm 4+5 today nausea hit yesterday and fatigue like a tonne of bricks today. Currently trying to end my lunchtime nap to go back to my desk and somehow work for the afternoon!

Xur · 19/01/2024 14:12

@siobhanmt247
congrats! I hope that will ease the worries!

tierneytarny · 19/01/2024 14:36

@hol92 I was randomly exhausted last Saturday (so must have only been just 4 weeks) but then fine until yesterday when I couldnโ€™t keep my eyes open.

Pregnancy exhaustion is unlike anything Iโ€™ve ever experienced

longingtobe23 · 19/01/2024 14:50

@hol92 i am just forcing myself to bed earlier about 9ish itโ€™s helping me during the day - also doing a whole hair routine before bed so I get extra in bed in the morning.. that said I have neglected it a lot because sleep > looking good for work ๐Ÿ˜‚

All very boring but better for me than wanting to nap between teaching lessons!

HRP1990 · 19/01/2024 15:30

@longingtobe23 I do this aswell ๐Ÿ˜‚ Iโ€™ve got less time in general with a toddler, so this makes my day easier!

I just got my ultrasound through! It was a text this time, Iโ€™ll be 12+6. Itโ€™s actually a few weeks before my DC turns two!

I was thinking.. Isnโ€™t it mad that you can have an ultrasound appointment before anyone has verified youโ€™re even pregnant? Lol.

hol92 · 19/01/2024 15:38

I must have completely jinxed this haha! Went out for a walk the same walk I do every day with my son and I feel awful! To top it I left the pooped on puppy pad in a bag and forgot to take it out of the room and my pup has ripped it all up and thrown it all over the room , I cried lol - now I feel pregnant ๐Ÿคฃ
Genuinely had loads of energy this morning tough!

RedFox24 · 19/01/2024 16:00

@HRP1990 I was thinking exactly the same today. Iโ€™m 7 weeks and the GP has already given me by prescription exemption certificate and no oneโ€™s checked Iโ€™m pregnant!

Iโ€™m supposed to be getting a call from the midwife before week 8 to arrange my booking appointment but heard nothing yet. I might chase on Monday, anyone else feeling a bit lost with the whole process ๐Ÿ˜‚

Thinking of booking a private scan for 10 weeks just for some reassurance!

Xur · 19/01/2024 16:19

Actually my friend when she got pregnant she insisted they do a blood test on her quickly to make sure she is actually pregnant (because she did not want to be pregnant at that time) and the GP said โ€œnope, if the Morrisons or Tesco or whatever test said youโ€™re pregnant-you are pregnantโ€ as in describing lack of urgency for a blood test ๐Ÿคฃ

Starlight11111 · 19/01/2024 16:43

So true! I asked my GP for bloods and they refused!

Got an email today telling me which midwife team I'd be referred to but still no sign of a booking in date yet.

6+2 today and feel like time could not be going any slower! 5 (broken ๐Ÿ˜‚) sleeps until my early scan ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป

cd24x · 19/01/2024 17:10

I got a big envelope of stuff from midwives today.

Booking in appt on 13th Feb when I'll be 8+4. Dating scan on 4th March when I'll be 11+3. That seems quite early (assume because they've gone with LMP date even though I know I ov'd late on day 20), but NHS advice says the dating scan can be between 10 and 14 weeks, so guess it shouldn't matter.

All of it seems ages away!
